I don’t think this is for coffee nerds, it’s likely a stainless Mr. Coffee. It’s for the (huge) market intersection of normal coffee drinkers who have read an article on microplastics. Like my mom. My mom doesn’t know about temperature control
For 2026, stick with reliable drip machines like the Cuisinart PerfecTemp or Mr. Coffee programmable models. They're easy to clean, consistent, and cheap to maintain 👌
I used a Mr Coffee 12 cup for years and it broke on me the other day. I ended up buying a Ninja Dual Brew for $100. It’s awesome, I love it. You can make a full pot of coffee or you can use the single cup function (Keurig style). I bought a reusable k cup so I’m not wasting plastic and I can use my own fancy beans. I mostly make one cup at a time - it brews the coffee so fast and it’s so good! You can also just have it brew hot water for tea super fast.
Ditto Mr Coffee 12 cup is going strong 4yrs later
We have had the absolute cheapest Mr Coffee drip 12 cup pot for 7+ years. I keep saying I’m going to upgrade us to something fancier when it breaks, but it’s too simple to break!
Mr. Coffee 12 cup coffee maker at Walmart. $25. Simple electeic grinder. $15. Filters. $3. Buy whole bean coffee and grind when ready to make coffee. Explore different beans and roasts. Enjoy. I've done French press, pour over, espresso... Mr. Coffee wins for ease and gets used every day. If you have an Aldi nearby, Honduras whole bean organic coffee. Thank me later. It is my go-to.
A classic drip coffee maker like the Mr Coffee 12-Cup or Technivorm Moccamaster, both simple, one-button, no-frills, and make excellent black coffee that’ll last for years.
am I the only one with a 15 yr old $30 Mr Coffee ?? My parents have one thats now close to 30 yrs old.
it could the thing where it WAS made better, but now its garbage. its the 5 of 6 cup one i have and my parents have the 12??? idk its huge.
Mr. Coffee with an automatic drip... All Bloodhound Gang jokes aside, I got one before that song came out. I had a great cup out of it just now. The carafe broke back in the early 2000s due to my own gross negligence, and I got a replacement for the cost of shipping from them. After WW3 there's going to be cockroaches, twinkies, and these mr coffee tanks
Pour over or French press. If you want an electric drip machine, Mr. Coffee is no frill and lasts for eons. A moka pot is the answer for stronger espresso drinks.
