Can confirm. I crashed my mantis many times and it never broke. Learned all my lessons on that before getting the King GTR which has also held up perfectly. (No crashes)
Kaabo king GTR here. 35ah battery. In eco mode it tops out around 18 mph. I’m 6’4” around 200 pounds and I’m confident I could make it nearly 100 miles on that scooter. But I drive fast, hard acceleration, and I still get 40-50 miles. New scooter is about $3,600 right now.
Segway is a very good brand and the only problem I’ve ever had is cracked rear rims. If I ever manage to do that to my current Kaabo GTR the rim itself is replaceable, you don’t have to buy a whole new wheel tire and motor assembly
If you have the money and want that brand go for it. You can get better performance for less, but it’s a very high quality scooter with a very well integrated app. I’ve had a few Segways, (ZT3 Pro, GT3 regular). My current scooter is a Kaabo GTR, and I’m never going back to anything else unless I want something I don’t have to care about as much.
I’ve found that Segway rear rims are quite fragile, but I may have beaten on my scooters too hard. Frequently check the tire pressure. If you have too low of pressure and hit something the bead can burp or the tire can immediately squish and damage the rim.
