Good value/budget starter scooter, but poor quality. Only buy if you're comfortable learning how to work on the scooter yourself. I have a GT06-Plus and it had back-to-back mechanical issues over the first 3 months, but has been holding up alright after doing several repairs. Changing the tire was brutal because they used too much loctite, or possibly used red permanent loctite instead of the blue temporary loctite. I tried a heatgun, a torch, and leveraging a breaker bar but it wouldn't budge. I could only remove the lug nuts holding the wheel on using an impact driver that was powerful enough to either break the adhesive or snap the axle. I got lucky and the adhesive finally let go, but that amount of force shouldn't have been needed to change a wear and tear part like a tire. The brake rotors are also stuck on with loctite on and 2 bolts are stripped and stuck on the rear wheel, which will be a new problem whenever those need to be replaced eventually. The charger also shorted out, and sparked twice and then died when I plugged it in to charge. It seemed to happen at random or without an obvious causation, and it happened within maybe a month or 2 of owning it. I replaced it with a better quality fast charger, and it's been working great since then but I had to wait 2 weeks of oversea shipping because they used a non-standard charging port so I had to order a very specific charger. I also had a bracket break that was a part of the front suspension, causing the front wheel assembly to fall off. https://www.reddit.com/r/ElectricScooters/comments/1lrvetu/rip_scooter_the_front_fell_off_what_are_my/ I didn't get hurt, luckily, but it appears to be made out of cheap porous metal. Maybe these issues aren't present in the GT08 or have since been resolved, but just letting you know what level of quality to expect. This was actually a relatively simple repair, using a hardened steel bolt and some hardware I got from a local hardware store. At the same time, it posed a significant safety risk when the front wheel basically fell off and sent me over the handlebars. It's worth mentioning that my use-case isn't typical because I was using it to deliver for ubereats/doordash. As such, I'm pretty rough on the scooter, and have rode up to 300 miles a week on rough roads. A sport/leisure rider or even a commuter would probably put less stress on the scooter, and it might not fall apart so fast. I don't regret it, because I didn't have much to spend when I bought it and compared to other scooters at that price point it had a big battery, decent speed, tubeless tires, and a spring suspension. I just don't often recommend it to others due to the quality issues. If you aren't depending on it's reliability and are comfortable turning a wrench, maybe it's a good place to start. If not, maybe try to save some more or see if you qualify for a payment plan on a more expensive and reputable scooter.
