RS6 ultra 2900. What I bought. Upgrading from a Nui Kqi
The rs6 easily. it has a higher top speed..even with 60v. It comes with 11 inch Pmt tires. The hiley has these ugly knobby tires. Roadrunner has superior build quality. 4 piston nutt brakes and kke adjustable suspension. For the extra 500 or so dollars you will get your money's worth.
Bigger tires impact bumps better, producing a more seamless ride combined with suspension options, with the best being exa form 291r for adjustable rebound damping; Comes standard on the maxfun 10max, for example. Or roadrunner's rs6. Exaform's suspension is also easy to swap out for softer or stiffer versions as an aftermarket upgrade to accomodate your personal preference as a heavier or lighter rider if necessary 11" tires handle better than 10", but you might find 10" works fine for you. Ultimately it will boil down to you as the rider, how you ride and your preferences. 11" generally has deeper tread grooves. 99% of scooter tires are a rugged nylon bias tire construction, with only pmt selling radial rubber. The nylon bias is designed to produce durability at the sacrifice of comfort. Beyond tire composition, Which tread you get won't really affect how you handle bumps, but I suggest a steering damper and 10-11" tires for an optimal bump handling to tire/motor torque ratio(a smaller tire couples with higher torque from less energy required to turn it) Ulip, tuovt, cst tires are all great, its up to you as the consumer to find the best deal from your preferred vendor. Aliexpress, ebay, Amazon, etc. You dont want to overpay on scooter tires. And you want to buy the self-healing lined versions for an extra few bucks so you can just pull nails out and keep rolling. Tubeless & self-healing is key, more important than which brand you choose. Besides the proper tread for any given season of year or offroad vs street riding application, Its hard to go wrong with tires, but I did catch china offering a bad option once not really meant for scooters. A few of us on here noticed it would burn out after 5 miles, it was slightly larger than specifications too, too big for the advertised rim really.
The gt3 pro has subpar suspension and is completely underpowered. Get a roadrunner RS6U, removable battery, 55mph, real suspension. Will do 15 miles full power no problem. I live in SF and the thing flys uphill.
Yeah, ngl it makes me a bit nervous. I was aware of the situation and bought one anyway. I’m about 4500 into the thing with extended warranty and a few spare parts that I grabbed with it. Everyones financial situation is different, for me it seemed worth the risk. I’m hoping for the best, supposedly there should be some further announcements later this week or next. I can’t say enough about the scooter performance and features, for my needs it’s absolutely perfect. It would be a huge shame if they go under, nobody makes a 60 or 72v scooter quite like the roadrunners. There’s other decent stuff out there, but the idea of buying spare parts off aliexpress makes me cringe. And the fact so many spares are available seems awfully suspicious. I like the gt3p a lot, but a few features really bother me. If roadrunner goes tits up I might grab a gt3p, but I really want a modular battery.
I said 15 miles no problem. It can go about 25 real world, up huge hills, dual motor full power setting. I track my battery usage with strava, I have good data. The Segway isn’t a bad scooter, it just isn’t a great scooter. Why build a 70v scooter and then limit it to 50mph? So no I have to figure out how to jailbreak the thing and ruin the warranty? Why not just build a real hyper scooter out of the box? It bothers me. I haven’t ridden one, the consensus between the youtubers is that the suspension is lacking. The roads between my house and work are horrendous and littered with rail crossings, my scooter handles it without issue over 40mph. I narrowed my decision to the gt3p, the fighter 11, and my rs6u. I’m very pleased with my choice. The other ones are probably fine, I just like mine better.
I bought the road runner RS6 a few weeks ago! So far it’s been super fun zipping around town, tried to take it 6mi to work once, and with a steering damper that’ll be no problem! But I do cat sitting in my free time so it’s perfect for getting a couple miles away not having to worry where to park and to the gym and yoga it’s just awesome, plus I can keep up with any car as long as we’re not in the highway haha
