I had a Cuisinart "Grind - N Brew" with the built in grinder for 10+ years. Thought i'd "Upgrade" to the Breville with its hopper of coffee beans and it automatically figuring out how much coffee to grind based on how many cups of coffee you were making in the pot. After about 2 years it started to leak, starting off once in a while, and then getting worse. And by leak, it's not just some water running out... its while the coffee is being made and since I use the timer i'd come downstairs in the morning to see a ton of coffee spilled all over the counts, down the drawers, and on the floor. The chute between the grinder and basket would also clog. I went back to a new Cuisinart like 3 years ago and it's been great.

Ratio Six > Moccamaster KGBV > everything else We had one of those really fancy expensive Breville brewers, but it tasted like plastic even a year later.

It depends what you want: If you want to tweak and maybe hit maximal bean flavor expression w/ said tweability, probably a fellow aiden. If you want a no fuss tank that'll last forever - Moccamaster If you want a few basic features but nothing crazy that'll also be very durable - Sage/Breville brewer

If simplicity and well executed function matter most, the brazen is the best over all of the pump based brewers. The water tank is the boiler and sits directly above the filter basket. My sage/breville and moccamaster could never produce cups as bright as the brazen.

Sage Breville and the Moccamaster. I’ve had the Sage Breville for a few years and it’s great, you can set the water temperature, flow speed, immersion time and even pre-set it to start at a given hour. Only downside is the thermal coffee pot. To really preserve heat it needs to be pre-heated with hot or boiling water which is nuisance. Otherwise, if you’re making smaller amounts and they flow into the cold pot a lot of the heat goes to heating up the pot and the coffee cools down quite fast.
