Inmotion are pretty good, my RS climbs hill with ease!

Long story short I have crashed a scooter before and now I find it intimidating to be on scooters that are really high up. I want to regain some confidence and still have a great scooter,so I'm looking to buy one with a lower deck height. A lot of the low deck height scooters are pretty slow and can't get up a hill, but I live in a very hilly area. Many seem to be more of the budget or low end scooters. Are there any higher-end scooters where I can have the power to get up a hill but I don't have to step down as far from the top of the deck? I'm looking at the etwow gt sport as a good option but curious what the community thinks. Most scooter enthusiasts seem to go bigger and better and the bigger scooters get taller and taller for the suspensions and ability to off-road etc.
Rs is too extreme and a bit too expensive for me but is this a good brand, some other models look pretty good!
A bit more than your price range but imo the yume predator is the suv of scooters and I don't know why you would want anything else being that tall and that heavy. I'm 6'2 and at least as heavy as you and the yume predator is big af and comfortable because of it. I haven't seen a scooter with stem/handlebar height that even comes close nor have I seen anything with a deck size approaching it other than the inmotion rs and even that is still like 4 inches off. I wear big ass shoes so size mattered and I assume anyone this size would be similar. If you need to carry it up some stairs or something then ignore this post 😂
Oh I have. Yeah that killed it for me, the small tires. Tire size is the main limiting factor. I also don't love the rake angle on that inmotion. Almost like it wants me to fall back. But I'm 6ft 3 maybe it's more annoying for me.
Rule of thumb is, the higher the performance, the worse the water resistance will be. I wait a day after it rains before I’ll take my 7260R out. They claim high water resistance like IP65 but in reality, the faster a scooter goes, the more cooling it needs for its motor, batteries and controllers and cooling means airflow. Any place where air can get in, water can also ingress. The only hyperscooter I would trust as actually being “waterproof” is the INMOTION RS 2.0, anything outside of that I haven’t seen any real world testing to convince me otherwise. https://preview.redd.it/dqgjwwz17v4g1.jpeg?width=525&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=537d6ee97455bc0174be800068dd3216b7093856
INMOTION RS is the go to for super scooters. It’s getting a little long in the tooth now though. It’s waiting on a “refresh” to upgrade some components like the screen and wiring harness. I just ordered the Teverun 7260R, that has some really cool features like a built in GPS module that can geofence your scooter or give you an alert if someone takes it. It’s also probably the most powerful 72v production scooter available right now and has the best battery with a 60AH pack with a high discharge rate that allows for moddability. There’s the NAMI Burn-E Max 3. NAMI is the scooter company Apollo wishes it was. Build quality and engineering is next level. Super fast, built like a tank. Everyone who has one around here loves theirs. There’s the Roadrunner RX7 which is the equivalent of a riced out Honda Civic, it has Lumilor panels that are like massive LED sheets and it comes with Italian PMT tires and upgraded brakes as well as a removable battery. It had some issues when it first came out but they appear to be working out the kinks. There’s also stuff like the Kaabo WK-GTR or the Mars XTR but I’m not super versed on them. That’s just a few off the top of my head. Obviously I’m gonna push the 7260R because it’s what I chose but hyperscooters fill a lot of niches and I’d look into it more to see what you want.
Apollo makes trash scooters. The inmotion RS is decent, but they put the kick stand in the wrong spot, if you actually lean hard in a turn you can catch the kick stand on pavment. I would get a teverun fighter supreme ultra instead of the RS.
I have a Punk Rider Pro, as well as an Inmotion RS. The RS doesn't fit the budget (or the weight) but I was around 270 and rode my Punk Rider Pro just fine, and it was pretty easy for me to move it up a flight of stairs into my apartment (weighes about 70lbs). Unless you have to go up like 10 flights of stairs I think you can pretty easily move it in it's folded position. With your weight on the Punk Rider I think 20 miles roundtrip is definitely doable, especially if you can charge it where you're going to. And if you're riding at night the light is actually pretty sick. The headlights suck so definitely get some aftermarket ones and some mirrors.
