Dude they are on sale s1f is the same price on the INMOTION website. My bf got the air since he’s only 100 pounds I got the climber and my brother just ordered the s1f INMOTION gang gang 🤣
r/ElectricScooters • InMotion Climber ->> Between EUCs and Scooters, I think I'd rather have a scooter for safety reasons Same here! I live in the mountains, so my hills are pretty brutal. I have one of the smallest EUCs (MTEN4), and I am so proud of how it handles hills! But yea, at the end of the day, if it turns off on its own (never happened), I will be hurt. I like to utilize public transit, so I wanted something as small as possible, but strong enough for these brutal hills. Went with the Inmotion Climber. It's on sale right now. 350W single motor won't cut it for my hills, keep that in mind when thinking about yours.
r/ElectricScooters • Choosing a Lighter Scooter for Hills ->I recently ordered an inmotion climber for my commute from pac height to hayes valley
r/ElectricScooters • Best portable/foldable electric scooter for San Francisco? ->Can say ive got two inmotion climber and both hit 20mph uphill and 25mph downhill. Im a small dude though and only ~170pounds. Weight will make a significant difference when doing hill climbs.
r/ElectricScooters • Is there a reason why the InMotion S1F has completely different reviews on their website vs Amazon? ->The S1F and S1 are pretty much the same scooter. The S1 is a bit slower but has a little extra torque. I’m just worried that the single motor might struggle with your weight going uphill. The Climber is smaller and has a poor range, plus it uses tubed tires. Besides the S1, the only other reputable brand with similar scooters is the Segway Max G2, but there’s no point in getting it for a big guy like you since it’s smaller, slower, and has less battery range. If you are looking around $1200, you might want to check out the Punk Rider Pro. It goes 31mph, has tubeless tires, an IPX6 rating, dual 600w motors, and suspension.
r/ElectricScooters • Is there a reason why the InMotion S1F has completely different reviews on their website vs Amazon? ->I just got my Climber a month ago, but have not had any range issues yet. My longest ride has been 12 mile loop (19km) of mixed hills and flat and had plenty of charge left. The battery life indicator still had 2 bars while riding. I weigh 240 pounds. I used the D mode which limits speed but gives better range. My old scooter had a single 350W motor and barely made it up hills. The Climber lives up to its name!
r/ElectricScooters • Inmotion Climber scooter owners, how's it going? ->Climber is a little beast
r/ElectricScooters • scooter recommendations for steep hills? ->My inmotion climber’s locking stem broke within 20 miles of use, what a shame
r/ElectricScooters • I analyzed the 20 most recommended electric scooters on Reddit ->i completely agree, the climber is the first scooter i’ve had in my journey where i think the watt numbers are a scam and probably has a lot of bought reviews. its built sturdy upo first pickup but is riddled with fault pieces inside and also is extremely slow and can barely climb hills like advertised
r/ElectricScooters • I analyzed the 20 most recommended electric scooters on Reddit ->For me yeah cuz I bought it from amazon but it honestly has too many issues for me to consider buying another or getting a replacement, first and foremost being that it sucks fat donkey ass at climbing hills unlike what is advertised, i have now educated myself on batteries and watts and all that so i can prevent this issue again
r/ElectricScooters • I analyzed the 20 most recommended electric scooters on Reddit ->mine hasn't. the only issue i have with the inmotion climber i have owned for 7 weeks now is its (lack of) speed. i can't even get it to hit even a crappy 22 mph yet even going downhill on a full charge. this despite it only weighing just 47lbs, it having 1500w peak power, it being dual motor, me weighing ~140lbs. smh unbelievable. i'm seeing single motor scooters do up near 30! needless to say i wanna sell it.
r/ElectricScooters • I analyzed the 20 most recommended electric scooters on Reddit ->their return policy makes you say you might as well keep it
r/ElectricScooters • I analyzed the 20 most recommended electric scooters on Reddit ->well to be fair and honest i haven't had structural with it at all. and it HAS climbed hills surprisingly and dependably well. and it has come in VERY handy and really has done what it's supposed to do. it's just inexplicably and frustratingly slow for a fairly light scooter with dual motors and considerable peak power. for example the hover 1 journey max is just as fast if not a tad faster despite having less peak power and costing several hundred dollars less. in my recent use of the inmotion climber i have just kept in drive mode instead of sport mode out of frustration because i realize i hit 16 in drive mode anyway so why waste battery by putting it in sport mode just to go a measly 3mph faster. looking at the landscape now, i see there are several 1000w single motor scooters that i SHOULD'VE picked up instead.
r/ElectricScooters • I analyzed the 20 most recommended electric scooters on Reddit ->ninebot g2 max weighs more but doesn't go faster or climb better than the climber
r/ElectricScooters • Inmotion Climber scooter owners, how's it going? ->for me it's the climber or the fluid mosquito. leaning towards the climber cuz of the dual motor but the mosquito has the speed i want
r/ElectricScooters • Inmotion Climber scooter owners, how's it going? ->suspension miles velocity and WEIGHT
r/ElectricScooters • Inmotion Climber scooter owners, how's it going? ->i'd DEFINITELY sell you my inmotion climber for 450, zero issues, solid scooter and still has a 10 month protection plan on it
r/ElectricScooters • Electric scooter for $500-600 ->I can confirm initial acceleration is crap and does not accelerate at all if you are on an incline. I will be returning. I think maybe they limited initial acceleration as potentially the battery cannot handle the peaks in current draw. It does accelerate eventually but it takes about 10s to feel the torque after turning to throttle. Brake is also so loud it turns heads. Support is being really slow about the return and will not acknowledge these issues. Had a $400 scooter with much better initial acceleration.
r/ElectricScooters • Inmotion Climber scooter owners, how's it going? ->I am really happy with mine, its on sale today on amazon again for 999-$300 coupon and another 10% off, making it around 600 plus tax, so far so good for me, I am about 180 pounds and use mostly sport mode in Vegas, I added a ton of safety items to it as I just don't trust drivers here or anywhere, sonic horn, mirrors, blinkers. I get average 18-20 mile range as its mostly flat around here, I also slimed the tires as I am paranoid to puncture a hole in em so thats been ok so far
r/ElectricScooters • Inmotion Climber scooter owners, how's it going? ->Im not sure if InMotion is available in canada. As far as i know, theyre a global retailer, but that may be my american privilege assuming everything is obtainable. I recently bought the “InMotion Climber” and for $663 usd after tax and shipping. Im very thrilled with my purchase. Very powerful for its size/cost. Only con is i wish it had suspension. But great scooter
r/ElectricScooters • Need a scooter recommendation, in Canada. ->Pretty good! 14.7ah samsung unit. So good quality. I do about 11 miles each day on my commute, and still have about 50% battery left. Suspension would be nice, but from what ive heard, cheaper scooter suspension is almost worthless. So im happy that i went with power over suspension at the cost of $663. Anything in that price bracket (with suspension) wouldve been underpowered. If you live in a flatter area, maybe that wouldnt be an issue tho
r/ElectricScooters • Need a scooter recommendation, in Canada. ->I mean, for as exposed as you are its still not fast enough? Trust me I am all about speed and build motorcycles but on such a small platform I am not sure I would really want to go much faster. I could agree maybe like 5 MPH or so... Problem is when you start running over potholes and roads that are a bit rough.
r/ElectricScooters • Inmotion Climber scooter owners, how's it going? ->How far would you be riding on the train? I've had my Climber for almost a year and you and I are no shit the same size! lol. It would really depend on how much space you have on your commute, even folded its a pretty robust scooter that can even be awkward when negotiating doors and passageways, escalators would be a real fun challenge. If you can ride that bad boy clear to your office, seriously man it rolls! Crushes hills and has awesome pickup. If that is not an option, what I would do Is try to commute during an off time when there is no rush out etc... see if it's feasible. I am in the DC metro area and the bus and trains probably wouldn't let me on during peak traffic, just too congested. There are a few variables that would help me get a better idea... Just think that its 45lbs, awkward to carry, not heavy at first but if you lug it long enough it gets heavy etc.. .
r/ElectricScooters • Inmotion Climber scooter owners, how's it going? ->Cool scooter, good luck getting replacement parts that match if your in the US. Its the unfortunate reality with a lot of these imported scooters—great on paper, but an absolute nightmare when it comes to repairs and parts. Companies like Ailen Rides (and a bunch of other resellers) are quick to take your money but don't want to back up their products when things go wrong. "Normal wear and tear" is their go-to excuse to avoid warranty claims.
r/ElectricScooters • Inmotion Climber scooter owners, how's it going? ->Damn! I must have gotten one from the good batch! Mine is coming up on a year old and full throttle in Sport Mode requires a bit of a forward stance and good grip on the handle bars. I haven't really tried any other scooters, other than rentals, the take off impressed me. I want to say I remember hearing something about a software update of some sorts, Id also make sure that you are not in the "European mode" ; they have a cap on the speed limit for these that is significantly less than in the US. I'm sure though, regardless of where you are in the world it can easily be bypassed.
r/ElectricScooters • Inmotion Climber scooter owners, how's it going? ->I tested one, rode it over cobble stones, was happy enough with the ride, and I weigh 125kg.
r/ElectricScooters • Inmotion Climber scooter owners, how's it going? ->I weigh about 320, and the climber has a nice 4-5 mile (hilly) range for me - it's worked well since I got it in November as a "last mile" service before and after the bus or train. I will say, I straight up hate having to change the tires or tubes - it's a whole production - but the ride is smooth on streets and sidewalks even without massive suspension.
r/ElectricScooters • Inmotion Climber scooter owners, how's it going? ->To let you both know - I've owned mine about a year, and I'm just a bit heavier than y'all, and using it for this purpose, and it's a dream. My only complaints are that the handles don't fold, so you've got to be good at angling it if there's a packed train or bus, and that it turns quickly into a brick in cold weather - other scooters have better cold protection, but this one does not love the cold. Great in rain, great in wind, good stopping, amazing at hills.
r/ElectricScooters • Inmotion Climber scooter owners, how's it going? ->I own a dualtron togo, inmotion climber and a vseeltt 10+ so yes lol
r/ElectricScooters • Do people still buy name brands? ->If you just want something cheap and reliable that can get up any hill inmotion hill climber is worth a look
r/ElectricScooters • Best electric scooter under $1000 ->Im 67Kgs, and i've been using mine for about 6 months now. I think for the price, having a budget performance dual motor scooter that smokes the common e-scooter in speed is good enough for me. I travel back and forth from work around 15kms each day. I've gotten on flat tyre because i was trying to do bunny hops and wheelies to go over curbs and busted the back wheel but fixed it easily.
r/ElectricScooters • Inmotion Climber scooter owners, how's it going? ->Inmotion climber will work for you
r/ElectricScooters • Daily ride for a heavier person (300 pounds) ->I love mine. Got about 350 miles on it so far. Love how it climbs. I use for recreation and fun. No commute. And that price has me wanting to get one for the wife!
r/ElectricScooters • Inmotion Climber scooter owners, how's it going? ->I absolutely love mine. $699 is such a good deal. No other scooter touches it at that price especially.
r/ElectricScooters • Inmotion Climber scooter owners, how's it going? ->Received my order a week ago. Acceleration 0-10mph slower than I'd like, but 10-20mph you feel it pull. Can sustain 10-14mph up quite steep hills (200lb rider). Hills are never a problem now, which is why I wanted this scooter. Rear disc brake can be squeaky/rattly under light braking. I might need to lubricate or adjust it. The brakes do stop effectively. I noticed power drop at 40% battery. Max speed down to about 18 mph. Used 60% battery over 9 miles with 1400ft vertical. Brakes are adjustable in app (I assume only applies to electronic brakes), but no regen setting. I like scooters with heavy regen to coast down long hills without braking, and to recover some battery. Many recent orders having dashboard/app battery issues: [https://www.reddit.com/r/ElectricScooters/comments/1c7m8m2/inmotion\_climber\_battery\_issue/](https://www.reddit.com/r/ElectricScooters/comments/1c7m8m2/inmotion_climber_battery_issue/) Overall I'm very happy with the scooter for the price, with the exception of the dashboard/app battery issue (which seems to only be an annoyance and not impact performance). Maybe this issue can be fixed in a firmware update?
r/ElectricScooters • Inmotion Climber scooter owners, how's it going? ->Contact their support, I reached out and they sent me everything I needed for free
r/ElectricScooters • Inmotion Climber scooter owners, how's it going? ->Almost a year since I owned this scooter, Zero issues over 2000 miles! Battery still good and the firmware update made it even 4 mph faster! Love this dual motor scooter it’s definitely a climber
r/ElectricScooters • Inmotion Climber scooter owners, how's it going? ->I have the Inmotion Climber and highly recommend it. I weigh 260 lbs and it hasn't been defeated by a hill as of yet and I've hit some big ones.
r/ElectricScooters • Big man looking for a powerful scooter for hilly areas in Australia ->In addition, it can get me to about 20 mph top speed pretty quickly.
r/ElectricScooters • Big man looking for a powerful scooter for hilly areas in Australia ->I just bought the inmotion climber, so far so good. I was very suprised how well it pulls you up the hills.
r/ElectricScooters • What kind of scooters are better for hills? ->I stay away from anything Amazon tbh, my friend just Got an e-scooter off Amazon recently against my advice and it’s already broken to shit with light use. He thought he was getting a steal and I was the dumb one for buying directly from a manufacturer I researched through and through. Jokes on him. My scooter I paid 700 for and have put 700+ miles on it since July still functions like the day I bought it, even after putting it through the wringer. Good luck op!
r/ElectricScooters • Does anyone have any thoughts? ->Inmotion Climber. Not the fastest (22 MPH, cruise up to 26). I needed one specifically for climbing very steep hills as I have many on my 3 mi commute to work. Not to turn this into a review but I do love the climber. It’s fast enough for me and I’ve already wiped out on it and got pretty hurt ngl lol. It’s good enough for me, yesterday I took it on a 20 mile adventure through my city and returned home with 30% battery life left, not too shabby for 700 I paid on it. Looking at the Inmotion RS/RS Lite or the nanrobot LS7+ to purchase in the spring. Attached below is proof I’ve put 700+ miles on it since July. It truly does perform as it did when I bought it in July. I’m impressed. https://preview.redd.it/rgqlzl58rcxd1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=71220aeecf8d75faf74fd51105787751bcbc70de
r/ElectricScooters • Does anyone have any thoughts? ->The laws I can’t attest to as there are virtually no laws in my city (US) for scooters. That really sounds terrible. Like I said above I researched this scooter through and through. Which means I dug through as many reviews and videos as I could, compared against other similar models, and even found a few owners that I spoke with. It took me 4 months of research and ultimately I decided for the price and what I needed a scooter for, that the climber was the best. My requirements were under a 1,000USD, dual motor, hill climbing ability, 20-25MPH, I did not care about suspension. The scooter is very much in stock here in the US. Inmotions Amazon store currently has them in stock on sale for $635. What I found with most product reviews were users completely disregarding the scooter based on the premise it didn’t have suspension. Which I think is ridiculous. I’ve ridden it extensively on and a little bit off road (within reason). While suspension is nice to have i couldn’t care less tbh. It rides fine. I liked the pneumatic tires and I’ve only popped one tube so far. It came with two tubes and was easy to swap out. Inmotion claims 10 minute tube change, it took me 20 mins but now that I know how to do it I see how it could be done in 10 mins. I like that support gets back to me in a timely manner, I do know support can be sucky but they’ve helped me thus far🤷🏽♂️. The only downside to this scooter I’ve had is it struggles to charge to 100% for some reason sometimes. You have to unplug/ plug in charger to get it to charge again usually after it hits 84%. What I also realized with the bad reviews are people complaining about speed, everyone wants the fastest scooter. That’s not what this is. It climbs hills and does it superbly well. In drive mode it goes 16mph and sport mode 22-23. Idk what the laws are in your country but this scooter isn’t breaking any records in that department. Uphill I maintain 15-18MPH depending on the grade. Again for $699USD I’m happy with it. It’s never broke down on me. 747 miles on the odometer and no signs of letting up on performance. TLDR: This is a simple entry-level dual motor commuter scooter that climbs hills without hesitation and performs as expected for its price. This isn’t the best scooter in the world by any means but it’s a very good one IMHO.
