I’m 75kg, us9 shoe size and 175cm. It has a small deck but if you rest the rear foot on the kick plate it should be fine. The Mantis King GT would have a larger deck, but again the King GT has shorter handlebars.

Xiaomi and Kaabo should have been on the list. My bad. My Xiaomi is 5 years old and still going strong.

Funny that I have owned several kaabos in the past and I still forgot to put it on the list.

I didn’t car for the battery life and the twitchy throttle on the climber. Upgraded to a kaabo mantis king and it’s night and day.

Get the Klima! I had bought the Mantis first and I hated the brakes, specifically not being able to completely turn off the regen braking. It made me feel unsafe and I returned the scooter. I then purchased the Klima where you can turn it off completely and it was a game changer.

Mantis King GT with the knobby tires could handle that no problem. I ride dirt fire roads covered in gravel and it's manageable so long as the gravel is on top of hard pack and not inches deep.

You would do better with a dual motor. I had the same problem, then I put my money where my ride is and got a Kaabo King Mantis GT. It drives better, safer and has a LOT of power. I drive a lot and realized very fast that one need a great machine to be safe. You need power when you need it and a good suspension to help when crap hits the fan (pot holes and stuff like this)

I just want to know the real-world range I can expect on the Mantis King GT with my 140 lbs. Because we apply the common “advertised range ÷ 2” rule, we get about 28 miles. That’s not much better than many scooters under $1,000. The King GT costs twice as much, and while it has nice features, the range doesn’t seem impressive. I canceled my preorder for 899 dollars Seagway Max G3 because I found from first owners that even 25 miles is a stretch for this models.

I'm a huge fan of the Mantis King GT. I do recognize that the Klima has better acceleration and suspension, but the Mantis has a higher top speed and can be folded properly. It's also lighter, and has more deck room.

NAMI, Kaabo, Dualtron and Roadrunner (not that piece of shit D4) just to name a few. If you're looking more at budget scooters, NIU and Segway are about it.

You've had a lot of experience with scooters—starting with two Apollos that unfortunately didn’t hold up well. Then you moved on to the Kaabo Mantis King GT, but had issues with the stem snapping and ended up replacing it through Voro. You also swapped out the stock shocks because they didn’t meet your expectations. After that, you went for the Roadrunner RS5 (which cost $2,000 for the 52V battery version), but it had bearing issues right out of the box. Now you're even considering replacing the shocks on that one too, since they’re not performing well either. Given all that, it's a bit surprising that you'd recommend the NIU KQi3 for around $650—it has no suspension and only a 48V 5Ah battery. Meanwhile, something like the Arwibon GT08 can be found for under $600, and it offers a 60V 27Ah battery, dual motors, larger tires, and actual suspension. It just seems like a much better value.

Never had overheating with mine and it does struggle on hills, you'll slow down pretty good. One of the reasons I upgraded to the mantis King GT

i’ve had two: kaabo mantis and splach turbo. i would recommend NOT buying off amazon. do your research there if you want, but then go directly to the manufacture site and buy from them. first of all amazon is evil, but second of all, sometimes their second party seller shit is sketchy. you’ll always get more straight forward sales help from the manufacture site. -consider if you’ll be in easy bike lanes most of the time or if your streets are a little rougher (this will help you choose the type of tire and suspension and brakes you need) -consider how long you wanna be able to go without a charge (size of battery you’ll need) -consider if you are gonna have to fold it and pick it up to walk up stairs or carry on public transit (if so, i don’t recommend one that’s over 40 or 50lb… you may think that’s just a dumbbell amount of weight but it’s awkward and annoying and wears you down quick) -consider if you want tube tires, pneumatic tires, or solid tires (google the differences - there have been other posts about this as well) -i also recommend one where the handlebars fold down if you’re gonna be taking it on public transpo -lastly…. consider how much fun you wanna have. cuz tbh my mantis could go up to 40mph and i averaged usually about 30-32 bc that’s where i felt safe in the city but goddamn that shit was fun… my splach averages at 22 and that’s safe and fine and still fast, don’t get me wrong…. but i do miss the thrill) OH AND GET THE WARRANTY - it literally saved my ass with my mantis when something in the steer shaft was buggin and basically got all my money back and got to keep the scooter. hope this helps

I’m pretty sure a good amount of people will say to put Apollo way lower, even with their newer models. Unagi is too high. I’m not even gonna lie, Unagi is just too high for my personal opinion. I have heard and seen nothing but sheer disappointment from Unagi. The only thing I like about them is that they do have some universal scooter info on their website and they allow people to test scooters first to see how they like them. Kaabo being in the same category as Varla and Gotrax surprises me… either my scooters and Gotrax scooters are better than I thought (I did put 2,045 miles on a Pegasus though, still no issues, 1,000 with V2 and still clear there), or Kaabo isn’t as great as I thought.

The suspension sucks and Kaabo basically makes up excuses to not warranty any failure should you have one. They are ok, but far from the best.
