Ola S1 pro is the close comp to ather, but you know how it is with Ola, bakki ellam hub motor anu, not that great Ather is the way to go! If commuting and city limits matrm ollu enki. 450x is a no brainer, pinne ichirude bigger/space venel you can check out rizta by ather itself.

Using Ola since three years and no major issues.

my Ola s1pro is running strong…not a harsh user though..As it says if it’s running it keeps on running…I have a service centre near to my flat…😬…but as per general feedback if these scooters gets to service centre,forget about it 😅…i have a bike and car too..this one is for short trips..personally I like ride and design of Ola compared to aether…design wise another scooter which i liked is recently launched tvs Jupiter even though it’s not electric…Ather is a safe bet among all electric scooters ,but i didn’t like their subscription model

Definitely not ola. Mine went dead due to heavy rain water intrusion and had to sell for scrap. All that ip68 is BS.

Due to heavy rain water intrusion, warranty is not applicable. I had only third party insurance

I've been in worse situations with ice vehicles. Trust me they are very much repairable and don't cost a bomb. The battery ola quoted was 80,000.

You need something with *atleast* 85kms of claimed range in a drivable mode. If an electric with that much range fits in the budget then def go for that. You would be happy with the flexibility it will offer you over using the bus for college. DO NOT get an ola. They are horrible with reliability and even worse with service. Iqube or the new chetak would be my choice. Both athers are better but also more expensive. Remember you are choosing between electric vs bus and not electric vs petrol rn The battery cost is not a big deal imo. Its around a 20k expense that will come after atleast 7 years

Don’t go for Ola. As long as it doesn’t have a problem, it’s super nice and the rides are lovely. But once it starts encountering issues, service centres will give you a very hard time as they neither have sufficient manpower to look into it/ repair nor parts to replace.
