Flip isn't FPV, it won't connect to goggles. Mini 3 won't connect to goggles either. Even the Mini 3 Pro, if you could get it connected to goggles won't fly in Manual mode. The Neo is a bit underpowered for anything but cinematic flight and very light freestyle. The Avata 2 is a somewhat more rounded quad, but still mostly a cinematic quad. If you are wanting to fly freestyle, buy a controller (Radiomaster Boxer or Radiomaster Pocket) and start following along with Bardwell's "learn how to fly FPV series". Spend a month doing that and watching other Bardwell videos while you figure out what video system and kind of quad you want to fly. I'd suggest starting with something small like a BetaFPV Meteor 75.

The meteor75 was not my first quad, but I wish it was. Buy more batteries and a vifly LiHV charger - buy extra props and a few sets of screws too, the 50 pack may seem like overkill but I have gone through so many of the 1.4m canopy and motor screws already. I would also get a pack of the BT2.0 connectors just in case. that is the one problem with the meteor75, the pigtail is easy to catch in a prop and gets alot of use every time I have to swap batteries. I also went with 'genuine' machine EV800D goggles which have been great.

I really gotta make a copypasta for this… Drone: BetaFPV air65 or 75 or meteor65 or 75, depending on if you want to fly indoors or outdoors. Radio: anything from Radiomaster or Jumper with ELRS. Cheapest option is the Radiomaster Pocket or Pocket Crush. Make sure it has ELRS not cc2500 2 18650 batteries Goggles: eachine ev800d or Skyzone cobra x Batteries: BetaFPV lava or Tattu, with a bt2.0 connector. For 65mm, you want 300mah, for 75mm you want 450-550mah Charger: Vifly Whoopstor 3 Depending on various factors this should fit under $350 USD Ah and most importantly, a sim. Velocidrone with the freestyle addon, or Tryp. Get the controller and the sim first so you can get some practice in.

Yes, the air65 has a camera and video transmitter. Cheapest I’d go on the goggles is the eachine ev800d. A better (more expensive) choice would be the Skyzone cobra x Egh, I’ll just copypasta the full setup Drone: BetaFPV air65 or 75 or meteor65 or 75, depending on if you want to fly indoors or outdoors. Oh yeah digital is totally worth it. I have a ton of fun with my BetaFPV Meteor75 Walksnail. The video quality from the O4 Lite is even better.

I started on aquila16 about 2 months ago and harvested motors almost immediately, trash drone and batteries are useless. Just get a meteor 75 or 65, not the air unless you know your willing to solder. I started with 0 sim time and only have about 10 hours in, i also dont care if i break my drones flying them so i do break allot. Buildings half the fun for me
