For your budget and commute distance you don’t need anything crazy. A solid commuter model with a real 20 mile range and a decent folding mechanism will fit you fine.If you want a company that’s easy to deal with, I’ve had good experience with isinwheel. I ride one of their commuter models now and their support has actually been responsive whenever I had small issues. Something like the S10 Max fits your height and weight, folds easily and hits the range you need without being overly heavy.Check a few options during the Black Friday deals.
My isinwheel s10 max is the exact same. It's on the rear only for mine but it also has the swing arm setup....it's just locked solid though.
It's locked solid. I thought it would have some sort of suspension by the picture but nothing.
I've had this thing for a couple years. I have 2200 miles on it. I have done all the basic mechanical stuff. It's a solid frame with the same "shock" things this one has.
I had an isinwheel s10 max, the one with the fake swing arm suspension up front and the fake "shocks" on the back. Thing did 23 to 24 mph top speed. I used it to get to work. 6 mile ride there, 1 mile to train in the morning. I put 1500 miles on it in 7 months. The brake pads are at the limit but it always ran. Rain snow sleet. Thing went through a lot. I'd just ride it home sometimes in the morning also. For a cheap base model thing did alright. I upgraded to an Sr5 and the s10 max will be my winter scooter at the moment. Might get a cheap dual motor like the Ausom for the winter.
Exactly. I've owned and rode an isinwheel. Its not good. A kqui1 base model NIU or the base ninebot is the way to go.
Eat my ass bot I like all the s10 models. S10pro and s10 max are 54v 12.5ah or 15ah
I'm a big guy, 6'2", 210 lbs. with a 13 size shoe, seeking my first e-scooter. Would love a tall scooter with a wide deck that isn't TOO heavy. I was recommended the Voro Motors EMOVE Cruiser V2, but it's pretty heavy at 74 lbs. Is there anything comparable that is lighter? My budget is $2K, hoping to spend closer to 1K or less. Thanks in advance! Edit: I went with the Isinwheel S10MAX. Seems like exactly what I need: tall height, pretty large deck, and not heavy at all around 51 lbs. Has a 1000w rear motor, so not bad. I appreciate all the advice!
Isinwheel makes decent cheap scooters- I have three but the welds gave way on one but they say they've fixed the problem
A better brand than this or Roinside, and better, solid specs, could be worth $400 without suspension, especially with air tires (tubeless or split rim, or even air front only since the back is more likely to have problems). If you can only spend $400, look at isinwheel or Freeboy, avoid iscooter lots of bad press. Or a less exciting Segway or Niu to play it safe. $250 yeah maybe Roinside.
This- I bought an Isinwheel direct from their website and it came broken. They wouldn’t help me. If I bought from Amazon it would have saved me $900.
