"Crushes hills and has awesome pickup."
"Mine is coming up on a year old and full throttle in Sport Mode requires a bit of a forward stance and good grip on the handle bars. ... Crushes hills and has awesome pickup."
"i’m a big guy at 255 pounds and even with a 10 pound backpack on it can get me up decent hills from 0. ... In hilly San Francisco, i’d say 90% of the hills are easily traversable at full to near full speed"

"no suspension gave me a little anxiety."
"As long as you're on smooth roads it's fine but you do feel a lot of defects in the road as you pass over them. ... I maxed the psi in both tires and it was ridged riding. Responsive in a good way but definitely ridgid."

"even folded its a pretty robust scooter that can even be awkward when negotiating doors and passageways, escalators would be a real fun challenge. ... Just think that its 45lbs, awkward to carry, not heavy at first but if you lug it long enough it gets heavy etc.."

"the only bad thing with hills with this scooter is actually going downhill, brakes aren’t the strongest. ... one night I was flying down this steep hill (in that 8-9% i mentioned earlier) and i couldn’t slow down even fully pushing the brake, and i shot through into a flat intersection at the bottom of the hill where I finally could brake."
"the brakes could be better"
I just upgraded after riding the Inmotion climber for 200 miles. Switched to the Ausom L2 max dual motor. I really liked the climber but the 14-18 mile range and no suspension gave me a little anxiety. I've put about 60 miles on the L2 and its been excellent so far!
r/ElectricScooters • Recommend me a reliable scooter (under $800)? ->Super new here but been lurking and researching reviews for weeks before finally pulling the trigger on the Climber! Been out and about today beautiful 75°F pnw weather did about 13.5 miles. This was my 3rd or 4th pick over all the models I've been looking at. Super happy with the performance so far, however I think I want dual shocks and may return it for something a little more robust but not much bigger. My city allows pev's up to 25mph on the sidewalks so I was also considering the Ausom L1/L2, NIU 300X, and Kukirirn G2 Max/G2 Master(tho bulky and super fast). I think the kukirirn will be too big for my use as I don't want to hog the whole lane. I'm open to suggestions though! Thumb and finger throttle is best for me, I can increase my budget up to about $1k. We have some descent hills in my town, and also some light off road trails that are mostly hard pack I'd like to rip on once I get some more rugged safety gear. I have a bike helmet, but will be buying a downhill MTB helmet next week. Comments and recommendations are welcome! Thanks for reading!
r/ElectricScooters • First day with my first electric scooter (Inmotion Climber) ->I've had my climber for about three weeks and nearly 200 miles on the clock so far. It's my first escoot and it's been pretty great, but like many I wish it had suspension and a bit bigger battery. If I go easy on the throttle I can do around 20+ miles, but at full speed its 15 miles max range on mostly flat bike trails. Hills? What freaking hills?! I live in the PNW and the Climber does all the hills around here 16-19mph! So I do recommend it for a first scooter if you don't plan on bumpy paths or any sort of off-road. Also I'm 5'10" and around 180-190lbs. With all that said, I'm still in my Amazon return window and my Ausom L2 Max Dual Motor arrives today, any minute now actually! I love the scooter life so much that I didn't want to have to wait for a refund and be scooterless for a week since I've been using to commute a half mile to work. On my off days its nice to run errands and explore, since my car needs some repair work this has helped me a lot! I'm definitely a bit upset I didn't buy a scooter years ago, but very happy you get so much for your money's worth now!
r/ElectricScooters • I've been contemplating the purchase of an Inmotion Climber. Could you please assist me? ->Last night I did 5 miles with the ootb charge on the ausom l2 max. Just getting used to the suspension and acceleration. Also adjusting handlebars and instruments making it more comfortable. I'll say the Climber is more nimble and stiff. Almost easier to be confident early on. However its top speed of 20-22mph in sport mode is a big drawback on residential roads. I'd frequently use the sidewalks just because I couldn't keep up with traffic. Luckily we have lots of bike paths here. However, this Ausom scooter is fast! All the sewer covers, and water main covers that I had to avoid before? They barely exist with dual suspension. Surreal how soft it is. If you're serious about commuting you need suspension! Coming back from the river tonight I had no problems on the residential streets. Keeping up with traffic on 25-30mph roads was smooth. Last week I was super worried about being over taken by traffic, tonight it was super easy to keep up. https://preview.redd.it/ak4u24uh99nf1.jpeg?width=2021&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d5e925e745be67ee5cb418e0a77d850b74182d5e
r/ElectricScooters • I've been contemplating the purchase of an Inmotion Climber. Could you please assist me? ->I bought an inmotion climber recently in San Francisco, so far it has handled all the hills I've taken it up, though it will slow down quite a bit on steeper ones (~25%+ grade). The lack of a suspension is a bummer of bad roads, but I've had no other complaints so far! Had it for a couple months now.
r/ElectricScooters • Just bought a Segway Ninebot E2 Pro, turns out that was the wrong choice ->Love my Inmotion Climber. About 15-18 miles of range at full speed of 24mph. Tackle any hill and even a blizzard.
r/ElectricScooters • Best Scooter for Daily Commute ->I didn’t car for the battery life and the twitchy throttle on the climber. Upgraded to a kaabo mantis king and it’s night and day.
r/ElectricScooters • First day with my first electric scooter (Inmotion Climber) ->Recently purchased an inmotion climber instead of g30lp and it was the greatest decision
r/ElectricScooters • Just bought a Segway Ninebot E2 Pro, turns out that was the wrong choice ->Inmotion climber! Zips my 230lbs around the hills of Seattle at 20mph.
r/ElectricScooters • Best Scooter for Daily Commute ->Can say ive got two inmotion climber and both hit 20mph uphill and 25mph downhill. Im a small dude though and only ~170pounds. Weight will make a significant difference when doing hill climbs.
r/ElectricScooters • Is there a reason why the InMotion S1F has completely different reviews on their website vs Amazon? ->I got the inmotion climber, it’s been great so far had it for 2 months and put 150ish miles on it already
r/ElectricScooters • I analyzed Reddit for the 20 most recommended electric scooters in the past year ->It really depends on if you want to go fast, commute, go up flight of stairs, need to do lot of miles... As a big rider too I just bought the inmotion climber, relatively fast, very light, dual motor so it carry me up hill. But not a big battery and it doesn't have suspension.
r/ElectricScooters • Large Rider Seeking E-Scooter ->Climber gud. Im sitting in a drink shop right now as i type this. Small enough to stash under a 2 person table. 18 mile real range while going fast when its possible and appropriate to do so. Brakes are weaker than a full on disc setup on each wheel. Drive like you value your life and youll probably be fine. had to tighten mine so that i get more bite sooner, came out of the box squishier and wanting me to really press the whole handle.
r/ElectricScooters • Recommend me a reliable scooter (under $800)? ->About 100 miles in, pulling the steering column up when going over mild bumps so it doesn't slam directly into them. No stem issues. It will start to lose acceleration, but maintain the ability to keep you at the rated maximum speed at around half battery.
r/ElectricScooters • I've been contemplating the purchase of an Inmotion Climber. Could you please assist me? ->August this year. It's got the turn signals. It's largely replaced a car for all single person quick trips for grabbing something to eat, or doing one person's worth of groceries for the week.
r/ElectricScooters • I've been contemplating the purchase of an Inmotion Climber. Could you please assist me? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
