Based on 1 year's data from Feb 15, 2026 How it works
5 years ago, I had my first e-scooter, don't remember the brand name, not a famous one. The brakes didn't work after a 6 months?or 8 mothes? I went to the repair shop and replaced them. But damn! After two monthes, it was stolen! It's a used and repaired scooter! Why stolen it? Then I had my second scooter, the Xiaomi's one. It was brillant and light for me. Only repaired once after I hit a rock by accident. Last year, I gave it to my grandpa, he loves it. Now I have the Ausom DT1 PRO for over half a year, hasn't been repaired yet. But I doubt it can hang on for over a year, because it's fast and wild. Hope no more accidents. Ride safe, guys!
I've had a no-name, Amazon Xiaomi knock-off, an Ausom Leopard, and currently own a vsett 10+ and a kaabo warrior 11 pro +. The quality of the components as well as the fit, finish, and weatherproofing on the vsett and kaabo are far superior to the other two; however, the maintenance requirements are much more significant.
I second this! Lovely scooter I currently have 1100 miles on my leopard and itβs quite the zoomer for the price lol
Ausom is just Chinesium too as far as that goes. That being said. I'm impressed enough. Just picked up a ausom leopard with 124 miles on it for $350. Which is just a rebranded kukirin G2 max. Awesome scoot for the price
Hey there , Im 5"1 Female and very curvy while being bottom heavy as well π . I copped a Ausom D2T Pro , i ride with a seat ( i weigh under 200lbs and my seat kept dropping while riding ππ ) i wasn't feelin that not one bit . AHEM ! anyway , The stem on the D2T can not be adjusted sadly π but i still Recommend it bc its a F*ckn Powerhouse π€© . What i did was cut a piece of wood (took a few tries since i am not good with hand tools lol and kept messing up the adjustment) but i stuck it under my seat post to hold me steady & boost my height while sitting until i can get it modded by a welder . Definitely felt safer since i could actually see above the stem . If you get get any scooter that goes above 30mph , get a steering damper ! but i also got a Ausom Leopard (my side piece) and that adjusts thank god lol (but i ride this baby standing π€) sucks they don't think about us short people much . They should definitely make more high quality scooters that have adjustable stems . Do Not Forget to Gear Up while riding ! SAFETY FIRST π . My karma is low since im new to actually using reddit now , been a watcher for some time π© . Upvotes would be helpful , i think π€. Hope this helps ππ½
Glad I got my Ausom Leopard before the tarrifs, ...$700 Not sure if it would matter, s Company is UK, Scooter made in China, and sent from warehouse in NJ....lol
I have the Ausom Leopard. its ok for my use...I say ok, because at first it would last a good while before needing charging, but now, a few months later, I have to charge it at least every other day...plus, it really slows down going up hills...from 22(top speed for 2nd gear, which is where I ride it in...1st gear is too slow, and third gear is too fast/scary for me) but going up hill, it goes down to 14mph when fully charged, a little less when low on power. Recently had a flat, and its not too hard to change tires/tubes...but I'm putting a solid tire on the back...split rim makes that easy, if you know what you're doing
I second this. Got my duel motor a couple weeks ago and its been great.
Ausom dual motor, love mine. 40mph https://preview.redd.it/zg0bszlj8p4g1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=802748457ccb705283a4d92bc0835d419b91166c
I have a roadrunner and an Ausom. I've had go Trax, I've had a parts bin scooter. Roadrunner is designed in the US and the build quality is superior to any scooter I've had so far. The Ausom is a great scooter. It was $1000 less than the roadrunner and it gets the job done..I have 1200 miles on the roadrunner and I park it for the winter.
I got one...it's a nice mid level scooter. Especially for the price.
That's exactly my point. This ausom scooter on a level surface, warm weather, not too windy, and with a moderate rider weight will reach speeds where you'd generally want a steering damper to avoid subtle or catastrophic steering wobbles. But if you stay around 37mph or lower you should be totally safe, with both hands on the bars. I generally see base tier as up to about 20mph, mid tier up to 50mph, and top tier up to or over 70mph, And while faster scooters generally come with more stable construction quality, like weight distribution, suspension, adequate handlebar width, and steering dampers, mid tier is basically the most a normal person would ask for, and so as such your scooter choice is phenomenal and I commend you for it, Because most scooter crashes actually happen on base tier models, and lots of folks posting on here post their gripes about their base tier models, while others never see the need to excel past base tier. Mid tier is super ideal. Good purchase, buddy.
