Regardless, the build they have is actually great. They've taken the right steps, opting for BT3.0 lipos, going 2S, and having a great set of motors on their build. This thing will fly VERY well and from what I've seen, it's probably the best of the bind and flys at the moment. I've been building custom 2S 75mm quads on analogue, walksnail and now O4, and before that I was building 75mm and 75 Pro sized 1S walksnail rigs. 2S is nuts. [https://www.instagram.com/reel/DE0LFBStZgw/?utm\_source=ig\_web\_copy\_link](https://www.instagram.com/reel/DE0LFBStZgw/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link) This is a quick sample of an O4 2S 75mm quad that I built on Monday. And this video will show you the difference between a 1S and 2S walksnail quad: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vfBsSFwHN8&ab\_channel=Arx\_UK](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vfBsSFwHN8&ab_channel=Arx_UK) The 1S is basically the meteor75 pro HD, it uses the same motors (the 22000kv betafpv) and is the same spec except it was moved to a 75mm frame and some weight saving changes. The 2S is one of my first attempts at 2S, so I've refined it a lot since then (walksnail is now around 46g (inc bat)), but this one at just over 51g is probably comparable to most O4 2S builds at the moment. You should be able to see the difference in power, even though the 1S build in this video clearly needs some tuning. So with people recommending the 1S O4 quads from BetaFPV, you know what... I had a LOT of fun with the Meteor75 Pro walksnail when it first came out. I didn't have much experience at the time and it was great to fly around and do a few tricks on. If you opted to get this drone then you would have fun and you get the convenience of 1S bats and charging. But the 2S will fly significantly better.
r/fpv • Which DJI o4 tiny whoop should I consider as a beginner? ->Indoors and O3 don't really go together well. Any quad you buy with the O3 is going to be heavy to the point where you will start breaking things on impacts or put holes / marks on the walls. That being said, if you like slowly flying from room to room, it's very possible on a quad with an O3, but it's not really that enjoyable to do. You're going to want to pick up a 2S quad for the reason mentioned above (weight). You can get 75mm quads like the flylense75 or acrobee that will be about as small as you can get. The Mob8 is slightly larger but I believe is lighter (at least my custom build version is). 4S is a really bad idea unless the 4S packs you're using are 300-380mah in size, and even then indoors.... it's a bad idea. You said you haven't got space for a new drone, but honestly your best bet is to buy a small set of analogue Goggles, a 65mm tinywhoop, a whoopstor 3 charger and a couple of 1S 260-300mah lipos. It doesn't take up much room, but you can have fun with a 65mm analogue quad in a space the size of a double bed. Then you have to consider the noise. If you're travelling a lot, flying a heavy O3 build is going to annoy everyone around you, where as no one will even notice you're flying your little analogue tinywhoop in your hotel room (I've done it often with zero complaints).
r/fpv • Any suggestions for indoor drones with 03 air unit? ->I would def do 2s. 1s on 04 seems heavy and not good start for a beginner. Where are you ordering from? Why would you order the meteor from China?
r/fpv • Which DJI o4 tiny whoop should I consider as a beginner? ->Avata 2 is kinda trash if you can get a 5inch with a decent gopro or dji action - also much more powerful- easier to repair, cheaper, better :) Try starting with a small tinywhoop, like flylens75 o4 ;)
r/fpv • First drone - whoop with O4 lite? ->My recommendation if you are starting today, is definitely get the radio first, and practice on the sim. I have a preference for DJI, since it has great quality video and range. The higher Latvia still low enough that you won’t have a problem with it starting out. For your first drone then I’d recommend starting of small. Like a 2s+ whoop with o4 light. They are really fun and can be flown just about anywhere. I do love my 5’’ but it takes so much time to get somewhere I can actually fly, I don’t end up doing it as often as I’d like.
