My dad has the same grinder and i attempted to make espresso with it, it can't go fine enough for espresso, maybe for a turbo shot though

I bought this from CC Cuisinart Supreme Grind Automatic Burr Mill and you check their [coffee grinder](https://www.canadacomputers.com/en/1750/coffee-grinders) collections

I actually had this grinder for drip then started to get into espresso. There was a way that I was able to remove the hopper and modify it so that I could adjusted farther than intended. I was able to get enough adjustment out of it that it would grind fine enough for a pretty good shot. The main issue was, it was very hard to dial in. A very minor adjustment would result in a fairly drastic change in grind size. With the modification, you can get by temporarily. YMMV

I’m sure there are some fines in there too. Your grinder is creating particles all over the place in terms of size. This grinder is probably better suited for drip, not that it won’t make a muddy cup though.

I have the Cuisinart Supreme Grind Automatic Burr grinder. MSRP $60, on Amazon for $50 now. Grinds coarsely enough for my cold brew, and finely enough for her regular hot coffee machine. My lovely husband got me a Cuisinart automatic burr and grind machine almost 5 years ago, for my first Mother’s Day, and the grinder has just given up the ghost - just in time for Daylight Saving Time to end 😅. I drink a couple of cups of strong dark roast every morning, and also love the occasional latte or cappuccino when out, but would definitely drink them more often if I had a setup at home. My husband has offered to get me a new machine for my birthday/Christmas, and we are wondering if there’s a highly rated machine under $700 that can do all the things I want- built in grinder, good quality drip coffee, and so lattes and cappuccinos. I don’t like the pods because of all the trash they produce, but I am aware there are recyclable versions. Any suggestions? He was looking at a Ninja but the coffee expert video we watched on YouTube gave it a poor review for the drip coffee quality. Do I need to suck it up and make room for two machines on my kitchen counter?

I think your next task is to tally up how much money you’re saving by making cups of coffee at home versus buying them at cafes. When you’ve “saved” enough, look into upgrading your grinder. (it happens to be featured in this article: [https://prima-coffee.com/blog/burr-grinder-basics/](https://prima-coffee.com/blog/burr-grinder-basics/) )
