Ratio if you like nice things, but they are not in your price range. I own a Bunn BTX-B and it brews at proper temperature and is a very simple machine. It is like a mini-commercial unit. Lots of plastic but the resulting product is good and will last you a long time as long as you don’t just leave it on and burn out the heating element. Most people that complain about it basically run the reservoir dry and it kills the machine. You can fix it, but better to just treat the machine right.
r/BuyItForLife • What is the Best Coffee Makers on the Market? ->I got my husband a Bunn several years ago, which I think was ~$90. It's awesome. Coffee in like 4 minutes is awesome. We run vinegar or citric acid through it every few months to keep it clean.
r/BuyItForLife • Need a Coffee Maker Recommendation Under $100 CAD ->The Bunn commercial ones are stainless steel throughout. I went through this search already a few years ago and now I use a stainless steel electric kettle and ceramic pour over.
r/BuyItForLife • Do any coffee machines exist that don't pour the hot coffee over plastic before it goes into the pot? ->I love my Bunn. Makes a quick, great pot of coffee. Run vinegar through it once a month and it keeps kicking. If something goes wrong with it, they’re pretty repairable.
r/BuyItForLife • Looking for a BIFL coffee maker! ->My family has passed around 2 Bunn machines for the past 15+ years. No electronics, no scheduling. Just an on-off switch.
r/BuyItForLife • Looking for a BIFL coffee maker! ->Funny you do not like Bunn. That is the only company offering a plastic free experience for the hot water if you get the right machine and funnel. For me there is no other choice. At least the OXO offers a metal funnel. Fact is the BUNN is serviceable by yourself so the BIFL factor is better. A friend of mine likes his Moccamaster btw.
r/BuyItForLife • Moccamaster or OXO coffee maker? ->for the price, can't beat a BUNN
r/JamesHoffmann • What would be the best drip coffee machine? ->No experience with the brands you referenced. But I’ll always suggest a Bunn drip coffee maker.
r/BuyItForLife • What is the Best Coffee Makers on the Market? ->I’ll continue to recommend a Bunn coffee maker.
r/BuyItForLife • What is the Best Coffee Makers on the Market? ->If you’re just a regular coffee drinker, I’m a big believer in Bunn coffee makers. We’ve used them for 20 years or more.
r/smarthome • Best coffee maker recommendations - Smart or non-smart, which one is really better? ->Fetco all day. Cut above the rest. Then Curtis followed by bunn. Don’t consider anything else. Where in Nj did you open? I live in eastern pa and love checking out new spots.
r/barista • Commercial Drip Coffeemakers ->I have a Bunn coffee maker and make either a half or full pot depending on the days plan. If I'm going to work I make a half pot and it all goes into the thremos. If I'm staying home I make a full pot because I'm Lorelai Gilmore when it comes to coffee. I have a Bunn because it keeps a tank of water hot and makes a full pot in 3 minutes. The pot is insulated instead of a burner so it doesn't turn into mud when it sits.
r/LivingAlone • How do you make your coffee? ->We received a Bunn for a wedding gift 20 years ago and it gave us 10 years of good service. The downside is that with hot water chamber inside can get clogged with mineral deposits and is tough to descale if you use hard water in it which will lead to less reliable water temperature, etc... Makers like Moccamasters just have copper coils with no internal water chamber so easier to clean/maintain. That being said, we have used a Bunn at work for 15 years with RO water and it hasn't missed a beat. Had a burner go bad and swapped it out in 15 minutes and the replacement was $20.
r/BuyItForLife • [deleted by user] ->1-2 pots a day get a mocamaster. They go on sale I think I got mine for 170 2 years ago. I got the thermal carafe one and just take the pot to my desk in the morning. A gripe I have is I have to fill it to the absolute brim to get 3 normal coffee cup out of each pot. If your household drinks a lot of coffee (4+ a day), get a used commercial BUNN. Those things will not only last decades but make really good coffee. The non commercial one is kind of meh. These are the best for cheapish coffee (Folgers, Maxwell House) but also better grounds. My personal preference is like BUNN made coffee better for daily drinking as I’m also a cheap ass and only use the good coffee 1-2x a week.
r/BuyItForLife • What is the Best Coffee Makers on the Market? ->not a coffee expert here. but my old bunn commercial drip has been doing fine for 20 years, theyre pricey from a restaurant supply company but if you can track down a used one at a decent price theyre nice to have, its commercial grade so literally everything on it is replaceable, heating element, sensors, switches, hot plates all of it is readily available. mine is plumbed into the water supply, so just grind the beans dump them into the filter basket and hit the button, 3 minutes later fresh coffee. mine has a 2nd warmer on top so it can keep 2 pots going for large gatherings. does need taken apart and cleaned on occasion to deal with the limewater scaling and couple of pots of vinegar run thru it to get it back to top form. if you are using water thru a softnening system that gets cut back dramatically, way less minerals to build up in your coffeemaker.
r/BuyItForLife • What is the Best Coffee Makers on the Market? ->I set my bunn on a timer so it only warms up the water between 6am-8am every morning. Works fine.
r/BuyItForLife • Do any coffee machines exist that don't pour the hot coffee over plastic before it goes into the pot? ->I'm just looking for a no bells quality auto drip coffee maker, the Moccamaster KBGV seems to be highly regarded and has 5 year warranty, but read on Amazon (with photos) and youtube comments that the power switch breaks sooner than later, plate warmer came chipped, burning plastic smell, flimsy, not all the coffee gets wet as has small shower head, plastic water resivor cracking, and thin/flimsy. The OXO Brew 8 cup looks interesting, but people complaining of overflows and I'd rather not have a metal carafe, looks like they don't make a coffee maker with a glass carafe? I used to have a Bunn, but I'm not a fan of required manufactured coffee filters to prevent grounds in your coffee, and a tank of always on for the hot water. Not sure what to get?
r/BuyItForLife • Moccamaster or OXO coffee maker? ->I have a Bunn that I got as a wedding gift 17 years ago. It’s basically a smaller model of the ones that diners use. It’s got a reservoir where water is kept at the correct temp, and it’s gravity fed…so when you pour in more cold water and close the lid, the hot water immediately starts flowing out over your beans. Makes a full pot in just a few minutes. It’s not programmable or any of that, it’s just simple and reliable.
r/BuyItForLife • What is the Best Coffee Makers on the Market? ->I rinse my carafe and basket most days, maybe actually wash them once a week. I run vinegar through the machine once a year, tops. That’s about as low maintenance as it gets.
r/BuyItForLife • What is the Best Coffee Makers on the Market? ->No, I run vinegar through like once per year.
r/BuyItForLife • What is the Best Coffee Makers on the Market? ->It's a pure workhorse. I love my Bunn. Clean it occasionally and it should last a very long time!
r/BuyItForLife • What is the Best Coffee Makers on the Market? ->my parents have had they're bunn for over 15 years, I've had mine for 5, and we all absolutely love it. simple and reliable is right! after I'm done drinking coffee for the day I run a water cycle through it and it comes out sparkling clean. I give it a good scrub once a month but it doesnt seem to even need it.
r/BuyItForLife • What is the Best Coffee Makers on the Market? ->My cafe recommendation is also Bunn. They’re workhorses, they’re readily available, easy to get parts for, easy to work on, and easy to look up tutorials for. Their commercial site is [here](https://commercial.bunn.com/equipment/coffee). Turnaround time might be faster with Webstaurant - their Bunn selection is [here](https://www.webstaurantstore.com/vendor/bunn.html?gclid=CjwKCAjw5Ky1BhAgEiwA5jGuju6RCq-ZbEl088TcjKAlYA91QxXkgVMVElnusrNGp8w5lfOMbC6CUBoCoaYQAvD_BwE). Fetco is a close second, and Curtis is just fine.
