Loved it but got the Edge63 for fun. Isn't much better than the E55 the E55 was that good
r/espresso • [WANTED] Looking for opinions on Starseeker E55 and Starseeker Edge grinders [300$] ->For what you're wanting and your price range, I'd get something like the Starseeker Edge 63/Edge Plus. They're nice, big conical burr grinders. Ignore the regurgitated comments recommending flat burr grinders like the DF64/54. Of course, some flat burrs can do a good enough job with traditional espresso. But, they're not optimized for that.
r/espresso • Espresso grinder recommendations [$400 or less] ->My initial reaction to using a new Starseeker Edge single dose grinder this morning is very positive. Starting at the most clockwise setting/position/tightest position and turning counter clockwise 360° and further to 6 on the dial made for a beautiful grind and not many fines if at all! I use a paper filter in my moka pot but I can go finer next time. Also, no retention. Measured 18.9 beans and got the same output.
