"Now throw in the Atom 2’s advance AI capabilities, Night Mode (looks amazing, recently filmed a rocket launch at 10pm) and creative shooting modes (dolly zoom, slow motion, quick shots, panoramic, etc) it is amazing for the price."

"for now this 3 pro quality is better than any other video footage I take with camcorder, iphone pro max or Gopro."

"DJI has the ability to Brick all of your drones and any company that cooperates with the FAA would have the ability to just down all civilian drones at their behest"

"If you also follow the law then you really can't fly drones damn near anywhere. You can't fly them over crowds you can't fly them over roads you can't fly them in parks you can't fly them within a certain radius of an airport above a certain altitude."

"non professional stop using their drones because of annoying flight rrestriction zones, which are almost everywhere in some countries. ... people are reselling them because you cant use drone where u want :("

"Batteries age like milk and if not used frequently or if used very often start losing capacity. ... Also the thing is not getting made anymore so getting new batteries is straight up impossible."

Buy a mini or full-size 2/3 (used) that you don't care about crashing. First 250.00 300.00 If you're going to be doing any selfie type stuff you're going to need a pro because the non-pro models do not have follow and the other features like that. I should say, not as many features like that I would stick with getting drones that are roughly the same size so they have the same flight characteristics. That being said if you were more experienced I would love to have a small, medium, and large. small for fun portability, medium for just getting some pictures here and. large for really good cinematic stuff. When I'm talking size I mean both physical size and size of cost Fortunately DJI stuff is really easy to fly until it just flies away on you. Which has been known to happen. This is all based on the mavic mavic pro type drones I haven't bought a new drone in 5 years. So take it for what it's worth. That being said anything DJI has as far as drones you will be able to fly very easily with no problems. I would recommend it calibrating it every single time you take it out. At least until you get used to Flying it because if for some reason it's not calibrated and you don't know how to fly it you are never bringing that thing back. I'm curious if you buy one now and something happens to it will Best Buy still warranty it. Things like that I have questions about and then service in the future. I know they will still have support. But if you can't import DJI parts going to be hard to fix. Anyway I digress good luck enjoy

I've basically stopped using my Mavic and use my Mini 3 Pro for most things now. Wind resistance isn't quite as good, but image quality is more than good enough and being under 250 g makes flying a lot easier (in Canada, might be different where you are). Some people assume 'bigger is better'. I've seen that in photography, where my Nikon D800 with huge lens gets more respect than a smaller camera. (So sometimes I'll being the bigger camera for show, use it for a few pictures while mostly using a smaller camera, and let people assume that the best pictures were taken with the bigger camera when in reality all the pictures came from the smaller easier-to-carry camera.)

The Mavic Pro series has variable aperture. Otherwise you can use ND filters to lower the shutter speed if that's your goal.

What? I've owned a Mavic Pro and now a Flip. There is no difference in the build quality.

400 for first mavic pro is rather high, is it with fly more kit? I see a bit newer Air2 fly more for 400 in my area, and mavic pro with hard case but no kit for 250

This is same for most drones. My mavic pro died and camera/gimbal is useless now

Looking to buy a drone for filming skiing/snowmobiling. Used a mavic pro for a while and enjoyed it, but it was feeling dated and is large and cumbersome. It finally broke and I got the Skydio 2 when it came out and was great for ridge shots and mellow slower following. I think I’m ready to upgrade to something else and overwhelmed by options and opinions in which direction to go. I’m leaning towards the mini 5 pro because it’s compact/light, shoots in vertical platform for social media, and seems to be capable enough speed wise to keep the rider in the shot. I’ve had people suggest that I use the air3s because of its better resistance to wind and the telephoto lens (which I don’t think I’ll use much), but I’m hesitant because a lot of my filming will be backcountry where size/weight is one of the largest issues. Any thoughts? Some people are just saying to buy the mini pro 3 or 4 but with how hard it is to get dji products right now it’s not that much cheaper to get the 4. Thanks!

I don't care DJI burned me when I bought a Mavic Pro and then they dropped the app support and made it to where I couldn't fly my drone anymore.

I had the original DJI Mavic Pro since it was released, many many years. Just recently bought Mini 4 Pro from Facebook for a good price new unopened box. Get the one where the remote uses the phone. No need for Fly More Combo. My flight time on a wedding day to get all the aerial photos of the venue is about 10 minutes or less and the Mini 4 battery lasts over 30. Also don’t really need any lens filters for it unless you plan on doing pro cinematic video that requires lower shutter speeds or super slow shutter photography. If you are able to buy new in box, absolutely get DJI Care Refresh to cover your butt for WHEN you crash. Honestly the Mini 3 Pro uses the same image sensor if you can get your hands on it cheap.

The air2s is probably better than my OG Mavic Pro! I'm looking forward to this, it'll be a giant upgrade for me.
