Roadrunner RX7 hands down. Buy once, cry once. https://preview.redd.it/4kc9z2cd5g5g1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5146d2189d0ac9bba46d272c6fee4efe8c4af6a4

I have the First batch Roadrunner RX7. They have fixed the issues with the new ones coming out now. The Teewing XTR is the best bang for your dollars in my opinion. I only got the RX7 because I need to carry it up a flight of stairs and it has a removable battery plus a latch.

There aren't any scooters out there with an 80-90 mile real-world range. Scooting 30 miles a day, twice, is an incredible amount of use. Ausom isn't going to cut it, and neither will any other budgety penny-pincher you come across. If you actually want to go forward with this, you need something like a Roadrunner RX7 (even though I don't specifically recommend it) with a removable battery. You can get your 30 miles of range easily, as long as you're not doing 60mph the whole way, and you can charge it at work. Even if you do this, you'll be putting new tires on it every two months, and brake pads every couple of weeks. The miles will stack up quickly, and you'll be lucky to get a couple of years out of it.

r/ElectricScootersI analyzed 1 year of electric scooter recommendations on Reddit (Nov 2024–2025). These are the top 20

Due to the lack of UV protection in the clearcoat, the paint on my Roadrunner RX7, purchased in January of 2025, has already faded. I have reached out to Roadrunner to address this issue under warranty, as it occurred within the first six months. However, despite it now being the end of November, the matter remains unresolved.

INMOTION RS is the go to for super scooters. It’s getting a little long in the tooth now though. It’s waiting on a “refresh” to upgrade some components like the screen and wiring harness. I just ordered the Teverun 7260R, that has some really cool features like a built in GPS module that can geofence your scooter or give you an alert if someone takes it. It’s also probably the most powerful 72v production scooter available right now and has the best battery with a 60AH pack with a high discharge rate that allows for moddability. There’s the NAMI Burn-E Max 3. NAMI is the scooter company Apollo wishes it was. Build quality and engineering is next level. Super fast, built like a tank. Everyone who has one around here loves theirs. There’s the Roadrunner RX7 which is the equivalent of a riced out Honda Civic, it has Lumilor panels that are like massive LED sheets and it comes with Italian PMT tires and upgraded brakes as well as a removable battery. It had some issues when it first came out but they appear to be working out the kinks. There’s also stuff like the Kaabo WK-GTR or the Mars XTR but I’m not super versed on them. That’s just a few off the top of my head. Obviously I’m gonna push the 7260R because it’s what I chose but hyperscooters fill a lot of niches and I’d look into it more to see what you want.

r/ElectricScootersWhat scooter would you give a 10/10? What brand in general would you give a 10/10?

Depends on how you interpret "perfect 10". Could mean absolutely perfect, or just the best for a specific use-case. For me, the Apollo Pro (2023) is near perfect because I live in Seattle and use my scooter to commute. I care about: * Rain (high IP rating) * Hills (power) * Bad roads (big tires/suspension) * Visibility (it's dark here) Only downsides: * No BMS control for max SoC * Built-in navigation would be nice but minor issue * Charger is bulky, takes up lots of backpack space Quick thoughts on other scooters I've tried: Segway GT2: * Love it almost as much as the apollo pro but IP rating is a blocker for me * Slightly more stable at high speed than Apollo Pro * Poor regen feel * Half-twist throttle makes it unsafe for new riders Segway GT3 Pro: * Regret buying this, hate riding it * Acceleration curve is scary and not adjustable so expect to be constantly throwing your weight forward and back * Traction control seems broken * Could be great with software update but currently feels unsafe * Might be fine for heavier riders, but at 155 lbs in wet/bumpy conditions, avoid * Turn signals don't auto-cancel * Great BMS * Nice ride on stable ground * Screen is excellent Roadrunner RX7: * Similar issues to GT3 Pro * Bad acceleration curve * Power adjustment reduces top speed unnecessarily * Manual turn signal switch instead of auto-cancelling button

I'm telling you you've got to make the switch and get a full-on dual C-type suspension dual motor one. Yes they start the cheapest one you can get is about $1,000 delivered but go on Facebook marketplace look around here. You can always find good deals. My first, and I call them the full size e-scooters, I had traded my Trek mountain bike for a Varla Eagle One. That's hat did it for me. Then I found a Arbiwon GT08 on FB with only 7 mi les on it for $400, that a lot of people like to talk crap about how cheap it is, but that's people who haven't ever driven one that thing halls but with 5,600 dual suspension has a regenerative brakes has the horn turn signals brake lights hydraulic brakes, regenerative braking. Then most recently I found, what I think is the best scooter for the money, the Zondoo Gobee Z001pro for $500 on FB as well. Now that scooter new runs anywhere from $1,600 $2,000. But honestly that one comes with everything you can think of with 6,000 watts of power and optional seat you can screw in or take off comes with the adjustable steering dampener already on a|~€~`~~~~ built in. And just the acceleration and smoothness and how rugged it's built the 10-in fat tires. Put it this way I went and test drove the roadrunner RX7 I think mine rides almost just as well and as fast. Now the RX7 I think has a top speed into the '60s because it's a 72 volt. My andz001 pro tops out at 58 mph
