anska1 1.0I was in the same spot wanting something simple for short rainy commutes. Most scooters under £200 struggle with waterproofing so you might want to stretch a bit higher. The Circooter Landturbo has been solid for me through wet rides and handles my 90kg weight easily. It might be a little above your budget but it’s worth it for the build quality and weather resistance.
ghgi_ 1.0Id personally get a circooter mate for $499 ive got buddy whos owned one for over a year now and its pretty solid, 28 mph and decent acceleration and range is good, if your willing to spend an extra 50 bucks the circooter landturbo is slightlyyyy more battery and better build/frame and better suspension.

When comparing models focus on battery size, waterproof rating, and overall frame quality instead of just top speed. I got a Circooter Landturbo last year during the sale and it’s been surprisingly solid for the price. If they run another discount this year it might be worth keeping an eye on.
