"If you look at it in sections it's no that hard to diagnose and do small repairs yourself if they for some reason should break. ... Don't be afraid of taking them apart, there's many repair guides available and most robots look 90% the same inside for the features they have. ... From what i can tell, the roborock robots today have nearly identical vacuuming fan as the old S5 ... Roborock... might be the easier ones to get second hand parts for as they're the most popular and share many parts. ... Yes, they are "easy" to repair, but it takes a little time. You will have small screws, ribbon cables and boards just like any other computer. Imagine it like Lego, have patience and don't rush it, and if you loose a screw or ten it probably doesn't matter as they are overengineered for the factory line."
"The S5 can be held alive forever with cheap original parts from AliExpress."
"I got more than my money’s worth out of the old Roborock S5’s. ... Spare parts were readily available, a big community, YouTube videos showing how to fix things…"

"I've used the X-Mid 1 for 4 years, 2000+ miles."
"We got really strong gusts that hit the camp, and the local brand poles snapped straight off, while the Durston stood firm. I was really impressed."
"We haven't seen an X-Dome 1+ break when it is assembled properly. ... With proper assembly, the tent is working very well. ... we've seen lots of reports of it handling verified 30-50 mph winds."

"Mobula 8 is more than enough for me to learn. ... I wouldn't fly anything heavier and more powerful at the beginning for my own and others safety."
"my first scooter I got like 2 yrs ago was a Hiboy s2 it’s not bad ... I think for a first scooter you can find a good one for under 400 that’ll do what you need it to"
"Go for a 2S tiny whoop like a Mobula 8, do it now!"

"why would a newbie start on 2s? ... Its a pita to charge when you can get a air75 and whoopstor and fly constantly."
"not really good for beginners"
Just to counterbalance as I see mostly DJI choices, for you to know you have FPV oriented drones as well (Mobula 8, Baby Ape, Nazgul, etc). They are harder to fly but allow you to do any kind of movements/tricks you want. Like that: https://youtu.be/is9uEJCqhVo?si=6P_e1mjZ7q6UOFFE. DJI is great if you want to make nice videos in an assisted way and dont want to spend time learning to fly. Both are good choices, it is personal.
r/Multicopter • What is the Best Beginner Drone worth buying today? ->Radiomaster, simulator, learn about charging lipo batteries, and then a tiny whoop plus a battery charger and batteries of course. Go for a 2S tiny whoop like a Mobula 8, do it now!
r/fpv • Is this a good plan to get into FPV? ->Mob 8 may work, I have a naked 03 on my mob 8 and it flies well inside. Props out of view with 20°+
r/fpv • Which drone for a nightclub? ->I thought this, o4 better than naked GoPro? Current arsenal is a mobula8 and a Nazgûl (defo not suitable 😂)
r/fpv • Which drone for a nightclub? ->I recently started flying, and Mobula 8 is more than enough for me to learn. It can go very fast, quite high and it's super agile. I wouldn't fly anything heavier and more powerful at the beginning for my own and others safety. Also analog is great choice at the beginning. I got walksnail hd mob8, and it flies great until you crash it and you need to get a vtx module that's same price as analog mob8.
r/fpv • Is the Nazgul v3 analog a good starter drone? ->I bought a mobula 8 for outdoor flying and I'm having a lot of fun
r/TinyWhoop • What is the best drone for beginners in YOUR opinion? ->Still waiting for my O4 unit but I got today my 85mm Mobula8 and it is definitely fun making flips in the living room.
r/fpv • Choosing between 5” 3.5” or a whoop ->You are going to have trouble flying anything without protected props inside. Even a tiny air75 is a lot for inside without a lot of practice. I would build a nice 3inch for outside and get a tiny 66mm whoop for inside. Trust me, I csn fly knsude, flips, rolls racing etc. But just moving up to a 75mm will send me into the walls. A 75 or 85 mm would also work outside. 85mm like a mobula8 is 2inch protected props.
r/fpv • 2.5 inch or 3 inch drone? ->No mob8 is fragile and why would a newbie start on 2s? Its a pita to charge when you can get a air75 and whoopstor and fly constantly. I have 2 mob8s too but not really good for beginners
r/TinyWhoop • What is the best drone for beginners in YOUR opinion? ->I've built a 2S 75mm o4 lite this weak... Would never do this again. It's too much weight concentrated. It flies like a potato with props. Or it falls like one i should better say Would't go digital smaller that 2". So better mob 8 than 7 But the Mobula 8 frame breaks easy. Hglrc Petrel85 is the same sturdy material as mobula 7
