I tried both and the g4 feels way more comfortable / stable and bigger, the G2 master feels much more sportive The suspensions are much better on the g4, the G2 master climbs hills a bit better

I like that the g4 has 11 inch tires. I got mine up to about 36mph pretty decently fast on flat road full battery.

Too much scooter for someone who's never ridden one before. The G4 in particular is a *big* beast and likely to give you trouble just handling it, let alone at speed. Scooters give you a false sense of security because they *look* so simple and easy to ride, but they're actually quite treacherous if you have no experience; they're significantly more likely to surprise you with unexpected behaviour than bicycles, for instance. Get something slow-ish like a Ninebot G2 or an old G30, ride it for a few hundred km, then upgrade to something fast.

We tend to default on that because lots of people behave that way - see: the dudebro you've been replying to. If that's not your case we're glad, it shows you have a brain on your head, but all you have to do is say it. And the G4 is still too big as a starter, even if you ride it slowly.

Thats fair. gotrax is kinda the exception to my rant because at least they exist as a real company and you can actually get parts without praying to the amazon seller gods. i roast the 199 no name scooters because when the battery starts acting weird or a hinge gets sloppy, youre basically done. i havent ridden the gx1 but its good to hear support came through for you. thats honestly half the battle. my g4 has been solid for what it is, and even when little stuff loosened up i could actually find replacements instead of doing the zip tie engineering degree.

G4 is a little faster, but it has a single motor, meaning slower acceleration, worse hill climbing. Top speed is higher yes, but it will take a while to get there. Also, the design of the G4 is very hit or miss, some people love it, most hate it. I personally went with G2 master and I found 60kmh is plenty fast enough to eat shit if you fall, so I have no regrets, the acceleration is great, which is the most important thing for me. I usually ride around 35-45 kmh.

This. I only got my g4 because it's cheap make I would go is the ausum d8 or whatever its called. Anything over a grand should be invested in a bike. Or a car...
