Also ride the Niu kqi3 pro, but at around 7,000km, its battery degradation is making me use it less now. City pro’s 21700 cells seem pretty resilient to degradation. Also my Nami Klima Max (odo: 1000km) requires more maintenance than City Pro by quite a margin.
The turn signal thing is odd… but the best scooter I think you can get for 40mph is the Nami Klima (or the Nami Klima Max if you want more range.) it’s about 2k and it has some of the fastest acceleration, beating out scooters twice the price. You’re giving up top speed for insane low end torque and acceleration but since 40mph is ok for you, than this is the perfect scooter. You have to cancel the turn signals yourself and most scooters are like that. Some scooters have a time limit to turn off, I don’t know of any turn signal that detects you’re leaning into a turn and turns off that way… You’re also never going to use the turn signal… I constantly forget to turn mine on. That’s just my two cents. Edit: also not to mention that even though you don’t care about portability or weight, this scooter is still only 79lbs. This is nice for a nimble riding experience, as well as nice for the occasional lifting.
Yeah I thought speed wasn't going to be much for me as I wanted better acceleration. After owning a Nami Super Stellar, which is a mini Klima, I can see how/why people want to go 50-60mph. It makes a huge difference when you're on a really stable platform with really good suspension. You won't be phased going 40mph on the Klima because of how smooth and comfortable it is with the adjustable KKE hydraulic suspension. 40mph is definitely enough speed, and even with that being said, I rarely travel at my 35mph top speed just because it isn't necessary most of the time. It's not that its scary, these scooters are incredibly stable, even going downhill at 42mph. I would definitely go for the Klima, save yourself about 2k and you wont be disappointed. But personally I'd spend the extra \~$300 and go for the Klima Max, just so you can get that extra boost in range since your budget is 4k anyway. Also as batteries drain, you get less performance, so you'll get more performance for longer with the 30Ah battery, versus the 25Ah in the base model.
So I finally got my hands on this Super Stellar that I've been thinking about pulling the trigger on since mid March. There was so much research that was done in order to make sure I was getting the perfect scooter (for me.) Let me tell you... I did just that. After talking to other Nami owners through reddit and other groups, I kept getting the same two answers. Either I was told to pay the extra $400 to get the Klima, or to go for another scooter entirely. All because of the spring suspension and 9" tire combo, or that the "Klima is so much faster." I now know that clearly anyone who said that had never ridden a Super Stellar before. This is one of the smoothest scooters I have ridden despite the small tires. I will admit I have only ever owned a handful of NIU scooters from the KQi2 to the KQi3 Max. However, I have ridden a Klima before, and some other mid tier scooters like the L2 Max, Apollo Go, and the Ninebot Max G2. Although the Klima is "better" by definition, don't sell the super stellar short. For a scooter that is only 66lbs, this thing packs a hell of a punch. It's very powerful, it rides extremely smooth, and has a phenomenal range. Do NOT let the 9" tires or spring suspension deter you from choosing this scooter. This is the absolute perfect scooter for the person who has been riding a commuter style scooter for a year or two, and is looking for something that's still practical and portable, but carries the performance of a heavier, larger scooter. Alternatively, this is also an amazing first step into sport scooter territory offering tons of customization to allow yourself to grow into it. For someone who is riding a scooter with basic or no suspension and is looking to get their first dual motor scooter with a real premium riding experience, this is a top option. I just wanted to share my thoughts on this scooter as I'm absolutely in awe of how great this thing actually is, and that it deserves more attention than it gets. For those of you looking for something in this category I can HIGHLY recommend. Keep in mind I know there are scooters with similar performance for less money, but you wont get a premium quality scooter like you will with Nami. This scooter has the same build quality as the Klima in every way. Nami knows what they are doing and I personally think it's worth all $1,699 I spent. By the way, this is not sponsored in any way, I just wanted to share my honest opinion to those potentially looking for the same thing I was.
Yeah man, the Klima was just too big for me. The thing was 80lbs and I needed something that could easily be put in the back seat of my car. It’s probably too similar to the Klima to justify having both. But maybe a Burn-E and Super Stellar combo would be sick. Super Stellar for commutes and Burn-E for recreation.
I don’t think I’ve seen any direct comparisons tbh. It’s really fast though, like the acceleration isn’t up to par with the Klima, but the thing rips. I never have thought “wow I really wish I had more power” specially in turbo mode. I completely understand being addicted to speed and acceleration and not wanted to downgrade but this thing is a little beast. Its a “super commuter” if you will. I came from a KQi3 Max so it makes it even more crazy than it already is. I’m loving every second of this scooter and I’m itiching to get it out any second I have the chance.

Nami scooters are the best. Get a Burn E 2
I saw someone mention Nami, and I completely agree. I love my Nami, and I love not having to connect an app even just to record my trip, or the miles of the scooter. You can just use the app to set the scooter up, and then never use it again. However… With my old NIU scooter, there were features that you just wouldn’t be able to use without the app. For example, the most important feature (to me) that I think blows that it requires the app. The electronic locking.. I would be able to hold the power button on the scooter for 5 seconds and it would lock the scooter so if anyone tried to move it the E-brake would engage, and it would start beeping. I used this in conjunction with a physical lock. But without your phone, you wouldn’t be able to unlock the scooter again. Some other more useless features that maybe you might care about would be scooter mileage, trip miles, or a battery percentage. Most low-end commuters don’t tell you the percentage on the screen, just bars or dots representing 10-20%. So if you want to know the specific percent, you have to use the app. I don’t know how much you care about any of those features, but it’s worth mentioning.
i have a nami klima max since 2023 (3rd summer with it) and honestly its such a blast. its got good torque and acceleration on "c" and "x" modes plus you can also toggle a turbo mode. it goes about as fast as i would go with relatively good gear (non-moto) and is built like a tank. check it out, maybe even go for a burn-e if you feel like it wont be enough. i'm keeping this one its such a good city machine
Just buy a Segway Ninebot and don't bother with all the other brands. Their scooters are made to be easy to use, have lots of features and are easy to get fixed if anything happens. I have a Ninebot Max G2 and a Nami Klima Max. My Nami is great, but budget wise it is not at all in the same category to buy nor to maintain. Get a Ninebot Max G3 and just enjoy.
I just got the klima max and it’s the best money I’ve ever spent
I'll highly suggest a Nami Klima (I have a Nami Klima Max). It goes through roads like that, even the third one pictured and full gravel ones like child's play. The suspension on the front & back is adjustable, the build quality is super high and it feels amazing to ride on while wearing a full face helmet as well (the inner top part of the helmet won't hurt your head since the majority of impacts will be absorbed).
What a beast of a scooter it is! I rode for that long, including at top speed for a while/uphill & it still had 40% battery left when I got home! The LG premium battery cells are remarkable. Regen breaking turned off, by the way (for much smoother/controlled breaking). Super high build quality, torque, good top speed (40mph) and the suspension… I feel almost like Aladdin on a flying carpet. The battery duration is insane for a scooter of its weight & width (79lbs/36kg). I can't recommend it enough. I had a Solar P1 Pro before and although it could go faster (53mph), the build quality was crap in comparison. My advice for everyone looking to buy an e-scooter: don't blindly go for specs vs price when choosing — pick something you know it's reliable, well made & praised by riders.
Thanks for the suggestion! 🛞 😎 I heard their grip is incredible and they increase ride comfort too because of the superior materials used. I'll for sure get a pair when my tires get worn out. Question: I ride on gravel & trails/dirt too. Will they perform acceptably on those or are they street only recommended? I avoid wet mud, sand and grass when possible.
Thank you! I've never depleted the battery fully on all my outings with this e-scooter, which is awesome, but just so you have an idea, yesterday, I rode around 40 miles & the battery was drained by 63%, according to the display. I weight 190lbs & I'm 5'10" tall. The ride was mostly asphalt, a good amount of "stop and go", hard accelerating sometimes, some hills here & there, a tiny bit of drifting, many trails with heavy gravel & maintaining top speed when I was heading back home on a main road (38mph - 40mph), including holding the throttle down uphill. I use one mode for everything, which I've customized, so I never have to change between them. I also always set both tires pressure to 50psi before riding — having the correct tire pressure before every ride helps immensely with great range & safety.
I don't ride like crazy most times, so the lower speeds counted as a good part of yesterday's ride. The asphalt here is really good & I took a pathway next to train tracks, which includes long distances in a straight line. I put the distance on Google maps and it checks out at 40 miles. A scooter's display isn't perfectly accurate also — it could show "37%", but last 30% or less depending on how I'd ride if I went on for longer. All things considered, I was surprised anyway!
It's all good, it happens. Yes, 40 miles of riding cost me 63% of the 100% charge my battery had, so I was left with close to 40% (37%). I ride mostly for the fun, pretty views, exploring & finding challenging places. Now that I know I can ride for 4h and still have almost 40% left, it makes me wonder how much longer I could go. According to AI, between 5h and 50 minutes and 6h and 20 minutes! 😵 Probably lower, but still amazing.
I agree that the Nami looks good in its original matte black color, but the last thing I want is to be semi-invisible, specially at night, sideways & from behind. There are lots of old people driving where I live who can't see well/go on top of the bike lane often. Black is the worst color after sunset and this one is matte! So it reflects even less light & makes it even worse. The reflective stickers made a massive difference when it comes to drivers keeping their distance from me and seeing me from afar, both at night & during the day (since they're colored) from any angle. I saw a scooter rider at night the other day (when I was driving) & he had a Nami Klima too. I was surprised on how little he & the scooter were visible from behind with no stickers, extra lights or high-vis vest/jacket (just wearing a regular hoodie) — he almost disappeared into a not too far distance, being mostly just a very tiny, fading red dot. My sight is really good, by the way, at 20/10 and I'm a professional driver. All the diamond grade reflective stickers are removable in case, let's say I want to upgrade again & sell it, but I'm definitely keeping them, giving the amount of difference they've made. https://preview.redd.it/so1nh293qfpg1.jpeg?width=6120&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e92dd2a9b48cca1d13195c2d3e470abc6e2dc8e3
I bought my Nami Klima max on december, 2025. I started with short rides on it, but now I've been doing extremely long ones (5h+) and I've put another 100+ miles on it. Most posts about it might be old, but it's still a very relevant scooter in 2026. I don't think you'll regret your purchase at all. Its build quality is extremely high, both the front & rear suspensions are great, adjustable, can be very soft and with regenerative braking turned off, braking super smoothly and having control of the scooter is a breeze both on asphalt & gravel alike. Because of its profile & size, it won't get you weird looks or people thinking it's a "weird motorcycle" on trails which I like as well. Even locking it up is safer than locking many scooters since you can run locks (like the Foldylock Elite I use) or a chain between the neck & stem of its one-piece welded tubular aircraft-grade aluminum alloy frame, which can't be simply unscrewed or disassembled. It has mostly "pros" & the only cons I could find were: 1 – The stem doesn't lock to the body when folded, so you can fold it, but the neck will be moving from side to side when carrying; 2 – When regenerative braking is turned on, even on the lowest level settings (1/5), braking can be excessively sensitive to the point of it being dangerous/jerky. Turning it off absolutely changes that for the better and you can also coast longer, which I do plenty of; 3 – You can't remove the battery, but this is only a con for some people. This way, you have a stronger frame, better weatherproofing, better handling, more reliable connections and increased security since the battery can't be easily stolen while it's locked up. By the way, I always ride with both the front & rear suspensions set to max softness. Make sure to not attach heavy things high on the stem or you'll get a bit of instability at higher speeds; attachments lower on it work very well and are useful if you don't want to feel hot carrying a backpack around. https://preview.redd.it/dclq7btux3wg1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b95d82d4c07ce4fa81639641dee6d62bbc2abfbc
You're welcome. Then, you're going to absolutely love it. Nami e-scooters are a cut above the rest. It feels like a sleeper e-scooter — it's not very thick or big, not very heavy, not crazy colorful, but packs a punch when it comes to acceleration, uphill ability (70%+!) and battery duration. I specially like riding it on unknown roads full of gravel or dirt. 😁
Since you have zero experience with e-scooters, I'll mention that the brakes are reversed — the left lever controls the rear brake and the right lever does the same with the front one. If you have to brake very hard and quickly, put around 70% force on the rear and 30% on the front ones (squeeze more with your left hand) and crouch down a bit with your butt closer to the deck. By doing that, your center of gravity will move to the rear and the scooter won't flip over. It's a very easy learning curve for everything, just take it slow and learn it with time (things like leaning or turning left/right, front/rear weight shifting, stance & how to accelerate without the wheels spinning). Yes, bigger wheels usually means they're better vs potholes & bumps, but the Nami's amazing suspension more than makes up for most of them. Wet mud is an e-scooter biggest enemy, in my experience. Try to avoid potholes as much as you can and learn a simple skill which is jumping with the scooter, even if it's just with the front tire; more often than not, that will be easier while going in a straight line instead of just trying to swerve around things on the last second. Turn off the turbo, as you won't ever need it (and it unnecessarily drains battery). I used one mode for everything, which I've customized and I recommend that you do that as well to simplify the riding experience (no changing modes while riding). Never take one hand off the grips when riding, as you'll be asking to fall if you do — this is very different than an e-bike or motorcycle, unless you have a steering damper installed, but the Nami really doesn't need one and not getting it will save you over $100 in a custom bracket + the damper itself.
Used Nami Klima max.
If you can go slightly above the $2k. The Nami Klima 30ah is a good option it’s quick for a 60v scooter has sine wave controllers it has tubeless tires I have it’s big brother the burn e max 40ah it has close to 20,000 miles on it it’s easy to work on as the wiring is plug and play there isn’t The spaghetti rats nest of wires that Many scooters have
Get a Nami Klima as far as carrying scooters up stairs most people try to do it the WRONG Way using their arms there is a far better way get a 1inch wide flat nylon strap and tie it to the frame right behind the steering then tie the other end to the rear of the scooter and then place the strap over your head on the opposite shoulder from the scooter if you have the length right when you stand up straight it will lift the scooter 6-7 inches off the ground then you can place the front wheel on the first stair step up and move it to the next stair repeat until you are at the top use a knot that you pull on the end to release I take my Nami burn e a 100+ lb scooter Up two flights of stairs Everyday using this method this uses your skeleton to support the weight and your leg muscles to lift the scooter with .
It depends on what your wanting to do a scooter can be quicker than a bike it’s acceleration is better it’s top speed can be higher though you generally will want to spend a bit more than $1800 a Nami Klima is a good option though I recommend going with the larger battery it’s $2299 the base model is $1999 there is the Nami blast which is $2999 it has a much bigger battery is a72 volt scooter and has power and acceleration for days you can go a long way on it if you go slowish 18mph you can go over 60 miles. It will climb any hill you want I have the burn e max same power and battery that I climb to the tops of mountains on I have over 16,000 miles on that one with a scooter you have to be very careful of hazards like potholes rocks etc as small wheels don’t fare well with those . E scooters are insanely fun especially when you have one that is built to be fast with a long range . The claimed range is not what. You will get you need to cut it by 1/3 minimum being a heavy rider id cut it in half so a scooter that claims 100 miles will get around 50 riding it normally less if you really push it hard .more if you take it easy . A e bike is slower but is more stable you can. Let go of the handlebars on a bike and ride along just fine a scooter this will result in you doing a faceplant if you try it a bicycle is more forgiving of hazards the large wheels will roll over most potholes and you can be a bit more relaxed while riding than you can on a scooter where you have to pay 100%attention 100% of the time I ride both bikes and scooters though the scooters are my favorite for most of the time I’m a adrenaline junkie and the scooters fill that need for me the burn e and blast are hyper class scooters ie extreme performance class the Klima is a high performance scooter though not in the hyper class . having more power than you need is always preferred as you don’t have to use it but it’s there if you need it if you have a scooter that is underpowered there is nothing you can do hills are a struggle and they are slow with scooters like the burn e and blast you can fly up hills like they aren’t even there get a full face motorcycle helmet no I’m not joking. Heavier riders need more power it’s just physics I’m around 225-230 with my backpack more battery and more power is always a good thing there’s nothing worse than not enough battery and not enough power should you opt for the blast just don’t or with any scooter for that matter put it on it’d max settings and floor it to see what it can do it’s a bad idea . I hope this was useful for you Wyrdryds has the Klima and the blast though I think they are low on stock with the larger battery Klima
84 hz battery does nothing for your Argument in Any Ways dualtrons are good scooters but their refusal to switch to sine wave controllers until just recently isn’t a good thing I had a storm and hated it as its power with very Little control over it square wave Controllers are loud they Are jerky they beat you to death jerking around I have over 17,000 miles on one of my Nami’s virtually silent glass smooth starting out acceleration excellent ride quality and it’s super easy to change any component that could fail as everything is plug and play no rats nest of wires as is the case with many scooters .
