Both of these are absolute garbage. Get him a niu, ninebot, or navee. The lowest models are around the same price roughly.

Pretty sure everything's made in China and some brands even made in the same factory...if you didn't know a lot of the brand/non branded stuff you see in stores..from tools to food are made in the same factories 😂 Rant aside, I've had good experiences with Navee and Ausom, recently I bought a non-known scooter from Aliexpress for $490, I've gps tested it at 35mph. So far so good with all my scooters.
