Wolfbox g900 pro with the gen5diy harness. Plug and play, just had to tuck one wire to the back camera and that's it. It's a pretty sweet camera, worth it for the price and peace of mind
r/chevycolorado • Best Dash Camera ->Yea, so long as you have the auto dimming mirror it will work. Take off the old mirror and you'll see the harness drop down, plug the new one in and connect the power to the wolfbox and it's done. Gen5diy is the website, a little pricey but it's so convenient. I had everything hooked up and finished within 20 minutes, you'll spend more time going thru all the settings on the wolfbox than you will installing it
r/chevycolorado • Best Dash Camera ->Correct, it only comes with the cigarette lighter hookup to power it if you wanted to go that route. If you want simple clean and fast, then the Gen5diy website, you'll see the options for the colorado harnesses, only like 3 options if I remember correctly. Obviously you'll choose the dash cam harness. Once you unhook the factory mirror you'll see exactly where you plug the harness in, super straightforward. Just took me some time to get the wires tucked back into the plastic shroud, that takes a little time
r/chevycolorado • Best Dash Camera ->You want the usb-c option for the wolfbox g900
r/chevycolorado • Best Dash Camera ->That's what I have. Do you find the rearview camera to be zoomed out too much? It can go up and down, but it's not very useful as a mirror because everything looks so far away.
r/chevycolorado • What type of dash cameras do you have? ->Rear cam on G900 Pro has darkness issues at night. They are working on a firmware update to address it.
r/chevycolorado • Finally installed a digital rearview mirror/ dash cam in the ZR2 ->Adding a little update here: Since having this for about 2 weeks, I've taken it through the car wash multiple times without any issues so far. Also, I noticed that with the power tap that uses the mirror's auto-dimming feature to power the dashcam, when the truck's auto start/stop is engaged, every once in a while the power to the dashcam mirror gets cut as well. That said, I've swapped out that power tap for the [Wolfbox traditional hardwire kit](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09X9F8GMT?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title), which took literally minutes to install. [Using this fusebox diagram,](https://www.startmycar.com/chevrolet/colorado/info/fusebox/2023) I used the micro fuse #5 which is the driver's power seat, for constant power, and micro fuse #25, which is the auxillary USB power for the accessory power. Also, depending on your seating position, I find that the 12" G900 Pro mirror is a bit too large and obstructs my view a bit, and I am ducking a little to see more of the right side of the windshield view. I think 10" is the right size for a mirror, which would be [the Wolfbox G930 Dashcam mirror](https://www.amazon.com/WOLFBOX-Parking-Monitor-Reverse-Support/dp/B0BRLYT8M1/ref=sr_1_8?crid=1N5GJXS419SVS&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.lZqqpcVTaytT_yFBdnsp9yAgoFoZWmoBQPFr8v-NzSewnbUP-iVuI1I8KNZWEEz0kVKSXdCIyvhA6Z3VkCRPbU1-wADhzRGioaNqqYCLYDGVKsDK4Kw8si_THE2Bl36k051eNWQq84KDF3_VkehyI5ekr9hi4nDRG5scGqb6HG1VXkvpH88Yq0wm4PCkneXx4D8tERxN8n66kpNymCgGUfljH_fNZfMSSN0T4XtayLE.PYWleHXWnHVDePyJ90XtyF13Ny_q5f-i6pj4oH660rA&dib_tag=se&keywords=wolfbox+mirror&qid=1738785378&sprefix=wolfbox+mirro%2Caps%2C170&sr=8-8). It still has the 4K front camera resolution; however, the rear camera is a 1080P unit without the Sony Image Sensors or fast apertures for better lowlight situations. Just something to consider!
r/chevycolorado • Finally installed a digital rearview mirror/ dash cam in the ZR2 ->Resolution is definitely a factor but the bigger factor for me is the faster aperture which will pull in more light at night time. For me, that’s worth the trade off since I’ve seen really shit rear digital cameras on some OEM vehicles.
r/chevycolorado • Finally installed a digital rearview mirror/ dash cam in the ZR2 ->You should check out u/ColoRADo_ZR2 's setup, he uses an adjustable arm for the rear camera to see around whatever is in the bed. The G900's main advantages over the G930 is the overall width of the mirror is 12" vs 10", the rear camera is 2.5K resolution with a faster aperture f/1.8 lens vs a 1080p and f/2.8 lens, and the Sony image sensor. Everything else is basically the same, including the GPS functionality. For me, low light performance and clarity was higher on the priority list than the size of the screen. The OEM GM mirror is 10". The sun visors BARELY clear the 12" G900 housing. Either one you choose, you should definitely do it. Anything is better than the regular mirror in the Colorado
r/chevycolorado • Finally installed a digital rearview mirror/ dash cam in the ZR2 ->The g900 pro doesn't have HDR so makes things worse at night for licence plate reads, a baffling decision hence while I sold mine. The imx335 is ok for a rear but far behind the competition so I can see why they went for a newer sensor. I feel bad for most g900 pro buyers because it's only been a couple of months and they've already kind of shafted them with the TriPro release
r/Dashcam • Wolfbox G900 Pro vs...? ->I would've bought viofo pero ang mahal. Pero upgreadable naman sya for about 1k pesos more. Walang mga lane assist tech na kagaya ng ddpai z60 pero goods na goods kung same situation na parati blocked rear mirror ng sasakyan.
r/CarsPH • what are your recommended dash cams??????????????? ->Am using wolfbox g900 pro .... Amazing clarity both day and night ... The number plates are visible in night as well.
r/DubaiPetrolHeads • Review of a cheap dashcam. ->Wolfbox g900 pro. Easy install and loving it. https://preview.redd.it/ewf792ss3vfe1.jpeg?width=5712&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b629b076828a0ab1b0aaff393463eba9e218f7c1
r/chevycolorado • What type of dash cameras do you have? ->I have a G900 Pro and think it’s worth the money. The 12” display is great. Rear camera quality is so much better than a previous brand. Rear camera works very well in low light, however, it will be very grainy when there’s no light. This is true of every camera in that price range, and really no different from an analog rear view mirror in the absence of ambient light. The G900 Pro has some great features, such as a supercapacitor battery backup. Also, you can email Wolfbox and request a free hardwire kit. I requested the OBD-II version, which is an improvement over the cigarette lighter adapter.
r/Dashcam • Wolfbox G900 Pro vs...? ->Just bought the wolfbox 900pro, super excited to install it this weekend
r/chevycolorado • What type of dash cameras do you have? ->That adapter to power it is pretty neat. A shame you can’t use parking mode with it though. I hardwired mine. They also make a [polarizing lens](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C69NPFGP?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) for the front camera if you’re interested in that. Wish they made one for the rear camera too
r/chevycolorado • Finally installed a digital rearview mirror/ dash cam in the ZR2 ->The rear doesn’t do too bad, but at night when you’ve got other vehicles with leds it can cause some glares, at least for mine. I didn’t find the hard wiring too difficult. If anything, wire routing the rear camera was more challenging. I forget what fuse I tapped into, but the ones I really wanted to use have [three pronged fuses](https://duckduckgo.com/?q=three+pronged+fuse&t=iphone&iax=images&ia=images) which was a first for me. Never seen them before. The hardwire kit Wolfbox is only two pronged fuse adapters
r/chevycolorado • Finally installed a digital rearview mirror/ dash cam in the ZR2 ->Wolfbox g900 pro is what I use in my bronco. It has a parking mode where it will record when vehicle is off or when the G sensor is triggered. Used code: Bronco6gen for 18% off. https://wolfbox.com/?ref=Bronco6gen My blog on the dash camera. https://www.kentuckianabroncooffroadmeets.com/blog-1-1/Blog%20Post%20Title%20One-9bgzk
r/FordBronco • Dash cam recommendations ->Wolfbox G900 Pro. Expensive, but really nice. Don't know where does installs, I installed my own
r/HuntsvilleAlabama • Car Camera install ->This is the way. [This G900Pro Kit](https://www.amazon.com/WOLFBOX-G900-PRO-Included-Recording/dp/B0DD78Y3L5?&linkCode=ll1&tag=tiincus-20&linkId=f019b2f595fcfa46f08e378658d2de9c&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl) comes with USB C - 12 V Plug but you can get a kit to hard wire it to the battery if you prefer. The differences in kits is usually how its wired.
r/chevycolorado • What type of dash cameras do you have? ->Part 2: It does take a minute to get used to the waaaaay wider field of view the rear facing camera gives you over a standard center mounted rear view mirror. I definitely like the wider view more than the standard mirror. By the time a car passing you from the rear on either side starts to disappear from the camera view, you can see it in your exterior mirrors. Also, you can't easily check your look in the rear view like you are used to. You have to turn off the screen to do that. Just use your visor mirror. Also, the initial trepidation about tearing apart the interior on my brand new truck was baseless as the process was very simple and GM made it very easy to access the fuse panel and pathways for the wires. Overall, I am very pleased.
r/chevycolorado • Finally installed a digital rearview mirror/ dash cam in the ZR2 ->WOLFBOX G900Pro.. It's awesome in my opinion.
r/chevycolorado • What type of dash cameras do you have? ->It took a little getting used to for me, but now I really like the wider field of view. Any vehicle approaching from behind on either side can easily be seen all the way until they appear in the outside rear view mirrow, so, essentially no blind spots. And yes, I agree, everything does appear farther away, so you can't see a lot of detail at a glance, but still like it. But as I said, it did take me a lil bit to get used to it. As well as the unexpection motion that the "mirror" captures that the standard inside mirror did not.
r/chevycolorado • What type of dash cameras do you have? ->Well that depends. In one vehicle I have the Viofo A229 Plus triple channel covering most basis in terms of viewing angles. Also running the Wolfbox G900 Pro 2 channel rear view mirror dash cam which has the back-up camera feature, but for my needs I could easily live w/o the latter.

r/dashcams • 2024/2025 Dash Cam Recommendations? ->Best off checking out YouTube reviews on each paying attention to the sample footage, then coming to your own conclusions... I own the Wolfbox G900. Although it's been super reliable and such, and I love the platform (large display), I can honestly say the footage from the rear camera is nowhere near 2.5K more like a lower end 1080p. Front camera is OK but there again, not 4K at full res more like an OK 2.5K.
r/Dashcam • Wolf box G900 vs G850 vs G840s ->In fairly well lit areas it'll suffice, anything less and it degrades quite rapidly. Parking assistance works fine although the guide lines only have a vertical adjustment nothing horizontal... I rarely rely on the function to be honest but it is there if we need it.
r/Dashcam • Wolf box G900 vs G850 vs G840s ->I used the Wolfbox G900 for 2.3 year (bought in Nov 2022) loving the form factor. Although the rear cameras video resolution (1080p) wasn't the greatest it did the trick during the daytime, for the most part. Reliability wise is was rock solid never having an ounce of issues with it through three winters and two whole summers. Then recently I upgraded to the Wolfbox G900 Pro as the upgrades it offered were worthwhile to me. The front cameras upgraded 4K Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 Image Sensor is a definite game changer. The rear camera uses the older 2.5K Sony STARVIS IMX335 Image Sensor yet it has made quite a difference too both day and night. I ended up being so happy with the G900 Pro that we purchased another for our other vehicle LOL. In my opinion, the only way to improve upon the rear camera video resolution even more is to equip it with either the newest Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 (4K) or IMX675 (2K) image sensor. Don't foresee that happening any time soon though. Wolfbox does have a couple of new up and coming dash cams that cane be preordered... \* [G900 TriPro Bumper Version 3](https://wolfbox.com/products/wolfbox-g900tripro-bumper-version-3-channel-rearview-mirror) \* [TriPro 4K+2.5K+1080P 3 Channel Cabin Monitor](https://wolfbox.com/products/wolfbox-g900tripro-cabin-version-3-channel-dash-camera) P.S. The sensor used in the front camera is the 4K Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678. The rear cameras use a Omnivision Purecel Plus OS04J10 sensor which is totally foreign to me, and the third cameras sensor is unknown. Compared to the G900 Pro's price ($299.99 USD) these are $359.99 USD.
r/Dashcam • Wolfbox G900 Pro vs...? ->Yes, being an early adopter has its drawbacks sometimes for sure... But, I believe a firmware update could possibly allow for HDR support if Wolfbox has the willingness to do so. Unless the chipset says otherwise. Either way... Having owned the 1st Gen G900 for 2.3 years the Pro is a definite upgrade in several ways for me personally, and I got two for the price of one. So no real regrets here so far. I'm going to keep an eye on the final verdict for TriPro's yet unlikely to purchase either one. Reason being, I have my eye on the 70mai Omni X800... Speaking of early adopters, I have the 1st Gen Omni X200 with the X800 being much improved so gots to have it LOL.
r/Dashcam • Wolfbox G900 Pro vs...? ->I second the Wolfbox. I won the G900 Pro in a contest and love it.
r/FordBronco • Dash cam recommendations ->Got my XSE a week ago and went with the Wolfbox 900p. It's been a couple of days and so far really happy with it. Easy to install and I like the voice commands option. Also, as I'm getting used to driving the van, there are some blind spots using the center rearview mirror so having the ability to see from the rear cam is super helpful. Another good option is FitcamX which gives a nice OEM look.
r/ToyotaSienna • Toyota integrated dash cam or after market? ->Not worth the price .. I'm using Wolfbox G900 dashcam with Digital rearview mirror.
r/ToyotaSienna • Any feedback on the Toyota integrated Dash Cam? ->I have the 900. I can’t say enough good things. Even had to use it today to pull footage from an incident with an 18-wheeler. Footage is easy to pull and save, quality is insane. No more headlights in your rear view mirror. It’s a massive screen so your passengers get to watch cars around you as well. Easy installation, did mine myself. The screen can be customized to show speed/direction what not if you choose. Such great equipment!
r/dashcams • Best dash cam? ->Wolfblox 900 front and rear camera, and rear view mirror
r/4Runner • Who’s got a dash cam and what you using? ->I went with a Wolfbox 900. Pretty good, hardwired to a fuse, and I pushed the cables up into the trim around the windshield. https://preview.redd.it/8zomplj18dne1.jpeg?width=2796&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=66c70362c8292957f1114fd956caf21d8e33c5a7
r/FordBronco • Dash cams? ->Blackvue are really popular and a safe bet. I went with a GKU D600 dual cam 4K set for $139, lacks a proper parking mode though. I’m going to upgrade to one of these for about $240. Preferred as it uses the rear camera as the rear vision mirror, or can show dual pictures. And depending how you wire the 2 power lines between constant and switched power it determines how your parking mode is set . r/CarsAustralia • Any recommendations for dashcams? ->I’m personally rocking a WolfBox Mirror dashcam. I’ve actually had some people question if it’s even recording 😂 https://preview.redd.it/05stputpuwae1.jpeg?width=3754&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=352371c9a1f94581895e4df7f8cd221d3311f9a6 Here’s what it looks like inside of my 25’ sport sedan
r/civic • Best Dash Cam ->Slightly off topic with this, but I also love this dashcam because the rear camera helps me know when I’m clear to switch lanes especially if I need to do it with what some would say “less space than ideal”
r/civic • Best Dash Cam ->I use a WolfBox Mirror dash cam. Front and rear with digital rear view mirror. I love mine, and it has 24/7 parking mode too. 10/10 for $200. (I did have to hardwire it into the car with 2 fuse taps but wasn’t to hard)
r/civic • Dash cam? ->Wolfbox (digital rear view mirror). Tucked wiring under the headliner, ran down driver side pillar behind fuse box. You can't see the wiring at all.
r/GR86 • What dash cams does everybody use? ->I have one that mounts on the mirror, so it stays out of the sun & has a rear camera with multiple inside or plate mounted options - can orient the rear upside down/rightside up, etc. - it replaces the mirror with a large LED screen, constantly records both cameras, you can switch F/R/Both views & records the cabin audio as long as the key is in the ignition & at least at the "accessories" position - [https://wolfbox.com/](https://wolfbox.com/) - was $110 on amazon when I got it. I now feel vulnerable if I drive a car without one. (although most of my recordings are just me swearing at other drivers, "C'Mon TEXAS get the fuck moving!" "YES KANSAS, right on red is legal!" rather than any compelling accident footage)
r/florida • Florida friends, how does a dash cam here not become a hot mess? Literally. ->Really like the mirror wolfbox I installed. It can be turned off while driving (the screen) and the mirror is reflective enough to use as a regular mirror. All the bells and whistles are useful too. Connects easily through wifi via the app.
r/nissanfrontier • Dash cam recommendations ->Got the mirror Wolfbox on my S. Looks great (inconspicuous) and works great.
r/S2000 • ~Dashcam Recommendations?? 🚙💨📷🤔 ->Not at all, great visibility and keeps it all very clean! No need to have a bulky camera attached to the windshield. Backup camera is decent and activates when you go into reverse… huge screen for it is a plus. When you turn the screen off the mirror works as a mirror like normal.
r/S2000 • ~Dashcam Recommendations?? 🚙💨📷🤔 ->I have a Wolfbox mirror screen that does rear and front view and the because it's a rear view screen, I get a better view, don't have to look through heads and gear and get a wider FOV. It's great. I love it. Probably $120 for the whole kit and 4k everything I think
r/4Runner • Who’s got a dash cam and what you using? ->
