If you want dual motor without blowing past $2K, the iScooter iX8 is the one to look at. It runs dual motors, hits the high-30 mph range, and usually sells around $1,000, so it’s way under budget. Big air tires make it smoother on rough streets than basic commuters, and the extra power feels a lot more controlled than single-motor setups. For the money, it’s a solid step up without paying premium prices.

If you want real performance under $2K, the iScooter iX8 is a strong pick. Dual 2400W motors, about 38 mph top speed, proper off road tires, and it’s on sale around $999 right now. That checks your speed and power needs without blowing the budget. For the price, it’s hard to find something that gives you this much without cutting corners.

Another $200, and you can get the i scooter ix8, the absolute best one they have. I looked at so many; my mind was on fire 🔥 😆, but I decided to go with it. Why? Well, for this price range, you won't get 2-piston hydraulic brakes with ebas, 12-inch off-road tires, and a very wide deck. I can go 70 to 75 km an hour if I'm on turbo duel motor. I never go this speed, but just so you know, I'm still testing range and suspension, but so far, it's great. Very smooth transition from a smooth road to off-road, and the way it climbs hills is just super easy. 2400 watt duel motor. I've seen some bad reviews for it, but that's just because most, I think, were expecting more for the price. I'd recommend this one. You're going to see good reviews and bad ones for all of them unless you're getting into the few-thousand-dollar range. Your options and quality range open up so much more. You should look into it, plus you can add a seat if you want to. I hope you get the scooter you're looking for. Also, make sure your tire PSI is 35 to 40 if you go with this one. I hope it helps you make your decision. Have a great day, and enjoy your scooter when you get it. Be safe, too.

I scooter ix8 It's just me, or I don't really see anyone talking about this scooter. For the price point, 1200, you're getting a 2200 e-scooter with pretty decent parts: good 2-piston hydraulic brakes + EABS front and rear, dual shocks, 12-inch off-road tires (not bad for being factory ones), and dual motors, 1200 watts each. The speed goes up to 65-70 km/h, and the range is pretty decent, about 50 km if you're cruising and going off-road and up hills. It goes uphill like nothing. Now, if you have the money and can spend 2500 or 3000, there are so many better choices, but I really do recommend this scooter. For what you get, you would be paying a lot more. I just wish it had a removable battery, but that's really in high-end ones that are like 3000 minimum.

Think some of you have had too many problems with i scooters; yeah, they have some bad ones. The ix8 is not garbage at all; it's better than most in the price range, and I've already been talking with customer service, and haven't had one issue at all. There are positive reviews and bad ones on anything these days. I'd like to know, have you had an ix8? Why do you say it's garbage? I'll admit most of the scooters they have, I'd pass and go with something else. The ix8 is nothing like any of their other scooters.

Yaeh and it's twice the price and you still haven't answered my question have you ever had an ix8 or tried one ?

Oh, and they answer the phone right away and have been helping me ever since I bought it. The bag it comes with had a broken zipper, and they are sending me a new one now. Did I do something to some of you like you've been traumatized? The IX8 is actually a killer scooter for 1200 Canadian dollars.

Again, you and anyone that has not had one or tried one 🙄, be quiet. I'd really like to hear from people who have an IX8 or tried one long enough to get a good feel for it, and again, I've made my point. You still haven't answered me. Just tell me about a scooter that is double the price, lol. And my IX8, for being double the price, I'd expect way better, higher-end parts. The Fighter Mini Pro, I know I'd love, but it's expensive. I actually have an IX8; it's not crap at all. My IX8 compared to Kurakin, if that's how it's pronounced, and I know several people with different models, and my IX8 beats most of them. The only drawback I see is no smart app but potential for one. I'm not sure. I do have a Bluetooth symbol, but it could just be in the display as stock. There is no removable battery, but to get this, it costs double, and it's heavy, about 80-90 pounds.

Unless you own one or have a friend that has the exact model, I think it's funny how people say a scooter is garbage. Maybe a lot of their scooters are, but the iX8 is actually a beast for the price and an extremely smooth ride. It goes up hills on a single motor like there is no hill. The transition from a smooth road to gravel or bumpy grass is very smooth. I'd like to hear from someone that actually has an iX8 scooter. I agree with one thing: almost all of the other ones I wouldn't buy. This is the only one I'd take for very good reasons.

I suggest the ix8 from iscooter! It is a double motor scooter of 1200W each, 2400W in total, 1500W on the single wheel. The price is currently on sale on Cdiscount at €650~, without promotion at €800 almost everywhere… The autonomy is announced at 65-70km restricted, really restricted we can do 50km maximum. Unrestrained is another story, everything will depend on your weight and your speed, drive at around 35-40kmh maximum, with 2.3 accelerations at 55-60kmh, weighing 80kg like me, you will do 30-40km! 4 modes are offered, a pedestrian, another peaceful, a road and finally a sport (5-15-20-25kmh). Unrestrained, that’s 15-30-45-60kmh. All this while being high thanks to its 12” wheels, 2 large headlights placed at the bottom of the stem for good lighting, and 2 large front suspensions, as well as one under the rear footrest. Hydraulic brakes to be bleed approximately every year like a bicycle… What more can I say, nothing because nothing to criticize this famous iscooter brand, well done to them! For less money, I also recommend the iscooter i10 pro, max speed of 45kmh unrestricted, 30km of unrestricted autonomy approved 🤝.

I have an ix8, but I have a problem, when I wait for 46V, impossible to exceed 30kmh and in dual (2 engine) sport mode (4)! Anyone have the same problem on their ix8?

Do ***not*** buy anything iScooter. Quality-wise we know them as the scrapings from the bottom of the barrel, and their support is known to be terrible to nonexistent. Hiboy are *somewhat* better but their low-end scooters are uncomfortable and not very safe, as they all have solid tires but no suspension on the front fork; they only start being OK above your budget. On a side note, none of these are *manufacturers* - they all import generic scooters from relatively unknown Chinese manufacturers. Only Ninebot/Segway, Niu, Brightway/Navee and a few others make their own scooters. As for suggestions: more info please. In particular, you don't specify a range - we don't know how long the trip to school is. If it's short enough - and keep in mind [the marketing lie factor](https://reddit.com/r/ElectricScooters/wiki/rangespecs) - then a Niu KQi1 or KQi 100 could be a good idea. Whatever you get, keep in mind that the tires must be pumped up to specced pressure more often than many people think - ideally weekly. A cheap bicycle pump *with a manometer* works well for this, otherwise they sell electric inflators that are more practical.

$300 wont buy even a decent scooter, must less a good one. If that is the price point you are working with, I would recommend checking the used market. I have ridden Gotrax, iScooter, Segway and eMove scooters, among others. Gotrax was complete garbage, the iScooter was decent, the Segway was built like a tank. I have mixed feelings about eMove Cruisers, which is my current ride. On the one hand the suspension is phenomenal, as is the range. But the tires, brakes and other bits haven’t lasted very long. I don’t have a ton of miles on mine, I right now need to replace both tires, possibly the brake calipers and one of the brake lines snapped for no apparent reason.
