For 2026, stick with reliable drip machines like the Cuisinart PerfecTemp or Mr. Coffee programmable models. They're easy to clean, consistent, and cheap to maintain 👌
We’ve been super happy for many years with the Cuisinart 14 cup coffeemaker.
Other than the Mochamaster that others have mentioned, I’ve had a Cuisinart programmable 14 cup drip coffee maker for 6 years so far with no issues. I plan on getting the Mochamaster next.
Cuisinart 14-cup coffee maker. It is simple and it gets the job done and makes a good pot of coffee. Had the Oxo 9-cup before but I don't know if it was an older model or what but the rain cap on it would fall off and eventually get thrown away on accident. It made good coffee as well, I just didn't like that it didn't have a carafe heater element so I eventually got rid of it. I recently got an Aeropress to make an espresso type drink and it works great. Haven't tried to make a cup of coffee in it yet.
This is what I do. My old machine was programmable though it was also a Cuisineart POS. I find pushing a switch takes zero effort if I grind and set up before bed.
Totally. I had to immediately do the thermos transfer or it was ruined. I still can’t believe how many counters I see it on! It didn’t last long in my house.
Got my programmable cuisinart as a hand-me-down from my FIL about 15 years ago.
We just replaced our programmable cuisinart coffee maker. It was our trusty machine for about 13 years before the tank cracked and it started leaking. They’re not cheap, over $200, but it grinds and brews, is sturdy, easy to clean, and all I have to buy for it is the beans.
I have been very pleased with my KitchenAid drip coffee maker the past two years. Just prior I tried Cuisinart, OXO, and Braun and was not happy with the coffee flavor and other features like size/configuration. The KA brew is very tasty imo and since it is programmable, I come downstairs every morning to the smell of a fresh pot. It has stainless trim and a sleek glass carafe so it looks nice on the counter as well.
