Check out the [Ausom L1](https://ausomstore.com/products/ausom-l1-electric-scooter) scooter. It’s $600 tho. I think his feet would appreciate the deck + the kickplate he can rest his rear foot on.
Ausom L1. Can easily do that. 400 miles on mine and haven't had any issues.
You wont get great range for that budget, maybe 20 miles at 20mph. Take any range number and cut it in half if you want it to be accurate. My $2400 scooter gets 45 at best. Ausom makes great scooters for people on a budget, the l1 is nearly as good as my vsett 9+, but its nearly half the price.
Ausom scooters are perfectly fine to go those speeds, they use a bigger full size frame, even their cheapest scooter has 10in tires which makes a massive difference over 8 or 9in tires.
$1500 for a single motor, 31mph scooter is joke. My $600 ausom l1 does 28, for $100 more you can get a dual motor that does 50+, even if OP never uses the top speeds its still worth having dual motors. And 9.5s seconds to hit 30? Lmao, my scooter does that in less than 2.
1000 bucks for 28mph? Yikes. I bought an ausom l1 for 600 that does 28
Ausom makes pretty great scooters, I would go with them. I bought one of their basic models for my gf to ride, and its been fantastic. Cost about half what my vsett did, and is nearly the same performance. I got a coupon code from them if you want to use it to save a bit.
Build is pretty standard, not anything out of the ordinary, but not poorly designed, and no weak points. The use a larger frame for an 11in tire scooter, with 10in tires and wheels, instead of making a smaller and weaker frame with 9in tires like many companies do. It also came standard with the nice screen and improved throttle that I had to pay for separately with my $1200 vsett. I cant really tell you about the battery, because it doesnt get ridden often like my main PEVs, its just a weekend cruiser for my GF if she wants to ride with me. It hasn't had any issues or noticeable degradation in the last 6 months
Every scooter has mech brakes, the disks brakes on the ausom are well made, and do their jobs. Some scooters have drum brakes which need less adjustment, but to be honest, those scooters are death traps, and you cant have a dual motor if there's a drum in one wheel. There is no avoiding this, unless you want to buy an electric unicycle, those only use regen to stop. Its small enought to fit in any car trunk, even my larger teverun has fit in every car I have tried. As far as the weight, its manageable, I can deal with my 90lb scooter up a few flights of stairs. You would usually only carry it up stairs or lift it once to put it in a car.
No experience with their support, havent had any issues. I think the apps are worse than useless, all the functionality should be baked into the menus for the scooter. Only thing I use the app for on my teverun is adjusting the LED lights, no way to do that with buttons.
There are much better specced scooters for the money, only reason they sell any is because ESG shills for them. If youre on a budget go for an Ausom scooter, they have the best price to performance/features, they sell a scooter for 600 that will hit 28mph. If you want something high performance get a teverun, the blade gt2 is fantastic, I have 4k miles on mine.
Yes, it's very good too, it's the equivalent of the Kukirin G2
It's comfortable, inexpensive, has more than enough performance, is easy to maintain and repair, fits easily in a car trunk, and you can easily take the bus or train with the Ausom L1. In my opinion, it has the perfect weight.
I have a cousin who owns it, so I was able to try it myself and I loved it.
If you want other opinions, you can check YouTube; most people will tell you it's good. Its competitor is the Kukirin G2; they're identical, but the Ausom is more durable (the G2 is fragile at the stem; the slightest sudden jump can damage it). It's a shame because I really like it.
€500 for the Ausom L1 in France
Ausom L1. Can't beat it literally for the money
Depends on what you need Fast and economic I recommend the kukirin g2 or the ausom l1 around 500 dollars They got around 45 kmh and have a range of 40 km
