if u have a part 107 or whatever license you need to do commercial flying in your country. First: a FIVE INCH FREESTYLE QUAD should NOT be used near people at all costs.(look at the end [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_VTxhSfiIA) botgrinder video showing what a 5 inch quad does to a ballistic dummy head). I recommend a cinewhoop, which are designed for flying indoors with people, are smaller, and have prop guards. Look at the cinebot 30 by geprc (though you will probably need a gopro 10 bones, 11 mini, or use a o3, as it probably won't do well with a full size gopro hero 12.) The cinebot 35 can carry a full size gopro, and it will still be able to fly, albeit not that fast, and it's motors will be SCREAMING, though at a DJ venue you probably couldn't hear a gunshot in the first place.

most cinewhoops frames have the vtx mounted on the bottom, btw, so the distance might be longer but caddx sells them in different lengths [here](https://caddxfpv.com/products/walksnail-avatar-5-5cm-9cm-14cm-20cm-coaxial-cable?variant=39936739508323). Also for cinewhoop frames, i would recommend a certain type of frame. Basically, i don't know what they're called, but cinewhoop frames usually fall under 3 types. Type 1, the one i recommend, is the same style as a speedybee bee35/ geprc cinebot 30/ darwin fpv cineape35, and the axisflying cineon35, though the cineon's prop guards are slightly different shaped, and have supports inbetween them. But the category generally looks like this: https://preview.redd.it/js4a56ip87ke1.png?width=500&format=png&auto=webp&s=c0e930c949a81da9ffbc752c27c711a851079982 Then there is type 2, in second place imo. The only one i know off the bat that looks like it is the geprc cinelog 35. Basically it isn't as light as the type 1 style, but it is a lot more durable. *VERY* durable.(a cool thing about large cinewhoops, especially the cinelog 35, but you can do it with most cinewhoops, is that you can bounce of the ground using your prop guards, and keep flying!). But the cinelog 35 has durable material prop guards that almost fully surround the props. Then there is the worst, type 3, the Squirt style frame, which has biiiig plastic prop guards that make it *very* heavy, and increase the drag by a lot. They are built like a brick though, and slightly more durable than the type 2 style ones, but for the drag and weight it doesn't pay off. Another one in this category is the iflight bumblebee, which also weighs a lot and has a lot of drag, but is built even more like a brick.

any 4s 3 inch *could* carry a osmo action 5, but it would barely fly, so if you wanted to actually be able to fly, you could get and 6s 3 inch, and it would be able to manuver a decent amount. But if you want something bigger, like for acro movements, you could get what everybody gets, a 5 inch freestyle quad. The specific drone doesn't really matter for the question your asking, but i'd recommend a geprc cinebot 30/cinelog 35 for a 6s 3 inch, or a custom built 3 inch toothpick. for a 5 inch freestyle quad, really any decent bnf, but the most popular are the geprc mark 5 or an iflight nazgul.

2 months later? Really("Just in time username really shows, i'm conveniently online rn")? Anyways if for mostly cinematic flight, you can get a 3" cinewhoop like the cinebot 30, but it should be 6s, so that it still has some punch to it when carrying that full size osmo action. You could also get a 3.5 inch cinewhoop, if you want something bigger, but that's a lot more unwieldy indoors, as the biggest you can realistically fly indoors is a 3", and with that big action cam, it would be even louder than normal, though the weight would help hold it down and stop you from accidentally crashing into a wall full throttle.

Get a GEPRC CINEBOT30, with ELRS and DJI O3. Best all around drone.

Good choice on the Boxer. I have it, the TX16S, and the Pocket and the Boxer is my primary choice for flying quads. Can’t speak for the Cinelog, but my 6S Cinebot30 flies happily outside. I haven’t taken it up in any big winds, but it’s a good time.

I get about 8 - 9 minute flights on the Cinebot30 with a 6s 1100mah Battery. It's not a freestyle machine but for my skill level it's plenty of power and freestyle capability, plus good durability so far as I learn to push and crash often

r/fpv • Which drone can you recommend for freestyle flying that gives you a flight time of at least 8-12 minutes? I don't understand why DJI drones last 15 minutes and others only last 5 ->

These people are all nuts. You keep saying cinematography and they keep suggesting freestyle drones. Maybe I missed something? Try a Cinebot30 for power/performance/quality. I would suggest using an 03 or moonlight and not ever getting a GoPro, because the image quality is not that much better to justify the cost, unless you are selling your content for money. Go digital to start and you'll save a lot of time and money.

a cinewhoop in general is going to struggle with high angle dives in my exp and typically will want to yaw just something to keep in mind. Main reason I sold my cinebot30 but it was a great first drone as it could do 95% of what I wanted it to do.

GEPRC makes pretty good cine whoops. I have two of them and they work great.

A 2.5" would be probably be the smallest that could carry a naked GoPro well. The GEPRC line of cinewhoops are generally considered good choices.

I mostly build my own but when I want a solid BNF cinewhoop I go with GEPRC. Very good frame designs, build quality, and value.
