For 529 dollars you can get the Niu 200F. I have it and have no issues.

I bought a used 1plus s10 scooter from a co-worker. My ride home is about 5.1 miles and hilly. Going up the hills I was only getting to about 5-6 mph. Also I'm about 190 lbs with a backpack on. I bought the Niu 200f and same ride home I get around 13-15 mph on those same hills. Too me it was worth the upgrade. I paid $529 for it. I was averaging around 18- 23 mph on flat surfaces. Driving strickling on asphalt. Each way is 5.1 miles. Going to work is flat or downhill. Coming home is flat and uphill. I've only had it about 2 weeks now but I'm satisfied with it.

I recently got the Niu KQi 200F. I haven't had any issue. It is very safe and rides smoothly. Max speed is around 19 and battery like is preety good. It is onsale for 529 now. My second choice was a Segway and if the Niu wasn't on sale would probably get a Segway.

Between zt3 and Max g3 for me haha I see on a segway video zt3 tires are self heckling but claims on reddit that they aren't. G3 is 300 more too waiting on that pre order pricing to come back. Bought a niu 200f but it had a faulty control box I think kept throwing brake code or motor phase code snd nothing was wrong just had to reset returned it was gonna get the same but want something more reliable and more than 8 to 10 miles and 7 hour charge time

How is your apollo scooter holding up over been doing lots of research and the city 2024 looks great on paper but I've read about a lot of stem issues said to be fixed after February third but the voices on reddit that get issues are loud around appllo scooters. How has aftersale support been? Keep running back to the roadrunner rs5 max, vmax v4 2025. And segway max g3. Max g3 has option for external battery which I really like. Overwhelming amount of scooters. My first scooter was the niu 200f but unfortunately the one I got from Amazon had a bad control box and was throwing brake codes or motor codes but no actual issues. Returned that one and have wanted a faster scooter since as 19mph I kept missing all the green lights

cut the range in half and don't expect any aftermarket/replacement parts available. Commuting? Maybe. Hills? Nope, unless you're as light as a feather 🪶 that being said, NIUs are also ugly as sin, (seriously, who's in charge of design?) but the quality is good, better than the average unknown brand scoot for sure. in the end I vote: NO

I’d suggest going for the KQI 200f or KQI 300f. It’s got everything you need plus great build quality all for under $800, especially with sales. I have the KQI 2 pro and I’m very happy with it but those models I listed are a step up in quality with higher speed and suspension!

Thank you. I was searching for more info and finding little on the E3 yet. I'm a first time buyer too, I'm also older but grew up skateboarding so maybe I still have basic skills? These look SO fun that I decided to buy one and find out... hopefully not in the FAFO context. My primary critera is portability, the folded size and carry weight must be compatible with me transporting it in the car without taking up all the room, that's my dog's job. Secondly I worry about hills, then a smooth ride, lastly is cost. Speed and distance don't matter, I'm just going to play around a bit not commute or race or anything. I REALLY wanted an E3, it checks pretty much all the boxes but it seems unavailable in the US for an unknown duration, and I'm impatient so I started looking at others. The folding handlebars on the NIU 100F caught my eye and I started to order it from Prime, but at the last minute instead ordered the 200F for the slightly stronger hill abilty. It was on-sale for $549, then they offered another 10% bringing it to $494.10. I had some credit card points I applied, and final bill was $88. Amazon says it will be a week to arrive though, which ironically puts it just after my first appointment with a knee surgeon... yeah, I calling it a mobilty assistance device 😆

Niu 200F is a reliable, affordable, easy to store e-scooter that also meets your speed and range requirements. It has good lights and turn signals, and can ride in the rain. It gets excellent 'first time scooter buyer' recommendations from various sources. You can order it from Amazon or directly from NIU on their website, delivery in the US is about a week. I ordered one during Prime days and it arrives later today 😊 https://shop.niu.com/products/niu-kqi-200f-foldable-handlebar-electric-scooter

Niu Kqi 100p or 100f (or if the price is right a 200 or 300) and a sticker pack. Just sticker the hell out of it and make it as cute as you like. I wanted a scoot for quick trips (a mile or two tops), and I didn’t want to spend a ton on something I’d use once in a while. Basically I wanted an alternative to rentals, I figured I might as well own one. The Niu scooters kept coming up as one of the only worthwhile options well under $500. There are always open box deals to be had, I scored mine (Kqi 100f) for $240 shipped and it was brand new, hadn’t been out of the box. At full retail, it’s $379 I believe. Decent brand, suspension, 9.5” inflatable tires, 17mph and 18mi range. (The 200 and 300 models are 20mph + 30mi range) That’s all I needed, and at under $300 I’m super happy with it. Doesn’t feel cheap or shoddily built at all imo, Niu makes a bunch of much more expensive scooters and the 100 seems built like just a base model of its pricier siblings.

That is a well written summary. The biggest difference is range and power, and the right choice very much depends on your use case and what range you need for daily commutes and whether there are any hills in your area. Same is true when you go from the KQi200 to KQi300, bit more range and power difference.

I just got the Niu 200 for $349 last week at Best Buy. It's back to $400 now but it does go on sale.
