I got a Bunn commercial pour-over unit https://www.webstaurantstore.com/bunn-13300-0001-vp17-1-ss-stainless-steel-pourover-coffee-brewer-with-1-lower-warmer-120v/234133000001.html this thing really is Buy it for Life - though as shipped it has a plastic basket but you can order a metal one. Also it comes without a carafe - have to order that separate I also ordered a lower flow spray head to make the coffee a bit stronger Honestly, once I got the grind and amount of coffee dialed in and the restriction head on, its just been the perfect drip machine for me and mine...

Bunn VP-17. The last coffee maker you'll ever need to own.

You know what, I’m totally wrong. Well atleast for normal purchases. Looks like I just got lucky with an old one with a metal tank. Same as the Bunn VP17s, if you get an old enough one it’ll be all metal. Guess it’s doable but harder to find/confirm before throwing down a couple hundred

Unfortunately theyre now $400 (I paid $185 10 years ago) but I absolutely swear by the basic commercial grade BUNN-O-MATIC pour over. Infinitely serviceable, ll 1 2 cup capacity, and built like a tank. My issue with cheap Mr Coffee (or home grade BUNN) is that they never really get the water hot enough. Not true with a commercial pour over. And if you really want to be lazy you get get the pre measured bags of coffee like they use in convenience stores and restaurants.

This seems awfully fancy for “no frills”. We have a Bunn O Matic commercial that will outlive me. Only downside is that they are always on, so if you don’t put a timer on it you will use a lot of electricity. Upside is that you can even plumb in the fresh water supply if you like.

Bunn-O-Matic. They make great coffee and last a long time.
