# NIU KQi 100P Electric Kick Scooter 17.4 mph | 18 miles. On sale now for $379 or you can pick one up at Best Buy. My son got one for college. If folds easy and has one of the quickest and easiest latches for carrying that I have seen. It also has better tires than many in this price range and has front suspension. I like that the front of the deck is open framed so that he can run a chain through to lock it up outside since students aren't allowed to bring scooters into the classrooms. It seems lighter than the Hiboy KS4 Pros which we also have.
I don't have this issue on my KQI 100P. I added to the app, got a new phone, and never logged into that app again. It constantly gets jostled around and rolled around in the garage.
Test it in person. I have friend who is 5'1" 90lbs ... and a 40lbs scooter is too much for the her. She ended up picking up a NIU KQi2 which was just a hair over 40lbs. Her bf picked up the ETWOW GT (specifically the fluidfreeride version) - and that was much more manageable in weight and size for her. She was more easily able to take it up her porch steps leading into her apartment as its both more compact (less unweildy) and way lighter. But its significantly less of a real scooter. They both hated it, especially handlebar ergonomics (they're short). I also have the ETWOW GT and a NIU KQI 100p (last year's FOTM budget scooter). And they are worlds apart in ease of carry. But the ETWOW GT Sport is.... full of compromises. It needs to be tested. If you need to haul it and lift it - reconsider or test carrying a scooter of that weight up and down your area. Its painful to swing it around - having it bang against the side of your body. And at nearly half your body weight - difficult to balance and maneuver. If its too much you'll end up using it less than you want. If its something you can roll straight out of your garage and never fold it - grab whatever you need. Also keep in mind that lighter scooters are easier to maneuver - you can lift the back or front end and turn it. While heavier scooters, you may see yourself doing K turns/multi point turns (off the scooter) just to turn it around.
Bought a Niu KQi 100P to replace my other scooter that didn’t last 2 weeks ( Name Hapali ) Can immediately tell the build quality is 💯 better kinda wishing I have bought this one before but we all try to stay cheap sometimes Lest just hope this one last longer then 2 months so I can less break even base on how much Uber will cost me a month Note: the Second image is the shit brand in question that didn’t last 2 weeks
Yep it a big difference for 1 the kick off is a lot better an it maintains a decent sleep when going up the hill on my way to work
I'd definitely second the NIU KQI100P, solid choice in that price range. Just make sure to factor in any potential duty fees if you're ordering from outside Canada since that can bump up the final cost pretty quick
What about Niu 100P on prime days/sale days? Got mine for 279€. I also had an almost non existent budget
I personally have the NIU 300p and fits most of these requirements besides that it’s roughly $600. My wife also has the 100p but that ones range is not nearly the same as the 300p.
