I have an ecm synchronika ii and a eureka libra ap. I love the setup. Buy both, land in the middle of that budget and be done forever.
I just got my Eureka Mignon Libra 65 AP a week ago, and I love it. I make several back-to-back double shots every morning, and the weighing of beans for every shot started to get annoying. I started weighing out 4 shots of beans at once into separate containers, which helped, but I felt the retention and mess of my DF64V was ruining the experience. Dosing and cleanup with the Eureka is so much more enjoyable. I use a whole bag of beans in a week, so not too concerned about them getting stale. Sometimes I just put in a half-bag at a time, still better than before.
I have a mignon libra 65ap, and it typically weighs +- .1g to target. Good enough that I only spot check it just for fun. I like it, and the GBW feature is fun every time I use it.... and it fit in the space I had. Others I was looking at were too tall...
Also Libra owner and very happy! I got the 65 All purpose and it’s a decent grinder. Don’t miss anything.
I dunno, I think I'd be more comfortable with the Eureka Mignon Libra 65, which also has gbw, is a proven platform, and isn't that much more expensive and comes with 2 years warranty in the EU.
Eureka Libra AP 65. AP stands for All purpose. I love it for all my coffee needs.
Eureka Libra Mignon AP65. I love the fluffy grounds, the relatively quiet process, and the grind-by-weight workflow. Grind, tamp, and pull the shot. It’s so efficient and clean. I originally got a Specialita but the nicer hopper, the king sized dial, and the GBW made the upgrade well worth it. Cost ~$850. I keep 2 or 3 days worth of beans in the hopper and freeze the rest of the bag till I need a refill.
I second the Eureka Libra. For home-use it does really good, consistent servings.
Lots to chose from. Recommend Eureka - especially the grind by weight option - Libra
I have the Libra and it’s accurate within .1g. Reliable so far and easy to use!
Eureka XL, Eureka Libra, and Weber Key M1 are the 3 grinders on my bar now and it’s what I found on the secondary market for good deals. If you are patient you can find some killer deals. I won’t say how much I spent on each one but I’ll say that I usually don’t buy a grinder unless I can get it for 50~% off. This way if I decide down the line to sell it I can usually easily recoup my money and pass on the deal to someone else. I have had a bunch of other grinders on my bar over the last few years but they come and go depending on what I can find. I’ll likely swap out one of my Eureka grinders in the near future Iv seen a lot of grinder go up for sale in my area and the two Eureka grinders are to similar in taste. For now the XL serves as my daily, the Libra as my decaf, and the Key is mostly used when I try out some new beans. But I also really like to brew my daily beans with it but it requires more time and energy to deal with vs the 6-7 seconds from the XL.
