I have one of these and it's still going strong after a decade of use. The thermal carafe is nice. Keeps coffee hot for a long time and doesn't burn it because there's no heating element. It has one button on it, so operation couldn't be easier.
I've had 2 Bona Vita 8 cups. Both eventually stopped finishing their brew cycle mid-way, so I bit the bullet and bought a Moccamaster which will last for life.
Hey, I have this same coffee maker. It sucks. I'm using it as a placeholder until I can decide on a decent automatic / forever option.
My Bonavita lasted 6 years before petering out and dying. Great coffee consistently. Now I'm trying to decide between a moccamaster and a decent breville, possibly the Braun multi serve or Oxo 12 cup.
