I have the Wolfbox G900TriPro mirror, it works awesome reviewing the footage directly on the large screen, or it will playback on your phone with its built in WiFi. It’s worth the money, I love it.
Yeah and gives you additional front and rear camera option.
I mounted the front in my grill and the rear on the bumper. In reverse I get a. View from Toyota and a view from Wolfbox which is super useful. I also prefer the rear camera when driving over just the mirror. No issues with the bed or cab loaded, as the camera is outside of the truck.
I use a Wolfbox 900 three camera set up and love it.
I've used other solutions in the past, usually cheapo ones.
It has a fairly large screen that fits over the existing rear view, and I find that a FAR easier spot to look for backing, in traffic, etc.
One camera is in the back of that mirror mount. One in the rear of the rig. And I use the third low in front for offroading, but I suppose it could be anywhere.
But that's not 360 coverage. They might have something like that though. Great customer service. The security feature is either set by a bit of delay, or bumps. Like all such alarms, it requires some power though. You might need to look at more complex battery/securty setups if you want 24/7 recording. Cell connection is even more complex. Not sure why there'd be a connection with the stereo—to blast Ride of the Valkyries when someone gets close? :)
They have a few models each. I got the G900 Tripro which has a Starvis 2 front camera. Not sure what the Purecel thing is in the rear (got these mainly to get a digital rear view). Pelsee p12 pro max has starvis 2 front and starvis rear.
Check YouTube - there are several people dedicated to reviewing dash cams. For image clarity, from what I understand, you’ll need to be mindful of the camera sensor not just resolution. Typically the rear camera will be lower resolution and lower quality sensor. I went with Wolfbox G900 Tripro since I wanted a rear view mirror camspecifically. It came with wiring to do the parking mode recording but I didn’t installthat. NGL, some of the wire routing tested mypatience. $350 sounds fine for an install.
We just started using the Wolfbox G900 Tripro. I mostly got this for the digital rear view mirror functionality but the Dashcam is good on this unit, too. What I gathered is you need a good camera/chip to really pick up details like license plate numbers. So far my husband doesn’t like the digital rear view but I think it’s great at covering blind spots as the angle is really wide. The tripro is a 3 channel unit with front, rear and extra camera (choose either exterior or interior mount).
I have a similar dashcam (Wolfbox g900 Tripro) and its really awesome. It’s basically like a digital rear view mirror. The angle is very wide on mine and it entirely covers blind spots.
I have the Wolfbox G900 Tripro. It’s good, hardwired it myself, easy to install if you’re knowledgeable. I probably wouldn’t pay that much for a dashcam again, but I’ll live.
