I just got the ausom f1 max. To me the throttle is numb until it just goes max speed, regulating it is difficult. And the brakes very much need adjusting out the box and even bleeding Otherwise it has been fine. It’s fast, suspension is great, and stable at the highest speed I’ve taken it which is ~30
I originally got a l2 dual max, but it was doa, and in my looking for a replacement since I had to bump my budget to 1300 to get something comparable to the l2 dual max, I said eff it and got the f1 max. I wrote a review a week or so ago about it. If I went back, I would have just got an l2 dual max again and saved the money. But the f1 max gets me up the hills around me with no issues at all in dual motor sport mode and I’m 250lbs + a backpack.
Just ordered the ausom f1 max, Lois like it’s basically the vsett10+ for 30% less. Dual 1400w motors, hydraulic brakes, good deck size, quad suspension. Tubeless tires, etc… I’ll let you know how it is when I get it
This thing moves me everywhere lol so much power, suspension is great
Ausom f1 max here I’m 240 and this thing boogies up hills and everything with me and a backpack
I second this. Got my duel motor a couple weeks ago and its been great.
Ausom dual motor, love mine. 40mph https://preview.redd.it/zg0bszlj8p4g1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=802748457ccb705283a4d92bc0835d419b91166c
I have a roadrunner and an Ausom. I've had go Trax, I've had a parts bin scooter. Roadrunner is designed in the US and the build quality is superior to any scooter I've had so far. The Ausom is a great scooter. It was $1000 less than the roadrunner and it gets the job done..I have 1200 miles on the roadrunner and I park it for the winter.
I got one...it's a nice mid level scooter. Especially for the price.
That's exactly my point. This ausom scooter on a level surface, warm weather, not too windy, and with a moderate rider weight will reach speeds where you'd generally want a steering damper to avoid subtle or catastrophic steering wobbles. But if you stay around 37mph or lower you should be totally safe, with both hands on the bars. I generally see base tier as up to about 20mph, mid tier up to 50mph, and top tier up to or over 70mph, And while faster scooters generally come with more stable construction quality, like weight distribution, suspension, adequate handlebar width, and steering dampers, mid tier is basically the most a normal person would ask for, and so as such your scooter choice is phenomenal and I commend you for it, Because most scooter crashes actually happen on base tier models, and lots of folks posting on here post their gripes about their base tier models, while others never see the need to excel past base tier. Mid tier is super ideal. Good purchase, buddy.
Ausom's pretty big. Borderline not portable for anyone who actually needs to go into shops with it. L2 Single motor goes 30, but I don't feel the speed so much as I'm conscious of it as a data point when on roads. More of a cruiser than a nippy ride.
I too have a climber as my daily driver scoot. I Picked up an EUC, an Aero, mostly because it's significantly smaller while going the same speed and more, once you become confident enough at handling the fact that you only have one wheel and are reliant on your balance. It'll rip up hills before wind pressure and inclines force me to accelerate slower at 26 MPH, but before that it GOES. It satisfies the "Go faster" itch by virtue of feeling faster and getting more adrenaline going because of the inherent risk involved, it fits in a gym locker, and you can sit on it while it self balances when you go out and have to stop for pedestrian crossings, or are just sitting in line. You probably won't even enjoy going 30 on a scooter, TBH. Used to have an Ausom that could, and it felt more sterile than the climber without the fun factor.
There are much better specced scooters for the money, only reason they sell any is because ESG shills for them. If youre on a budget go for an Ausom scooter, they have the best price to performance/features, they sell a scooter for 600 that will hit 28mph. If you want something high performance get a teverun, the blade gt2 is fantastic, I have 4k miles on mine.
I have the Ausom version of this scooter and it RIPS.
That's not a key factor, as Ausom is a good starter scoot that uses the same setup and doesn't have steering issues. There's actually a few brands that use that exact folding stem setup.
Ausom fudges their numbers more than most. Teverun for example is very close to reality. Really depends on brand, but take the specs from the scooter and run it through a calculator, probably more accurate than the average manufacturer claim
