I had a Zojirushi drip maker for years that made a perfectly adequate cup every morning before work. The other ways were reserved for weekends. I can use the Moccamaster as a pure drip machine and get a really good cup of coffee. Or I can babysit a bit more like a Chemex and get a GREAT cup of coffee.
I bought a smaller one about 10 years back as an office coffeepot, and I’m glad I went secondhand and didn’t spend much ($20). It was fine for its purpose at the time—coffee when I was stuck at my desk—but I wouldn’t want one as my main coffee maker. At home, I used a Bonavita 8-cup that I picked up refurbished for $80, and it is still brewing like the day I bought it (I am a pour over person now, but we use the Bonavita when we have people over). You’re far better off hunting down a refurbished, quality option than wasting $90 on a Zutto.
