Yea, so long as you have the auto dimming mirror it will work. Take off the old mirror and you'll see the harness drop down, plug the new one in and connect the power to the wolfbox and it's done. Gen5diy is the website, a little pricey but it's so convenient. I had everything hooked up and finished within 20 minutes, you'll spend more time going thru all the settings on the wolfbox than you will installing it

Correct, it only comes with the cigarette lighter hookup to power it if you wanted to go that route. If you want simple clean and fast, then the Gen5diy website, you'll see the options for the colorado harnesses, only like 3 options if I remember correctly. Obviously you'll choose the dash cam harness. Once you unhook the factory mirror you'll see exactly where you plug the harness in, super straightforward. Just took me some time to get the wires tucked back into the plastic shroud, that takes a little time

I have a G900Pro and while I agree, some visibility is better than none. My camper blocked my view entirely, so I’m very happy with it. I upgraded my backup lights, so it’s not really an issue, but the sensor definitely struggles in low light. In a city though, night time looks great. The TriPro’s rear sensor is supposed to be a hair better at low light, but like any other sensor, if there isn’t much light going in, it won’t work well. A sensor to rival normal view is not a realistic expectation out of this type of system. https://preview.redd.it/gtxjcrglia9f1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a97954ae8a5d9fe79eb8e2fbd265b4970e7800f2

They do make one, and actually have one that I won’t use. I’ll give you a killer deal if you’re interested so I can get rid of it. I have [this](https://a.co/d/fHTrsVk) one, so make sure you have the 7 pin one. I didn’t use it because I wanted parking mode recording, and the adapter doesn’t provide that. The adapter gives you ignition power and ground. I needed ignition power, accessory power, and ground, so the only way to get that is via a fuse tap. I have a WOLFBOX G900 Pro for reference.

Adding a little update here: Since having this for about 2 weeks, I've taken it through the car wash multiple times without any issues so far. Also, I noticed that with the power tap that uses the mirror's auto-dimming feature to power the dashcam, when the truck's auto start/stop is engaged, every once in a while the power to the dashcam mirror gets cut as well. That said, I've swapped out that power tap for the [Wolfbox traditional hardwire kit](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09X9F8GMT?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title), which took literally minutes to install. [Using this fusebox diagram,](https://www.startmycar.com/chevrolet/colorado/info/fusebox/2023) I used the micro fuse #5 which is the driver's power seat, for constant power, and micro fuse #25, which is the auxillary USB power for the accessory power. Also, depending on your seating position, I find that the 12" G900 Pro mirror is a bit too large and obstructs my view a bit, and I am ducking a little to see more of the right side of the windshield view. I think 10" is the right size for a mirror, which would be [the Wolfbox G930 Dashcam mirror](https://www.amazon.com/WOLFBOX-Parking-Monitor-Reverse-Support/dp/B0BRLYT8M1/ref=sr_1_8?crid=1N5GJXS419SVS&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.lZqqpcVTaytT_yFBdnsp9yAgoFoZWmoBQPFr8v-NzSewnbUP-iVuI1I8KNZWEEz0kVKSXdCIyvhA6Z3VkCRPbU1-wADhzRGioaNqqYCLYDGVKsDK4Kw8si_THE2Bl36k051eNWQq84KDF3_VkehyI5ekr9hi4nDRG5scGqb6HG1VXkvpH88Yq0wm4PCkneXx4D8tERxN8n66kpNymCgGUfljH_fNZfMSSN0T4XtayLE.PYWleHXWnHVDePyJ90XtyF13Ny_q5f-i6pj4oH660rA&dib_tag=se&keywords=wolfbox+mirror&qid=1738785378&sprefix=wolfbox+mirro%2Caps%2C170&sr=8-8). It still has the 4K front camera resolution; however, the rear camera is a 1080P unit without the Sony Image Sensors or fast apertures for better lowlight situations. Just something to consider!

Resolution is definitely a factor but the bigger factor for me is the faster aperture which will pull in more light at night time. For me, that’s worth the trade off since I’ve seen really shit rear digital cameras on some OEM vehicles.

You should check out u/ColoRADo_ZR2 's setup, he uses an adjustable arm for the rear camera to see around whatever is in the bed. The G900's main advantages over the G930 is the overall width of the mirror is 12" vs 10", the rear camera is 2.5K resolution with a faster aperture f/1.8 lens vs a 1080p and f/2.8 lens, and the Sony image sensor. Everything else is basically the same, including the GPS functionality. For me, low light performance and clarity was higher on the priority list than the size of the screen. The OEM GM mirror is 10". The sun visors BARELY clear the 12" G900 housing. Either one you choose, you should definitely do it. Anything is better than the regular mirror in the Colorado

The imx335 is ok for a rear but far behind the competition so I can see why they went for a newer sensor. I feel bad for most g900 pro buyers because it's only been a couple of months and they've already kind of shafted them with the TriPro release

Maganda ang cameras clear and 4k lalo na sa front. Yung rear, ok naman kaso madilim kapag dim yung light sa area. Pero upgreadable naman sya for about 1k pesos more. The [Woolfbox G900 Pro](https://tr.ee/U6Eese) with the OEM adapter will replace your current mirror. It comes with a rearview camera if you want to use it, but you don't have too. Still works great as a regular mirror. Easy enough to route cabling so you do not see anything.

I have a G900 Pro and think it’s worth the money. The 12” display is great. Rear camera quality is so much better than a previous brand. Rear camera works very well in low light, however, it will be very grainy when there’s no light. This is true of every camera in that price range, and really no different from an analog rear view mirror in the absence of ambient light. The G900 Pro has some great features, such as a supercapacitor battery backup. Also, you can email Wolfbox and request a free hardwire kit. I requested the OBD-II version, which is an improvement over the cigarette lighter adapter.

I ended up getting mine and have similar thoughts. It is OK at best, but not the game changer the marketing says it is. In fact, GMs stock rearview mirror camera is light years better than this one. I like that it doubles as a decent dashcam, but the quality of the rear camera is not great. This is surprising because it is a rear view mirror after all, but the good camera is forward facing.

That adapter to power it is pretty neat. A shame you can’t use parking mode with it though. I hardwired mine. They also make a [polarizing lens](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C69NPFGP?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) for the front camera if you’re interested in that. Wish they made one for the rear camera too

The rear doesn’t do too bad, but at night when you’ve got other vehicles with leds it can cause some glares, at least for mine. I didn’t find the hard wiring too difficult. If anything, wire routing the rear camera was more challenging. I forget what fuse I tapped into, but the ones I really wanted to use have [three pronged fuses](https://duckduckgo.com/?q=three+pronged+fuse&t=iphone&iax=images&ia=images) which was a first for me. Never seen them before. The hardwire kit Wolfbox is only two pronged fuse adapters

I just got a Wolfpack g900 pro for my charger and it's really nice. I mainly got it for a better way to see out of the rear since the tint is so dark. So far it's solid. The hardest part was figuring out which fuses to hardwire it too since my charger has two batteries and didn't want to run the power to the back of the car. Once you are set up and used to it, it's really nice

Part 2: It does take a minute to get used to the waaaaay wider field of view the rear facing camera gives you over a standard center mounted rear view mirror.  I definitely like the wider view more than the standard mirror. By the time a car passing you from the rear on either side starts to disappear from the camera view, you can see it in your exterior mirrors.   Also, you can't easily check your look in the rear view like you are used to. You have to turn off the screen to do that. Just use your visor mirror. Also, the initial trepidation about tearing apart the interior on my brand new truck was baseless as the process was very simple and GM made it very easy to access the fuse panel and pathways for the wires.  Overall, I am very pleased

It took a little getting used to for me, but now I really like the wider field of view. Any vehicle approaching from behind on either side can easily be seen all the way until they appear in the outside rear view mirrow, so, essentially no blind spots. And yes, I agree, everything does appear farther away, so you can't see a lot of detail at a glance, but still like it. But as I said, it did take me a lil bit to get used to it. As well as the unexpection motion that the "mirror" captures that the standard inside mirror did not.

That's a bummer sorry to hear that. Yeah I am a techno junkie of sorts which also includes dash cams lol. I've been using dash cams in one for another since the late 2010's so we own many. At present we two 2-channel setups (front & rear) in both our car and truck. I've used many brands of dash cams with my fav being Viofos's, but 70mai fits in there too due to their value for the monies. I purchased my 70mai A810 pre-launch with it working just fine in my case but removed it as we decided to change our setups as shown below. The SD card I've mainly used with the 70mai's has been the SanDisk High Endurance ones ranging from 64GB to 128GB. I used the Wolfbox G900 for 2.3 year (bought in Nov 2022) loving the form factor. Although the rear cameras video resolution (1080p) wasn't the greatest it did the trick during the daytime, for the most part. Reliability wise is was rock solid never having an ounce of issues with it through three winters and two whole summers. Then recently I upgraded to the Wolfbox G900 Pro as the upgrades it offered were worthwhile to me. The front cameras upgraded 4K Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 Image Sensor is a definite game changer. The rear camera uses the older 2.5K Sony STARVIS IMX335 Image Sensor yet it has made quite a difference too both day and night. I ended up being so happy with the G900 Pro that we purchased another for our other vehicle LOL. In my opinion, the only way to improve upon the rear camera video resolution even more is to equip it with either the newest Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 (4K) or IMX675 (2K) image sensor. Don't foresee that happening any time soon though. Wolfbox does have a couple of new up and coming dash cams that cane be preordered... \* [G900 TriPro Bumper Version 3](https://wolfbox.com/products/wolfbox-g900tripro-bumper-version-3-channel-rearview-mirror) \* [TriPro 4K+2.5K+1080P 3 Channel Cabin Monitor](https://wolfbox.com/products/wolfbox-g900tripro-cabin-version-3-channel-dash-camera) P.S. The sensor used in the front camera is the 4K Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678. The rear cameras use a Omnivision Purecel Plus OS04J10 sensor which is totally foreign to me, and the third cameras sensor is unknown. Compared to the G900 Pro's price ($299.99 USD) these are $359.99 USD.

Yes, being an early adopter has its drawbacks sometimes for sure... But, I believe a firmware update could possibly allow for HDR support if Wolfbox has the willingness to do so. Unless the chipset says otherwise. Either way... Having owned the 1st Gen G900 for 2.3 years the Pro is a definite upgrade in several ways for me personally, and I got two for the price of one. So no real regrets here so far. I'm going to keep an eye on the final verdict for TriPro's yet unlikely to purchase either one. Reason being, I have my eye on the 70mai Omni X800... Speaking of early adopters, I have the 1st Gen Omni X200 with the X800 being much improved so gots to have it LOL.

In December 2023 we had a fairly lengthy cold snap here in BC, Canada, with the temps dipping low as -36C (-32F). At that time I was using the Wolfbox G900 2-ch Rear View Mirror dash cam, a couple of Viofo A119 V3's, and a Viofo A119 Mini 2. All worked flawlessly never skipping a beat, not even once. Today, I am still using the Wolfbox G900 I purchased in Nov 2022 plus we retained the Viofo A119 Mini 2. Both still reliable as all get out. New additions, the Viofo A229 Plus 3-ch, and a couple of 70mai's the M500 1-ch & S500 2-ch rear view mirror. Only 5ish months on with these yet so far I have nothing to complain about as they have both been rock solid too. The successor to the Wolfbox G900 is the G900 Pro. The later now has the newest Sony Starvis 8MP IMX678 4K Image Sensor in the front delivering superior image/video quality.

Well, if you just want a single channel dash cam maybe have a look at the Viofo A119 Mini 2 or Viofo VS1 Mini. As for a two channel, then consider the older (released in 2020) Viofo A129 Plus Duo. All dash cams mentioned record in 2K front. Yes I am a bit partial to the brand as they have served me well over the year, "can" be reasonably priced considering feature-set, and they can easily be found on Amazon where I purchased my five two Viofo's in 2019. P.S. Viofo isn't the only brand we have used over our 15 years of dealing with dash cams. At present, besides having a Viofo A119 Mini 2 & A229 Plus 3-ch in play we are also using the 70mai m500 & S500, and the Wolfbox G900 Pro.

Got my XSE a week ago and went with the Wolfbox 900p. It's been a couple of days and so far really happy with it. Easy to install and I like the voice commands option. Also, as I'm getting used to driving the van, there are some blind spots using the center rearview mirror so having the ability to see from the rear cam is super helpful. Another good option is FitcamX which gives a nice OEM look.

You can! The screen is reflective, so when it's no backlit with the display it acts as a regular mirror while still recording. Has impact detection but you can also power it on in under 2 seconds to mark a clip as important if you wanted to collect footage in a folder away from the footage that gets rewritten.

I think cheap dashcams quality suffers the most in night time. I used to have a wolfbox g900 and during night time it recorded like a potato. How’s it with this one? But ever since this sub has raised awareness about battery pack dashcams vs supercapacitors I don’t think I’ll ever get a non-supercapacitor one.

I just self installed with a hardwire kit a Wolfbox G900 front and rear In my new to me 2019 Civic Sport Touring Hatchback. It was my first hardwire setup and I spent a lot of time on You researching how to do it properly. There is detail on how to correctly use the fuse taps, how to safety wire around air bags and other tips and tricks. Some of the hardest parts were routing the wires through the rubber grommets of the factory wiring of the hatch. Non-pro tip, a wire hanger and electrical tap make for a decent snake. Can a self install be done, Yes, however after my experience I can appreciate the work of a professional install.

I would say to hardwire a dash cam you have to be careful of things like how you route the cables near the airbags as well as how you properly use fuse taps. I just installed a WolfBox G900 into a 2019 Honda Civic hatchback and it took a lot of YouTube watching to understand the details to do it professionally and safely. One of the hardest parts was getting g ng the wires through the factory rubber boots between the car frame and the hatchback. If one is not handy / used to such projects I say going to an installer is the best option.

I have the 900. I can’t say enough good things. Even had to use it today to pull footage from an incident with an 18-wheeler. Footage is easy to pull and save, quality is insane. No more headlights in your rear view mirror. It’s a massive screen so your passengers get to watch cars around you as well. Easy installation, did mine myself. I have the Wolfbox 900h (I think). Not too bad to run the wires. Treat YouTube videos on how to hardwire. The parking mode just does time lapse videos, but I didn’t see any others that did straight video recording. Figured that would need a backup battery It goes right over the rear view mirror, which I like as the windshield view is small. It’s not an obvious Dashcam. Images are great. Video is used at night to help see the rear view.

I installed it in 30 minutes on my 2024 HD and a 22 refresh 1500 but im sure even someone less mechanically inclined would find it easy. If you decide to get this one send me a dm and ill send you a picture of how I have mine hardwired and will save you that step and 20 minutes of having to test fuses and help any other way I can. I see someone being a jerk and this is absolutely a question that could be specific to a vehicle since messing with the fusebox could be an expensive mistake and the way its hardwired would not be the same on every vehicle.

I like my wolf box but I have a few complaints. the rearview camera quality kind of sucks, if you try and look at playback video footage It is sped up and not normal speed. I reached out the Wolf box and they said it is to save space when storing videos. The fix I was told is to use there dedicated video player. Last thing is the stabilization. just normal bumps in the road cause the camera footage to move a lot. I would prefer they use a camera that had some type of video stabilization to mitigate this. I give them a 3.5 out of 5
