In my opinion, your best options are: * Turin SK40 - $200 (I own and use an older version of this daily, and it's been going strong for 2 years) * Mii Coffe D40+ -200 * Truin DF54 - $250 * Turin DF64 Gen 2 - $400 * Niche Zero - $650 Some things to note: * The DF54 is a miniature version of the DF64. * The DF54 and DF64 are flat burrs. * Both DF54 and DF64 are probably the most popular "budget" options * The D40+ and SK40 are the same machine with different grind adjustment methods. If you only drink espresso, I recommend the SK40 for the smaller adjustments. If you drink both espresso and drip/pour over then get the D40+ * The SK40, D40+, and Niche are conical burrs. * The Niche is probably the best-built and most reliable of this list. (I've personally seen it used in commercial settings/cafes) Finally, don't over think the flat vs cone debate. If you're just beginning your espresso journey, chances are that your palate has not been developed/trained enough to notice those minute differences.
r/espresso • Best grinder (under $300) ->I purchased a MiiCoffee D40+ on Amazon in July to go with my Breville beginner set up. It was $199 and it’s worked great for me!
r/espresso • What’s a good coffee grinder [$200] around that range ->I have four but in different countries. I have Craig Lyn HG-1, Ascaso I-Steel, Miicoffee D40+, Kingrinder P1. I love them all!.
r/espresso • Do you own more than one coffee grinder? [$1000] ->When I got into coffee making I came across this. Mii offee d40+ it's probably called something different in the US. No frills all metal burr grinder. It's single dose meaning there is no hopper. You need to weight the coffee you'll put in first then grind it.
r/BuyItForLife • Coffee Grinder - Simple , set it once and forget it ->I got the MiiCoffee D40+ in yesterday, so I’m still dialing in for my beans, but it’s light years better than my cheap hand grinder. Totally different taste to my beans in the same machine. Oh and it’s $200 on Amazon.
r/espresso • Best electric grinder [$200] or less? ->Isn’t the MiiCoffee D40+ the same grinder? That’s what I got from US Amazon. I got it over the DF54, but only cause the DF54 wasn’t in stock when I ordered and I didn’t want to wait. Been really enjoying my D40+, but one thing I think is probably similar in all cheaper grinders is the lack of real adjustments. Like it’s got 0-8 with all the ticks in between, but I can only really grind espresso around 1-2. Pour over I assume I’d operate in 6-8; so what are the other numbers even for? 🤔
r/espresso • What grinder do you use, why, and how much did it cost? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
