I tried one of these then rushed into buying my own , I bought the Hiboy Max Pro which is 48v single motor which goes faster than the Lime rental at 35kph top speed on the flat if u weight less than 180lbs. However I was bored & frustrated with it after a few days, my area has lots of hills & going uphill just annoyed me it really struggled to the point stopping 😤 I sent it back after 2weeks . Bought myself a Dual motor Scooter….. now I can go anywhere. If u initially buy a cheaper scooter buy one that has quite few other more expensive brands of the same style of scooter like the Kukirin G3 Pro …this means it will be easier to upgrade the parts in the future if u wanted too…for me a removable battery is a deal breaker as u can take it with u & charge it anywhere. 🛴💨
r/ElectricScooters • Does anyone know what brand is the lime scooters are, I would like to to own one of them, those scooters are very sturdy, I just want one that goes a little bit faster and can go up hills. ->I purchased mine early Jan. It's certainly not "the best" but it does offer good bang for your buck.
r/ElectricScooters • Best E-Scooter between 1-2k USD ->The G3 Pro is the superior scooter. Dual motor with the strongest suspension arms, cast aluminum not stamped plate steel. Gotta have that lateral strength!
r/ElectricScooters • Best high end scooter for a tall rider ->I'm 240 I ride g3 pro kukirin takes hills great and swappable battery means you can upgrade to a higher ah or carry a extra
r/ElectricScooters • Looking for cheapest scooter I can get that can take hills (I’m 240lbs) ->The g3 is shit the g3 pro is a different scooter same brand the g3 pro I believe is manufactured by another company for kukirin
r/ElectricScooters • Looking for cheapest scooter I can get that can take hills (I’m 240lbs) ->The g3 pro is a tank G2 master cable brakes no removable battery so I don't think it's a better value the g3 pro can be purchased for 1200 it's what I payed
r/ElectricScooters • Looking for cheapest scooter I can get that can take hills (I’m 240lbs) ->Weight yeah but this is scooter 3 for me and I feel like this one will last

r/ElectricScooters • Looking for cheapest scooter I can get that can take hills (I’m 240lbs) ->Kukirin G3 Pro as the luxury pick, G2 Master as the budget pick. These things are beasts that really punch above their price point. I'd definitely recommend dual motor, even if you're not always going 40mph on it, it's handy to be able to punch it and launch when you need to.
r/ElectricScooters • Looking for the best e-scooters for commuters ->I've had mine for almost 2 weeks. I get no less than 20 miles with a mixture of dual and single motor, mostly in gear two occasionally use gear 3. Anyway, I don't live in an area with tons of hills or inclines, although most of our roads aren't flat or level. I do have a 24° incline on my way home, and all my rides include that incline twice. There are also a couple of 30° inclines. My Kukirin G3 Pro will continue speeding up while climbing the hills/inclines I've thrown at it, even able to go up the 24° in single and gain speed all be it slowly going up and slows slightly 1-2mph at ~30% in gear 2 it does struggle going up 30° inclines without being in dual motor but easily keeps it's speed solid going up. Now I've not come across an incline where I felt I needed max gear as dual usually covers it, and I'm lazy, and there's not a lot of travel in the throttle, so I keep it in gear 2 unless I'm on a 40mph road. So yeah, I'd recommend the Kukirin G3 Pro. The acceration is mad, I don't know what it costs in your region, but converting what I paid is $2,144.76, but that would also include the UKs crazy VAT
r/ElectricScooters • Reccomendations for a dual motor ->If first one is KuKirin G3PRO (or other similar brand) I would suggest you try this one. Im owner od G3PRO from KuKirin and no problems so far (1.5 year of use). It has few typical problems as every scooter on my opiniom, you have to mount wider steering, first tires change = change to branded ones like PMT Touvot or any better ones. If You have aby questions, just ask :)
r/ElectricScooters • Got my first NUI scooter a couple weeks ago from Best Buy ($650) and am returning it tomorrow. Which option should I go with for something to rip around on bike paths and my neighborhood ?? ->Also... In my opinion its good choice if you want get good budget scooter
r/ElectricScooters • Got my first NUI scooter a couple weeks ago from Best Buy ($650) and am returning it tomorrow. Which option should I go with for something to rip around on bike paths and my neighborhood ?? ->Don’t listen to other people, your girlfriend wants to get you a gift to be happy and help you out, she thought she did but it just didn’t fit the purpose so just return it & go for something with dual motor (pretty essential for hills) remember that the advertised range on scooters are in ideal conditions (eco mode on near perfect flat ground), I’m sure others will have more of a range of choices but I’ve got the kukurin g3 pro and it is great, gets me up steep hills at a good pace (same as cars tbf, in a city/outskirts) and has great range
r/ElectricScooters • Best electric scooter under $1000 ->My first scooter is KuKirin g3 Pro and It is far more powerful than this one. You get used to the speed and riding very quickly but be careful and wear safety gear.
r/ElectricScooters • Would this be a good first scooter? ->Lol 98% of scooter are made in China the other 2% are made in Korea or Japan with Chinese parts. literally pretty much all scooters or there parts are made there. Even the top brands like Dualtron, Nami, Taverun even Segway. I have owned 5 scooters over the past few years even built my own but still the most reasonable place to get parts is AliExpress and Alibaba. And when you look at sites like Amazon, Walmart, Best buy they have the same scooters and parts sold on AliExpress for 40 to 100% more money. I do tell people if they can afford to spend the extra money which most of us can't search for the scooter your looking for on the Walmart site or app and get it there(they sell the same scooters as AliExpress because they buy wholesale from Alibaba)you wouldn't think so the even sell my GT08 on the Walmart site for $300 more then AliExpress but they give you the option of buying the extended warranty. That's the only advantage to buying in the more expensive site. As a matter of fact even know I buy my scooters off of AliExpress when my last one shipped it didn't ship from china it shipped from an Amazon fulfillment center in California I assume that Arwibon probably has a deal with Amazon to save money it was even the same when I bought my X6 Pro and my Kugoo G3 pro were all sold in China and shipped from US warehouses. Let us know but I get you don't find 5 scooter that aren't made in China or made elsewhere with all Chinese parts except possibly the batteries
r/ElectricScooters • List of the best non-Chinese scooters ->BTW after a long decision run I also got a G3Pro :) The whole package and price is just hard to beat. Although I was pretty surprised how big it is. In every picture and even test videos it looked „normal“ and I expected it to be around the size of my current scooter. But that’s far from the truth. This thing is a monster compared to other regular scooters. Oh and don’t forget to check out the P settings. You can limit max speed but also set acceleration power :)
r/ElectricScooters • Finally part of the gang ->Small update from todays first ride with my Kukirin G3 Pro: that thing is powerful! Even the steepest hill were my old 1000w peak power scooter stopped working, this thing went up like it was nothing at all. I then experimented with the various P settings and found something interesting: while Unigogo/Kukirin never advertised this and basically also ignored the setting in the descriptions, this scooter actually has e-braking/regen. The PB setting allows you to set a level from 0-5 where 0 is off, 5 the highest. What it actually does is once you use the breaks the scooter will automatically kick in with additional e braking. How strong this is depends a bit on your current speed but it’s definitely noticeable especially on higher speeds it’s a strong immediate deceleration effect! In addition to this you will also notice the Volts in the display suddenly rising which of course makes sense as power is generated. In the short tests at higher speeds of 40kmh over 60v were measured. Interestingly, when using the breaks at that speed the first thing that happens is the immediate deceleration that kicks in then the effect seems to flatten out a bit when you continue breaking without letting go while at the same time the regen continues as can be seen in the display on the Volt metering. Anyone else tested this out? The manual actually talks about the PB setting but never explains anything about it. I am pretty surprised this feature actually is there as I live an area with a lot of steeper hills and regen breaking or e-breaking is something that really supports driving downhill.
r/ElectricScooters • Finally part of the gang ->Yeah I would consider it save :) Where I live there are pretty steep hilly roads on my daily commute that in some segments where impossible to drive with my old 1000w scooter (which just stopped and wasn’t able to get me up those roads). So yeah, I needed something much more powerful and with at least dual drive to be sure I can rely on the scooter handling all roads. I actually was close getting a Segway GT2 for the regen braking because the wear and tear on the brakes can be significant on such terrain here. In the end I still chose the Kukirin G3 Pro because of the price and all the good reviews. So I was very happy that I found out it actually had a regen feature that not even Kukirin talks about. As mentioned, it works as an e brake so it only kicks in if you actively break, and not if you just let go of the throttle. The settings for this range from 0 (off) to 5 (strongest). It took me some experimenting until I found out how it works as at first I was under the expectation that this setting won’t do anything because otherwise Kukirin would have surely advertised it. But it is there and it works. The regen is also surprisingly strong and seems also to be a bit dependent on your current speed where it seems to lower the breaking power when your slower or at least below a certain speed. Maybe to prevent you from stopping too fast. But besides this effect the regen or breaking power is surprisingly strong. So strong that I actually turned it down to level 3 at the moment but may test out level 2 in the future. I consider this a good thing actually. But I would say you should be aware as a driver that it’s stronger than you may expect so when braking, always lean a bit back and prepare yourself (something you should always do on scooter that go that fast and have hydraulic brakes anyway) On level 5 I found it so be actually to strong in some occasions that’s why I now selected level 3 and there’s it’s fine so far. The 5 levels should provide you with plenty of variations to find a level that feels like a nice support without over braking. What’s nice is that once you get the hang of it you can actually just pull the brakes only a little bit so that the scooter will recognize it but the hydraulic brakes do not touch. This way the e brake will kick in and starts to regen while you are rolling down a hill. Even on level 3 it is able to slow you down on steeper hills while recharging your battery (which you see as the Voltage in the display rises up). So the regen is actually impressive considering it’s not even mentioned that it exists. And that at currently level 3 of 5. I sometimes use it to gently drive down hills without actually wearing the braking pads. Level 5 can, as mentioned above, be pretty overwhelming on some rides. Especially when going downhill fast and wanting to gently decelerate to prevent sliding and suddenly when pulling the brakes just a bit the scooter will full kick in the e brake. That’s can be quit surprising so I get where the fear is coming from. It still is something you can handle but it may feel too much. But as mentioned, thats why there are 5 levels of regen so I would recommend checking that’s out to find one that feels like it not braking harder than you actually wanted. Level 3 seems to hit that for me
r/ElectricScooters • Finally part of the gang ->Small update: I experimented a bit more on a ride today. There seems to be a significant difference if your in single or dual motor when using the e brake. In single motor mode it seems to be much much smoother in its braking power. In dual motor mode it can be to much even at level 3 or 2. I would recommend gently testing out both variants so that you know how it behaves and feel. Single motor e brake is easy to handle but dual motor will break pretty hard
r/ElectricScooters • Finally part of the gang ->I agree with you on this one. After using to for a while now and retesting I am now very unsure about what and how the behavior changes. I think the only way to find out is ti conduct really specific test with the same situations and checking out the effects. In my first tests I really was under the impression that it changed something and that level was definitely more smooth than level 5. But this could have been due to circumstances I didn't realize yet. in case your able to test more specifically with single motor in all 5 levels and dual, let me know about your findings.
r/ElectricScooters • Finally part of the gang ->Kukirin g3 pro or Ausom gallop are my personal favorites. You will get 70-80 km while going 45 kph. They cost around $1300 each. They are very reliable
r/ElectricScooters • Best real range under 2000? ->I sold my g2 master in autumn 2024 to get g3pro in the summer. I got about 60 km range on second speed and single motor. G3pro is the most reliable kukirin ever made.
r/ElectricScooters • Best real range under 2000? ->Have you checked out kukirin g3 pro? It's a reliable beast.
