I’m pretty sure a good amount of people will say to put Apollo way lower, even with their newer models. Unagi is too high. I’m not even gonna lie, Unagi is just too high for my personal opinion. I have heard and seen nothing but sheer disappointment from Unagi. The only thing I like about them is that they do have some universal scooter info on their website and they allow people to test scooters first to see how they like them. Kaabo being in the same category as Varla and Gotrax surprises me… either my scooters and Gotrax scooters are better than I thought (I did put 2,045 miles on a Pegasus though, still no issues, 1,000 with V2 and still clear there), or Kaabo isn’t as great as I thought.

If that’s the case, the Pro is around the same price (actually more) than the base Nami Burn E-2 or Inmotion RS Lite with a bunch less performance. With that factor, someone may be looking at battery specs and company history more than the scooter alone. Their unique regen is the one thing people give them props of, but as someone who doesn’t like regen at all… it isn’t that big of a green flag for me personally. I’d likely keep em at a C or maybe even lower.

The local scooter shop that sponsors me gets Kaabos every week for frame integrity issues. One even snapped right in half. I see a lot of Unagis on my campus here in BC Canada and people say they are alright, but the lack of suspension is an issue.

Those UL certified scooters are a significant leap in quality compared to the rest of their lineup and I haven't had any issues with the Go now in over 500KM of riding. The pure electric braking combined with the incredibly strong frame is great / issue free so far. Focused solely on their newer releases, Apollo to me is an A-tier, upcoming S-tier brand, especially when factoring in their local support / physical locations. I admire that they produce their own designs now that are UL certified rather than copying the latest chinesium from Aliexpress like most of the smaller brands. I also own a Ninebot Max, a Ninebot Max G2, and an Apollo City Pro 2022. I prefer the Apollo Go in almost every way compared to the G2; it feels substantially better made. GOAT scooter still though is the Ninebot Max. Its just so fucking well designed and rock solidly built due to how simple it is. Perfect last mile commuter, but not really a 'going on a ride for fun' scooter.
