So ive come to use all the escooter anbieter that exist in Munich, would love to hear other peoples thoughts. my notes: **Lime:** kinda fell off, were good when they were new, but nowadays theyre kinda expensive and constantly broken, and not having a speedometer is a little annoying, they feel slower. The handlebar is weirdly far down and curved, not for me. The no-parking zones are mapped really lazily in some areas, and they make weird noises while driving sometimes. **Dott:** theyre okay, get the job done. They have all the basics (okayish suspension, speedometer, indicators) but theyre often quite worn down. **Bolt (Old):** the old fleet is pretty bare bones, but they have the best prices so i cant complain, theyre also the most manoeuvrable of all options since theyre the lightest/thinnest. The clown sound effect it plays when you brake too hard is also pretty funny. **Bolt (New):** Bolt used to kinda be the holzklasse of the options, but with the new fleet theyve introduced theres literally no downsides, best prices, all the features, wide standing platform. Theyre also the only ones that can push to 22 km/h, which makes a suprising difference (you can overtake others which is always fun). My ONLY complaint is the ridges on the gas pedal, can get uncomfortable on a longer ride. They also make a really satisfying noise when braking, sound a bit like a spaceship or electric sports car. Always my first choice. **Voi:** only tried them as of recently. They have by far the strongest acceleration, which takes some getting used to. They arent the most comfortable imo, the handlebars have too much texture and the indicator is not intuitive, unlike the others where its just an on/off switch. They have good prices though, and theyre no-parking policy/mapping is the most lenient. Good for getting as close to events and the innenstadt as possible.

You're too harsh to Lime, they actually have the best top speed. But if it doesn't fit you, then yeah, nothing you can do about that. I have the same problems with old Bolt, they're just too short for me, so I never used them.

Tried Bolt today. Driving over cobblestone was unpleasant. They felt as if they were falling apart. Was driving Lime before, but cancelled them because they're an American company. But those were more comfortable. Maybe I just got a bad scooter.

What about Tier? I only use Tier since it has a wider zone (at elast where I live). Their prices were the best until Voi also decided to be available in our zone. I never found any broken scooters, I faced some IT issues few times and their customer support is very responsive and they always give you a compensation for the troubles Lime is also available but they are expensive and I faced issue with the scooters few times Bolt is definitely the worst.. they are slow and they put a lower speed limit for when i am crossing a park which makes the ride super long

I tried all three and like Bird the best. Cheapest rates, and their app was easy to set up and navigate. I also slightly prefer the Bird scooters (vs lime, neuron) as they felt heavier and sturdier, resulting in smoother ride, but they were all largely the same though

In my area, lime is the only option as other scooters don't cover my area of town - we're too far out, it seems. I use them occasionally when I can't be bothered to cycle (cold, wet...) to or from the nearest sbahn /ubahn station at Moosach, or when I've been unable to cycle due to an operation or other injury (I've had a bit of a run of bad luck in that regards in the last 18 months ) The individual ride prices are expensive, with a flat rate "unlock charge " and per minute charge , so I'd really think first before doing that. However, their day/week/28 day passes are pretty good value. Currently, their ebikes don't have the unlock charge, so are quite useful.

Lime Pass is a good deal though, paying 30€ for 280 minutes every 3 weeks and the freedom is amazing. How are the other companies doing on that aspect? Ah and people who park them like shit suck, e-scooters are a great way of going around the city and they ruin that for everyone. It's not that hard.

I prefer the Lime scooters over this. They have shocks. I can’t respond to speed as I think they’re similar. Lime might be a little faster.
