I've had 2 Bona Vita 8 cups. Both eventually stopped finishing their brew cycle mid-way, so I bit the bullet and bought a Moccamaster which will last for life.

My Bonavita lasted 6 years before petering out and dying. Great coffee consistently. Now I'm trying to decide between a moccamaster and a decent breville, possibly the Braun multi serve or Oxo 12 cup.

I'm surprised I don't hear Bonavita recommended as much. It was perfect. And the only reason I don't use it any longer is that upgraded to the breville precision. Which was not as much of an upgrade as one would think.

It was fine for its purpose at the time—coffee when I was stuck at my desk—but I wouldn’t want one as my main coffee maker. At home, I used a Bonavita 8-cup that I picked up refurbished for $80, and it is still brewing like the day I bought it (I am a pour over person now, but we use the Bonavita when we have people over). You’re far better off hunting down a refurbished, quality option than wasting $90 on a Zutto.
