You should definitely look at the iScooter iX7 Pro.It is a dual motor beast and the build quality feels much more solid than the G2 Master. The speed limiting is super easy to handle through the P settings or remote depending on the version. It is also a perfect platform for adding hydraulic brakes since the cable routing is very straightforward.I have been using mine for a while and the torque is incredible for climbing steep hills.

For what you’re doing, real range and comfort matter more than brand hype. A true 30 km ride on mixed surfaces means big tires, suspension, and a battery with some buffer. From your list, Segway is safer for support but the batteries are a bit tight for repeated long legs. Kukirin has capacity but the after sales risk is real. If you’re open to another option under the same budget, the iScooter iX7 Pro makes a lot of sense. The 48V 17.5Ah battery, dual motors, and off road tires fit long station runs and rough surfaces much better without blowing past your budget.

Yeah the iX7Pro is solid for those specs but you might wanna check out the Vsett 10+ too - hits 40mph easy and the range is legit if you're not constantly maxing it out. Little heavier than the iX7 but the build quality feels way more premium

I’d be careful with sketchy resellers too. If they don’t ship direct to the US, that’s already a red flag. For under $1150 and aiming around 35 mph, the iScooter iX7 Pro is a solid alternative that’s actually available in the US. It’s a big jump from a 15 mph scooter but still feels stable and predictable, which matters if you’ve never owned a fast one before. If you’re upgrading anyway, I’d rather go with something you can actually buy and get support for than gamble on a questionable site.

Do ***not*** buy anything iScooter. Quality-wise we know them as the scrapings from the bottom of the barrel, and their support is known to be terrible to nonexistent. Hiboy are *somewhat* better but their low-end scooters are uncomfortable and not very safe, as they all have solid tires but no suspension on the front fork; they only start being OK above your budget. On a side note, none of these are *manufacturers* - they all import generic scooters from relatively unknown Chinese manufacturers. Only Ninebot/Segway, Niu, Brightway/Navee and a few others make their own scooters. As for suggestions: more info please. In particular, you don't specify a range - we don't know how long the trip to school is. If it's short enough - and keep in mind [the marketing lie factor](https://reddit.com/r/ElectricScooters/wiki/rangespecs) - then a Niu KQi1 or KQi 100 could be a good idea. Whatever you get, keep in mind that the tires must be pumped up to specced pressure more often than many people think - ideally weekly. A cheap bicycle pump *with a manometer* works well for this, otherwise they sell electric inflators that are more practical.

$300 wont buy even a decent scooter, must less a good one. If that is the price point you are working with, I would recommend checking the used market. I have ridden Gotrax, iScooter, Segway and eMove scooters, among others. Gotrax was complete garbage, the iScooter was decent, the Segway was built like a tank. I have mixed feelings about eMove Cruisers, which is my current ride. On the one hand the suspension is phenomenal, as is the range. But the tires, brakes and other bits haven’t lasted very long. I don’t have a ton of miles on mine, I right now need to replace both tires, possibly the brake calipers and one of the brake lines snapped for no apparent reason.
