I will say after riding my Max G2 and my Apollo City Pro 2024, plus a whole bunch of no-namers at Electrify Expo....Smooth throttle acceleration AND physical throttle response is #1 on my list. the Max G2 can be depressed 50% before I even get a response. And the response is super jerky, with or without boost mode mode on. I cant hold a speed for anything. its on or off. My current recommendation is SPEND the extra money for Apollo City Pro because.... Regen Braking - its a requirement for me. dual motor - I can keep up with anyone else and cars on the road. dual motor - I can climb any hill at 20mph dual motor - I can accelerate in a way that makes it fun build - solid as a rock reliability - YES, zero issues, over a thousand miles of riding. price - great hand placement - much more stable that the G2. deck space - great weight - 68 or so pounds. this may be a dealbreaker to some skyscraper commuters that don't park in the garage, but to me its the max I want to put in and out of the car. Bad - steering damper. it pulls into turns and I HATE that. but its literally the one thing I have to sacrifice (plus not seeing what the charge percent is) for all the rest. Bad - my wife and girlfriend both prefer the easy golf cart simplicity size, weight, agility of the max G2. They can ride with me on most rides, but they don't have parity when we are travel touring. I always have to slow down for them. 21mph vs. 31mph Ultimately - regen braking and smooth acceleration are dealbreakers for most other scoots.

I loved my Apollo Pro, it was way more stable and safer feeling to ride than my new Hiboy S2. Excellent lighting and braking, usually cruising at 45mph. Soon I’ll be replacing it with the Apollo Phantom Stellar.

How much do you weigh? That will be a big factor as well. However, I would go with something that is dual motor, which would be the Apollos. I live in Seoul and the city is full of hills. I got a decent dual motor scooter here locally and it handles most hills like a champ. I ride it in single motor mode majority of the time and only engage dual motor when I need to.
