Same! I've got a GX3 and honestly, the suspension is one of the best things about it. My commute has this stretch of really trashed pavement, and on my older scooter that part used to shake my hands totally numb. LOL. With the GX3, the front fork and rear swing-arm actually soak up most of it. You still feel the bumps, but it doesn't beat you up or make the scooter feel sketchy. The bigger tires and suspension work together so it stays nice and planted instead of bouncing all over the place. For rough roads, it's a huge upgrade compared to the typical mid-range scooters I've been on.
One thing that I will say is that… their customer service of GOTRAX was really very fast in getting back to me when I first got my GX3. I had a few general questions about the setup and how to figure out the dual motor setting. And, they answered me much quicker than I thought they would. It was not like waiting for days and then getting an email. They guided me through everything, helped me see a couple of features through the phone, and made sure that everything was working correctly. For a scooter at this price level, it is pretty great to have real local support that responds and really helps you !!
if you're gonna ride often for 20+ minutes at a time i REALLY recommend something with dual suspension(unless you're gonna be on perfectly paved street, unfortunately im in nyc). they're pricey but your knees will thank you. https://preview.redd.it/hn39vmaro2zf1.jpeg?width=2252&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e2d4abc613eac0e6ed5eb2c74f30b86f83c14a87 my gotrax gx3 has great adjustable suspension. if you gotta lug it up some stairs get something lighter, this thing weighs 90lbs 😢
I have had a GX3 for a little bit over 1 and half years now. One thing that genuinely works in GX3’s favor is the parts. In my experience i’ve only used the warranty once and they sent me a replacement motor controller in about a week. For a scooter in this price range, being able to order replacement brakes, motors, suspension arms, lights, and even battery parts directly without going through random AliExpress sellers is a meaningful advantage !!
Great example, I am a car guy too. I have a AWD(Xdrive) m3, the controls are just better than a 2wd car. I don't need to worry too much about spinning in a turning corner. I will probably get GX3 then. LOL. BTW, You have a TLX?
Appreciate the breakdown. that’s basically why the GX3 keeps popping back onto my list. The dual 1000W sounds like it’d actually solve the 10mph uphill while praying problems, and the suspension part matters more than I thought it would cuz.. that stupid gravel path turns my current scooter into a paint shaker. Lmfao, I never thought that suspension is actually matter that much the first time.
Price-wise, $2000, the GX3 actually sits in a pretty sweet spot for what you're getting. You've got dual 1000W motors, a beefier battery, and suspension that doesn't feel sketchy when you're cruising at speed. It's definitely not a budget option, but when you compare it to other scooters with similar power and range, the GX3 comes in way cheaper than most "performance scooter" prices out there.
My gotrax gx3 doesnt require an app
Regularly take my gotrax gx3 on 25 mile round trips down out of season snowmobile trails with no recharge. Would recommend that if youre not liiking to spend $3k+
That is awesome! Holy shit, well done! What was your scooter experience before the GTR? My first scooter was the GOTRAX GX3 and I only had that a couple weeks before I decided I wanted a more capable ride for speed and distance. Im a heavier rider, so i needed a more robust build. Absolutely love the GTR. Any tips for a newbie looking to replace the tires down the line?
Not GX2 but GX3 rider here and yeah, Mine’s about a year old, maybe 500 miles? and the only issue I had was a noisy rear brake and a slightly sketchy connector. Support was chill, sent out what I needed fast, no arguing, no sending us a 12-minute video nonsense. Lol. The scooter itself has been a tank, but just knowing I can go straight to the source for a new arm, motor, or light instead of hunting part numbers on Discord group or amazon makes me way more comfortable riding it hard. LFG!
I have the gotrax gx3. I have had gotrax scooters for about 6 years. Always reliable. Just leisure for me but I have about 100 miles on the gx3 now. I jump it. I always use top mode both motors and get around 30 miles without running out. It's heavy and I don't wanna have to push it home. I love it but it leaves u wanting more. I'm already researching top of line scooters. For me my wife won't let me get a motorcycle because I have had 3 crashes over my 20 years and 2 were me hit by cars. Pretty hurt..some operations but I'm ok. Going 40 to 50 on one of these gets me happy and makes a simple trip to go get a redbull fun. Anyone weigh in if u read this. I'm considering the inmotion rs. Someone said wait and there's a velo version coming out to fix bugs but right now the inmotions are on sale but if they're fucked up I don't want it. My 11 yo twins have the nanrobot c1 3.0 and the hiboy ks4 pro. Those are nice too but not anywhere near the gx3. Still whip if I forgot to charge my battery.
Nanrobot and hiboy my kids have. Id stay away from nanrobot at least their lower models. Hiboy seems ok but these are small single motor 300 or maybe 500 watt. I have had good luck with gotrax. Lower end scooters served me well over the years just tooling around with my kids. Then this year I got a gotrax gx3 which is their best one. Love it especially offroad. I beat the shit out of it and still good. Love the tall handlebars. Then I got a faster one. I got a nami burn e3 max and that's a rocket. I think brand wise. Nami. Kaabo. And teverun have good reps.
