UK market must be more expensive. KQi1 Sport? It's the same as the KQi1 Pro but it doesn't fold. If you don't necessarily need it to do that, you save a bunch of money over the simpler hinge. You can still separate the stem and fold it up for transportation, but it requires tools; it's not practical to do outside the bus or something. A while ago it used to sell for €180; I assume prices are up by now but it should still be within your budget. I think it's the chepaest scooter actually worth buying. There's a bunch of cheapies sold on Aliexpress and such, but there are good reasons we don't recommend them: https://reddit.com/r/ElectricScooters/comments/1gtbsr2/cheap_m365_knockoffs_currently_being_discounted/ If you can't pay even for a KQ1 Sport, then a basic bicycle is probably a better idea than scraping the bottom of the scooter barrel.

Very weak. Look up the Ninebot F series (F25/F35), Niu KQi1, Niu KQI 100P/F.

Do ***not*** buy anything iScooter. Quality-wise we know them as the scrapings from the bottom of the barrel, and their support is known to be terrible to nonexistent. Hiboy are *somewhat* better but their low-end scooters are uncomfortable and not very safe, as they all have solid tires but no suspension on the front fork; they only start being OK above your budget. On a side note, none of these are *manufacturers* - they all import generic scooters from relatively unknown Chinese manufacturers. Only Ninebot/Segway, Niu, Brightway/Navee and a few others make their own scooters. As for suggestions: more info please. In particular, you don't specify a range - we don't know how long the trip to school is. If it's short enough - and keep in mind [the marketing lie factor](https://reddit.com/r/ElectricScooters/wiki/rangespecs) - then a Niu KQi1 or KQi 100 could be a good idea. Whatever you get, keep in mind that the tires must be pumped up to specced pressure more often than many people think - ideally weekly. A cheap bicycle pump *with a manometer* works well for this, otherwise they sell electric inflators that are more practical.

r/ElectricScootersIs the iSinwheel S Nova (base model) any good?

Exactly. I've owned and rode an isinwheel. Its not good. A kqui1 base model NIU or the base ninebot is the way to go.

r/ElectricScootersWhat are the MOST reliable E-scooters out there, with budget as less of a concern?

Can vouch for NIU. I use the KQI1 for university, it’s my most abused ride. Daily use during the semester, full discharge, full charge, left on 0 and 100 for weeks, ride through the dirt and rocks & riding the campus on flat tires. Still kickin it two years later I’ve got my moneys worth but should probably give it some love soon.. it deserves it lol

I do not door dash, but i do travel to pick up fast food with my scooters. I bought a food delivery bag/backpack...carries 4 drinks, 4 pizzas. You need 2 motors, 5000W+ for taking hills at 30+. You need dual suspension and model that takes a steering dampener, mirrors because anybody movement with backload is super dangerous. Get an offroad scooter for taking shortcuts. I have 3 foldable scooters: an apollo go, a niu kick, and a Reddydy RD2. I use the rd2 in single motor mode most of the time and get around 50 miles per charge. Another thing to note, is that I wish this one had a regen break, very good for hilly areas.

r/ElectricScootersDoes a budget electric scooter make more sense than a motorized bike?

As a fan of AliExpress since before Amazon sold more than just books, I still wouldn’t buy a rideable from there. You want some level of reliability and good reputation. For your budget, you’ré looking at Niu kqi or Inmotion products. Way less maintenance and better value than any ebike or diy kit. I use all the PEV’s and generally recommend an escooter for most people thinking they want an ebike. If they can get away with the range, escooter is way better value. For $1,000, you get a junky ebike but a pretty good scooter. Feel free to use my coupon code, Funcentric if you decide to go with an Inmotion product.

r/ElectricScootersShould I invest in this scooter?

Isn't the KQI a pretty good one with decent speed and build? NIU gives me the impression that its a higher quality brand than Kukirin (who can't even get their naming right, Kukirin vs Kugoo Kirin, Kugoo). keep in mind there is no app for Kukirin so you aren't gonna get any OTA updates. I got a Kukirin G2 Max. The display died before even 1000km. The company sent me a new one but not before doing some tests, like reseating the connections. But the worst part was they made me open up the scooter which meant ripping up some of that rubber mat and then they wanted me to check the voltage on the battery and charger. I'm half handy so I was willing to do this, but WTF? You want a customer to check voltage with a multimeter? When I checked the charger it gave me a HUGE spark. Naw fk that. I enjoy the scooter but, the design decisions are weird. I bought new shocks so I disassembled the front. And to my surprise the bolt and the nut on the front axle don't use the same size socket! In a sense it meant that I could use a socket wrench on both sides when tightening/loosening the nut but its just weird. It made it feel like its put together with whatever parts they could find. Not sure if other scooters are like that? G2 Master would just rip with those motors. too fast for me to be comfortable on those tiny wheels.
