Thanks for all the great info everyone. Ended up going with the Hiboy S2 Max. The price was right and figured it would be a good starting point. Only put a couple miles on it so far but for what I paid for it I’m quite happy so far.
r/ElectricScooters • New to scooters - Hiboy? ->I got 3 flats in the first weekend of having my hiboy s2 max that I just bought like a month and a half ago, they replaced a wheel and ga e me 2 new tubes also, tube goo works but just NO, stay away from tubed tires on a scooter.... I instantly went and bought an teewing x5, DO NOT get tubed tires, they belong on a kids bike with Trai jng wheels
r/ElectricScooters • scooters with the best range that aren’t incredibly expensive ->Yes. I recently bought a Hiboy s2 max from them and was expecting a rip off but it actually arrived authentically and everything. I asked hiboy beforehand about if temu is a verified seller and they confirmed it was. Basically robbing them for $600.
r/ElectricScooters • TEMU is a good app to buy 🛴 ->Definitely get a Hiboy S2 Max i have one for over 3 years amazing range, speed, power and good customer service, only down side is the tires may start loosing air from around valve stem, so I upgraded to solid rubber ones from amazon that are perforated for smoother ride about 25$ a piece other than that no complaints
r/ElectricScooters • RIP to my trusty commuter scooter 💀 (Review + looking for recommendations) ->I have better experience with Segway than HiBoy. Security features and comfort. I got a HiBoy s2 max and only used it for a month while going on the 3rd month with my Segway g2 max. Safe travels bud!
r/ElectricScooters • Which scooter to buy? Need advice ->I agree only on the range. In every other field Segway prevails. But I did notice but s2 max hiboy could handle distances better than my g2 max Segway. But that’s the trade off for the added security, turning signals and dependable Bluetooth connection while the scooter is off as well.
r/ElectricScooters • Which scooter to buy? Need advice ->Ride quality is a lot better than OP's scooter since it has pneumatic tires. It does not have 65km of range. Keep in mind [the marketing lies](http://reddit.com/r/ElectricScooters/wiki/rangespecs).
r/ElectricScooters • Hiboy review as a delivery rider ->honestly man, hiboy’s not bad at all, especially the s2 max. i got one a while back and it’s been super chill for commuting nothing fancy but it gets the job done. good range, comfy ride, and doesn’t feel too cheap. i mean, sure it’s not a segway or some premium setup, but for the price, it’s kinda hard to complain. just make sure to tighten stuff now and then, they’re not perfect but def decent for the money.
r/ElectricScooters • New to scooters - Hiboy? ->My Hiboy S2 Max made the list nice and it's a really good one. I recommend it !
r/ElectricScooters • I analyzed Reddit for the 20 most recommended electric scooters in the past year ->My Hiboy S2 Max has gotten me through 3 Michigan winters. Ride it 6 miles everyday to work.
r/ElectricScooters • What are the MOST reliable E-scooters out there, with budget as less of a concern? ->I've used a Hiboy S2 max for three winters straight with no problems. I live in Michigan. Just be careful and you should be fine.
r/ElectricScooters • Scooters in winter compared to bikes ->S2 Max hasn't failed me yet, but you can do a lot better than Hiboy
r/ElectricScooters • TEMU is a good app to buy 🛴 ->It's an M365 clone, no suspension but the air-filled tires do cushion the ride a bit and I feel comfortable riding over gravel and unswept roads since I have self-sealing tires. If your main concern is suspension and comfort, the S2 Max ain't for you
r/ElectricScooters • TEMU is a good app to buy 🛴 ->HiBoy KS4 Pro for $400, or HiBoy S2 for $300 with less range. My daughter uses the S2 at college and it’s been great for her, but she only rides a few miles per day so range isn’t super important for her. But she goes days in between charging it. I use the KS4 Pro myself and I’ve been happy with it though with me being 230 pounds I don’t get terrific range out of it, especially if I’m riding up hills frequently.
r/ElectricScooters • recommend me a scooter for uni ->Hey everyone, I'm in the market for an electric scooter primarily for commuting purposes. I weigh around 230 lbs and need a scooter that offers a good range. I previously tried the HiBoy S2, but it only gave me about 6-7 miles at max speed, which isn't sufficient for my needs. I'm looking for a scooter that can provide at least 15 miles of range at top speed. My budget is around $500, and I don't require any fancy features—just reliability and sufficient range. I came across the NIU KQi3 Pro, which seems promising. However, I'm concerned about whether it can deliver the required range given my weight. Does anyone have experience with this model or can suggest alternatives that fit my criteria? Thanks in advance for your recommendations!
r/ElectricScooters • Needed Advice for Best Electric Scooter for 230lb Rider – $500 Budget, 15+ Mile Range ->I have a Hiboy S2 and I like it a lot
r/Columbus • Electric Scooter Recommendations ->Why? Cheap accessible scooter that many people bought? I’ve seen it recommended, and would recommend it as well.
r/ElectricScooters • I analyzed the 20 most recommended electric scooters on Reddit ->I've got a hiboy s2 and i basically use a combination of a u-lock and a password cable lock. But basically because scooter and bike theft is so rampant in my city i only take my scooter out and lock it up if i am somewhere where i will still be able to visually see it like with certain stores or with stores that allow me to lock it up on the inside of the entrance where security can often see the bikes/scooters but anytime i cant do that or i don't have someone else with me to watch it for me then i don't take it with me. As other comments noted, the locks help but ultimately they are just a mere deterrent but wont fully prevent theft because thieves get real dedicated coz all they need is basically enough time and they will grind or bolt cutter most locks. But yeah having said that just make sure you got at least two locks (any combination of two chain locks or a chain lock and u lock etc) and just make sure you don't gamble in certain scenarios, always go with your gut feeling if a place seems sketchy to leave your scooter/bike then it probably isn't worth taking the risk :)
r/ElectricScooters • how do you guys lock your scooter ->Eek! Just returned the Hiboy s2 (someone else was returning theirs at the same time). Rough ride! I thought I was going to chip a tooth.
r/ElectricScooters • Best Scooter for Daily Commute ->IDK if they are still under $250 but check out the Hiboy S2. It's their solid no frills entry level scooter. I started with it and put about 1500 miles on it but now run the S2R plus with over 2k miles and it's still only $400!
r/ElectricScooters • Best Electric Scooter on Amazon for Around $250? ->I loved my Apollo Pro, it was way more stable and safer feeling to ride than my new Hiboy S2. Excellent lighting and braking, usually cruising at 45mph. Soon I’ll be replacing it with the Apollo Phantom Stellar.
r/ElectricScooters • Best Scooter for Daily Commute ->Just depends bro. How much are you trying to spend and what specs are you looking for? I think if you just google best e scooters under x amount that’d be a good place to start and you can get an idea of what features you can afford for what price. For example most dual motor scooters are gonna cost more, bigger battery for more mileage costs more and makes the scooter heavier, turn signals digital cockpit etc costs more so just know what you want and how much you’ve got to spend and go from there 🤙🏾 my first scooter I got like 2 yrs ago was a Hiboy s2 it’s not bad it reads 19 on the display, rear suspension gets about 20 miles and it’s pretty light, cost 300$. I’m about to get an ausom l2 max dual motor here in a few days actually for more speed. I think for a first scooter you can find a good one for under 400 that’ll do what you need it to
r/ElectricScooters • First time looking into E-Scooters, need help and recommendations. ->Everyone is full of it - for a budget scooter go with the hiboy s2, I've put hundreds of miles on mine and zero issues, good speed, Regeneration braking, disc brakes, etc. 💯💯
r/ElectricScooters • Best Scooter for less than 500? ->You could try the HiBoy S2. That’s what I have. It has shock absorption and is built pretty solid
r/ElectricScooters • RIP to my trusty commuter scooter 💀 (Review + looking for recommendations) ->Yea that’s I hiboy s2 essentially . Total piece of $hit . It does hit 19 mph but gets about 4-5 miles max on full charge . I’m getting a ausom gallop next week.
r/ElectricScooters • Id imagine you guys are the experts on these ->I didn’t do my research like an idiot and got stuck hitting the smallest rocks and flying off the damn thing. Hiboy is Chinese junk. Sorry for venting but we gotta save this guy from buying junk
r/ElectricScooters • Id imagine you guys are the experts on these ->I know my hiboy s2 blows and was 249.00
r/ElectricScooters • Id imagine you guys are the experts on these ->The S2 was my first scooter. Gotabout 6 to 8 months of daily use out of it. Ended with an E1 error. Sold it as is. For the 400 it cost, I got my money's worth out of it.
r/ElectricScooters • Hiboy review as a delivery rider ->I'm doubtful of the methodology correctly identifying mentions autonomously as positive to begin with, mainly because of the Hiboy S2 appearing in the results.
r/ElectricScooters • I analyzed the 20 most recommended electric scooters on Reddit ->Neck tube fracture is why. Every time I see that like (Hiboy S2 - not S2 Max; just S2, their xiaomioid/M365 clone, in all its zillion variants) come up in discussion it is to DISrecommend it.
r/ElectricScooters • I analyzed the 20 most recommended electric scooters on Reddit ->Brother just buy a good one used or a refurbished one maybe hiboy s2 that thing lasted me 4 years easy
r/ElectricScooters • Entry Level scooter for college ->This is the correct answer. Build quality on hiboy and gotrax is not sufficient for a daily driver. You don't want to blow money? We'll this is a perfect opportunity to learn how expensive cheap can be. Warranty repair on scooters sucks. You'll at least be on the hook for shipping. Go check what it costs to ship a scooter. We'll wait. You'll be without your scooter for a minimum of 2 weeks but likely much longer. Segways aren't particularly cool looking, they're not particularly inexpensive and they are not particularly light. They're not particularly fast for compared to other scooters that are available for the same money. But they are solidly built scooters that will last if you just do the minimum amount of maintenance on them. Spend a little bit more, check your tire pressure regularly, do the basic maintenance, don't drain the battery all the way before charging and it will last you a long time. Don't ever pay list price for a Segway. If the model you want isn't on sale this week, it probably will be next week. You want reliability, not speed, not a colorful paint job, not a bunch of extra flashy lights. NIU is also a good choice. Hiboy and Gotrax make ok entry level scooters, but they are toys. They generally don't last. They're fine for light-duty recreational use. If this is something that's going to get used everyday rain or shine they're not a good choice.
r/ElectricScooters • Best electric scooter for daily work commute? ->Hiboy is best obviously
r/ElectricScooters • I analyzed the 20 most recommended electric scooters on Reddit ->The Hiboy one is 299 in Best Buy and it’s really good and fast
r/ElectricScooters • Best Under $600 ->Hiboys a known brand, they’re pretty reputable, and they’ll stand behind their warranty. You’d probably find a lot of people here who have that and love it and a few people who have it and hate it. But it’s solid if you’re just getting it to commute.
r/ElectricScooters • Need a budget e-scooter under $300 — short commute, tall rider ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
