Listen. You can get this scooter for about 700 , I have one myself and it's amazing, it goes 50 mph, 5600W 60V, yeah its a bit overkill for a 12 year old but yk id your gonna spend that much why not make it worth it, these other guys are just giving you bad scooters with the fancy name which is what makes them expensive, this one your actually getting what you pay for. Yes it is aliexpress but its not the site thats sketchy, its the sellers that are sketchy. This seller is the official one who I bought from, so it is legit. https://a.aliexpress.com/_mPBxloH
Your expectations don't match reality. Nothing that can go 30-40 mph will be that cheap. Nothing Reliable anyway. Also expect range to be about 50% of max advertised range if your going above 15mph or weigh more than 125lbs. Closest ting is the arbiwon gt08. Look at posts in the subreddit for pros and cons.
That one’s pretty legitimate and it’s a pretty decent value. Although typically I think shipping might be kind of slow and the price does fluctuate with the shipping. But it’s the best way to get a decent speed at a fairly affordable price. Only tag is that most people recommend to basically check over every bolt because the quality control is not the greatest or trustworthy. Although I cannot get too much since that’s almost the case for every scooter you buy on AliExpress or Alibaba.
I started with a $200 e-scooter, graduated to a $400 mini e-bike, and then went to a GT 08. So there was like a progression. I thought that worked well in terms of building up some expertise.
Whatever I'm riding so long as it's not breaking. Also GT-08 for the win!
GT 08 for around $600 or less from AliExpress. I just did 25 mi on it yesterday
I'm telling you you've got to make the switch and get a full-on dual C-type suspension dual motor one. Yes they start the cheapest one you can get is about $1,000 delivered but go on Facebook marketplace look around here. You can always find good deals. My first, and I call them the full size e-scooters, I had traded my Trek mountain bike for a Varla Eagle One. That's hat did it for me. Then I found a Arbiwon GT08 on FB with only 7 mi les on it for $400, that a lot of people like to talk crap about how cheap it is, but that's people who haven't ever driven one that thing halls but with 5,600 dual suspension has a regenerative brakes has the horn turn signals brake lights hydraulic brakes, regenerative braking. Then most recently I found, what I think is the best scooter for the money, the Zondoo Gobee Z001pro for $500 on FB as well. Now that scooter new runs anywhere from $1,600 $2,000. But honestly that one comes with everything you can think of with 6,000 watts of power and optional seat you can screw in or take off comes with the adjustable steering dampener already on a|~€~`~~~~ built in. And just the acceleration and smoothness and how rugged it's built the 10-in fat tires. Put it this way I went and test drove the roadrunner RX7 I think mine rides almost just as well and as fast. Now the RX7 I think has a top speed into the '60s because it's a 72 volt. My andz001 pro tops out at 58 mph
Is it needed? No. Don't let it stop u from getting it tho. It's very powerful and can give u a bit of a scare if ur not used to the dual motor power on it. Steering damper is a must. I will say it's a solid alternative to driving as u can easily be chilling getting to work avoiding traffic and if u need a bit of a boost that dual motor kick is solid. I say go for it but be prepared to do alot of hands on maintenance as from what I've heard alot of places won't work on the scooter. I'm the type to watch videos and use Chatgpt to figure out any issues. But I say go for it. Remember to use the code to get $120 off and make sure it's from aliexpress as that's the cheapest place to get it!
Totally agree with this. I had a lower watt scooter before and once it hit 20–25mph it felt unstable as hell. That’s basically why I upgraded to the Arwibon 5600W the dual motor setup makes a huge difference in how secure it feels.
