I have a roadrunner and an Ausom. I've had go Trax, I've had a parts bin scooter. Roadrunner is designed in the US and the build quality is superior to any scooter I've had so far. The Ausom is a great scooter. It was $1000 less than the roadrunner and it gets the job done..I have 1200 miles on the roadrunner and I park it for the winter.

Shes been very dependable .... I also have a dual motor kukirin G2 Master, thats more for shits n giggles, ripping through forest etc. Also been very reliable and a lot of fun...

FWIW, just broke in an Ausom L2, Single motor. Used to only kick scoot, so I'm used to scooters being sub-10 lbs. From that perspective, if you consider something in that spec: * A large scooter that goes 30mph with 20 mile real range when flooring it, is essentially a small motorcycle in it's bulk. You CAN fold it, but that's like saying you CAN kick scoot uphill. * And at 60 lbs, it's going to be an impractical thing to actually pick up and maneuver past people or any kind of hallway that doesn't allow 3 large framed individuals to pass through comfortably, regardless if you "can carry it". * Single motor acceleration is kind of shite. At about 15mph out of the 30mph max speed, your acceleration falls off a cliff. Doubly so once it goes uphill. You'll get there EVENTUALLY, but it's the kind of thing that makes me only comfortable riding it on a sidewalk, or residential streets where the speed limit is around your acceleration range. * Something that isn't immediately obvious, nor mentioned in reviews very often, is that there is a maximum steering angle you can twist the handlebars, unlike a kick scooter with no wires. This maximum steering angle can be EXTREMELY awkward if you're, for example, trying to get it out of a crowded garage, backing out of an elevator after you pulled into it with your scooter still unfolded, or are in the middle of a supermarket aisle and need to turn around. A shopping cart is lighter, and easier to maneuver by lifting the rear wheels to quickly turn around in all of these scenarios, for reference. Your requirements are far below what I originally envisioned for this ( A "fun" ride that can also be justified as a quick grocery getter without bothering with a car), so you're probably better off with something significantly lighter with 2 500w motors. If the range on anything in the 30-40lb range makes you anxious, probably a spare battery you can keep in a scooter bag.

I have a slightly more powerful L2. You'll hit 30 so long as it's above 50% charge. Dip below that and you start teetering on 25. Gods help you if you end up at a stop sign with a slight incline, and you need to go from 0-30 reasonably quickly so that cars coming in from the left don't slam into you where there's no bike lane or side walk to safely get up to speed. It brought me back and forth a 20 mile round trip with something like 20-30% battery remaining across a hilly ride. It's less "Fun" than a no suspension, low to the ground scoot, because the suspension and height feels like it deadens the sense of speed. But it will work as a mode of transportation. At this size and form factor, you want a dual motor setup that can reach 40MPH, not because you WANT to go 40, but because the acceleration characteristics will get you out of road and hill anxiety. Any less, and you feel like you're in a really big car that had it's engine stripped out to some dinky 1.0 Liter 3 piston thing from 2005. [Or you get a Vmax which apparently has amazing range.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oToTrsM6C_8)

Ausom's pretty big. Borderline not portable for anyone who actually needs to go into shops with it. L2 Single motor goes 30, but I don't feel the speed so much as I'm conscious of it as a data point when on roads. More of a cruiser than a nippy ride.

I too have a climber as my daily driver scoot. I Picked up an EUC, an Aero, mostly because it's significantly smaller while going the same speed and more, once you become confident enough at handling the fact that you only have one wheel and are reliant on your balance. It'll rip up hills before wind pressure and inclines force me to accelerate slower at 26 MPH, but before that it GOES. It satisfies the "Go faster" itch by virtue of feeling faster and getting more adrenaline going because of the inherent risk involved, it fits in a gym locker, and you can sit on it while it self balances when you go out and have to stop for pedestrian crossings, or are just sitting in line. You probably won't even enjoy going 30 on a scooter, TBH. Used to have an Ausom that could, and it felt more sterile than the climber without the fun factor.

If you can stretch the budget a bit I’d look at the Ausom L2 single motor. You can use code U8 at checkout on their website for $75 off. So you can get it for like $675

I have the L2. The extra 150$ or whatever is totally worth the tiny boost in motor and batter size. Tiny bit faster and farther. Hydraulic vs mechanical discs. Headlight placement is more sensible. Other than that they are nearly identical.

I'm an Ausom guinea pig. First time escoot. I figure if shit goes belly up I'm out $900. There were so many damn variables I pretty much said fuck it. I guess my big reason for going this Ausom route is because I was emailing them prior to purchase and got a decent sense of security. Β―\\_(ツ)_/Β― That being said Ive been having a blast.

Got the single. Already have the Kaabo mkgt so didn't need one that goes 40. Something to replace my Hiboy pro max. Definite upgrade. It's great.

That's exactly my point. This ausom scooter on a level surface, warm weather, not too windy, and with a moderate rider weight will reach speeds where you'd generally want a steering damper to avoid subtle or catastrophic steering wobbles. But if you stay around 37mph or lower you should be totally safe, with both hands on the bars. I generally see base tier as up to about 20mph, mid tier up to 50mph, and top tier up to or over 70mph, And while faster scooters generally come with more stable construction quality, like weight distribution, suspension, adequate handlebar width, and steering dampers, mid tier is basically the most a normal person would ask for, and so as such your scooter choice is phenomenal and I commend you for it, Because most scooter crashes actually happen on base tier models, and lots of folks posting on here post their gripes about their base tier models, while others never see the need to excel past base tier. Mid tier is super ideal. Good purchase, buddy.

There are much better specced scooters for the money, only reason they sell any is because ESG shills for them. If youre on a budget go for an Ausom scooter, they have the best price to performance/features, they sell a scooter for 600 that will hit 28mph. If you want something high performance get a teverun, the blade gt2 is fantastic, I have 4k miles on mine.
