For me best scooter for city commute - Minimotors DUALTRON ULTRA 2 72v, i weight 90kilos, and it has no limiter, using no battery save option , only regen brake at 50% , so i get about 100\~130km range until 20% , then goes eco mode so im putting it on cgarge then , it needs 2 chargers connecting , so thats con maybe, but 5 hours only till it gets fully charged. Pros - two bldc motors, 3320w each , very flexible for adjusting settings. Enough for me to get insane acceleration in turbo mode and is possible to accelerate to 50mph uphill easily , battery is made from lg cells and has 35ah capacity . For me in my city where everything is in 10\~12km range is more than enough. I made few modifications so i can for sure drive in rain i don’t mind about water to damage anything . It also has abs option so braking is more confident at rainy conditions . Weights a lot, costs a lot . But product - perfect for its value and purpose. https://preview.redd.it/n6fl4wupyw9f1.png?width=2192&format=png&auto=webp&s=c58ce363f1759d6a8f6d6e0d75c02c4c9d95dae2
dualtron , has the best batteries out there. I have an (ultra 2) and love it. I bought mine 2yrs ago , and now other scooters are slowly been creeping up to my specs, Even e-bikes. Having a 84hz battery , which is the entire reason I bought it. One thing about mine , fixing it is not great . It’s more my model, so make sure you have a good scooter shop. placed over 6,000 miles on it and had some hiccups , but other than that, it’s been good. I use my ultra 2 for work and back. The dial , shows 100%. i still can see the actual battery , and second motor will not turn off. The price is a little high on this. I bought my ultra 2 on a huge sale. But , mine was 2,500 .. no car payment , no registration, no insurance , no heavy maintance . All my maintenance is 300.00 and that is every 9months. More the tires, brakes , and mine put the worst kickstand on . Even though I can go fast .. I don’t. any scooter gets unsteady, I like30-35 mph … which I’m driving on roads. I keep mine at number 2 with second motor. . dualtron is good for that zero -30 rush , it’s amazing. But, if you are not watching cars and roads and looking for speed and racing on real roads , you will flip. I get the speed but, unless a newly paved flat road and withoutone dip then sure go your 50, but Cops are more likely to pull you over being “reckless “ with a scooter.
Dualtron Thunder or Ultra are pretty solid for that kind of power and parts availability. Minimotors has decent support and you can find third party stuff for most components. The suspension bits are where you might have some headaches though - those proprietary shock setups can be pricey to replace Avoid the no-name Chinese brands if you want long term parts support, learned that the hard way
Yeah, it's preventing the battery from sagging roo much. My dualtron ultra has the same size battery and liked to deplete quickly when pushing those top speeds. The scooter should've been 84v tbh if it wanted to push the advertised speeds
Reliable and durable? Segway G2 (22 mph) G3 (28 mph) E3 Pro (20 mph) Slightly less reliable, very durable and with a good battery life that goes a little over 30 mph: Kaaabo Manthis x plus Want reliable, durable, with good batttery and don’t mind paying premium for it? Dualtron is as good as it gets. Also Nami
Segway G3 max if you want something solid, reliable, with good features. People will recommend cheaper brands but the problem is the polish really isn't there, and they have genuine durability issues. I own a dualtron. It's fast yes, but it's very noisy and rickety. I recommend Segway the most. The max g3 is my current daily. the ZT3 pro got some good reviews the F3 is well equipped for the price The e3 pro is unbeatable for the price. I recommend spending as much as you *can* spend reasonably. Scooters are the absolute best between 1000-2500$. Beyond 2500 isn't worth it. Under 1000 is a gamble but Segway has options. Also note: Please, when you get one, charge it ALL the way, then eide until it's COMPLETELY dead, for the first 3 times. I've had cells flat multiple times because they sit in the store warehouses so long. After that you should be able to use it however you like. What happens is it'll show it's charged way before it actually is, and will seem to die absurdly fast.
Dualtron 2000 euro kukirin is the half of this price , now the more Chinese companies go to scooters dualtron will disappear if the prices stay so high
These scooters are good to get your feet wet. If you really enjoy riding it, then you go for the Dualtron, Nami, etc. You'll def feel the difference.
OP go with a Tifgalop. I have 1 at almost 3k miles. Works perfectly. I have a T88plus and a K8. The T88plus I bought second-hand. The previous owner wrecked it so I reached out to Tifgalop and they hooked me up with new parts free. Just paid shipping. Once the new parts came in I hooked them up according to what the rep said via WhatsApp. It ended up firing my system. They sent me a whole new everything. From horn to battery, headlights, motors, turn signals. I mean everything except the frame. So I bought it secondhand for $200 told them I wasn't the original owner. Now I have a T88plus brand new besides frame. Their customer support is above all others. I also have a Dualtron and working on a weped.
look into the wolf king series from kaabo. King gt and gtr are amazing and hit 60+ in seconds very easily. Have a decently long range too. I’d suggest Dualtron but that’s overpriced bs. (i had a bad experience on a Dualtron and from then on i do not suggest them to people). Teverun and bluetran are also pretty good. For the highways i use either my big boy standing scooter (75mph) or my big boy sit down scooter (125mph)
