I bought a Baby Ape II for a little over $100. Been flying it for a couple months and I love it 👍. Im using a Radiomaster Zorro transmitter and Fatshark Scout box goggles. Pretty sweet setup for my first “outdoor only” quad. Definitely recommend. I also agree with the sim, 100% get good on a sim such as Uncrashed before flying a bigger drone outside. It will save you lots of $$ in repairs and liability 😅. Good luck!! 👊
r/fpv • What is a good but cheap drone? ->I have the 6s as well, and I love it!! Super powerful in such a small package. I just busted a motor in a pretty good crash, so I have to order some and wait for them to come in… back to the SIM for now lol. 👊

Just upgraded my gimbals 2 days ago to the CNC aluminum ones, and love them (not in this pic). Crashed and repaired it a few times, but haven’t upgraded any parts yet other than the VTX antenna. I might look for a better camera soon, the one it came with is meh. Any recommendations 🤔
r/fpv • What is a good but cheap drone? ->Oh hell yeah! That’s a bad ass setup. Those motors look mean!! Im definitely gonna get a thumb cam for mine as well. I’m gonna look into the speedybee tx800 and Caddx Ratel too! Oh yeah, I miss my DX8 and T-Rex 500. Those cost a whole lot more to crash though 😮💨
r/fpv • What is a good but cheap drone? ->That’s really cool! The Baby Ape II I have is the 6s version. So I literally went from a Mobula7 1s, straight to 6s 😅 but I LOVE IT!! I feel a little bad mucking up OP’s thread with all this awesomeness, but is there any way for you to show me some flight footage you have from that bad boy? 😳
r/fpv • What is a good but cheap drone? ->Get a air65 first, then a mob8 or a babyape2 for the days there’s good weather, practice with the air65, then when you feel like you know you won’t crash, upgrade! Bam
r/fpv • Choosing between 5” 3.5” or a whoop ->If you don't want to build (for whatever reason. No judging but repairs keep this hobby manageable so learning to solder is 99% as important as learning to fly) then cheaper is probably better. Stick with analog. DarwinFPV has a range of budget quads that I personally have had really good luck with. I own the cineape25 and 35 and have had the babyape, tinyape and several of their random components. I doubt any of them would hold up to serious bando bashing but at the price point you'd be better off if you plan on replacing the whole drone after every crash anyways. Pinecil costs $40 tho. Just saying
r/fpv • Best company that sells ready to fly drones? ->That's what I started with. It's fast but will take a beating.
r/fpv • Is the Nazgul v3 analog a good starter drone? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
