Of course: Segway E2 Pro 🛴
r/ElectricScooters • Do people still buy name brands? ->Based on the price, this is pretty good basic hily area will be OK smoothly can ride, but if high hill type of place means, maybe will have some problem
r/ElectricScooters • Do people still buy name brands? ->That's strange. I've been on that thing with two people and it got up the steeper parts of the hill with about 15km/h. Not amazing but absolutely serviceable considering it can't go faster than 20km/h anyways
r/ElectricScooters • Just bought a Segway Ninebot E2 Pro, turns out that was the wrong choice ->Guess it's software limited to 20 where I'm living. I guess the weight might be the reason then.
r/ElectricScooters • Just bought a Segway Ninebot E2 Pro, turns out that was the wrong choice ->I did update it but this is also my first escooter so its pretty beatup and im looking for something that can go on the road and me not have to worry about being to slow where i live to go down town i have to cross a highway and right now the e2 pro just is not cutting it for a safe enough speed for crossing it and i would love not to have range anxiety anymore but i really do appreciate the advice
r/ElectricScooters • Looking to upgrade from Segway E2 Pro — need long range, big deck (size 15 shoes), and tubeless tires for rough roads ->The e2 Pro is a great scooter. However, if you're in for many larger hills you're going to get disappointed. Not because the scooter aint good, it'lll tackle hills. But it has a 275Wh battery which is about half of the Max G2. You can see some range tests [https://aridejunkie.com/segway-ninebot-e2-e2plus-review/](https://aridejunkie.com/segway-ninebot-e2-e2plus-review/)
r/ElectricScooters • Do people still buy name brands? ->Luckily 100% of my commute is on perfect roads, this does literally everything I want it to, except it lacks power
r/ElectricScooters • Just bought a Segway Ninebot E2 Pro, turns out that was the wrong choice ->18% hill climbing seemed like enough but it turned out it was not
r/ElectricScooters • Just bought a Segway Ninebot E2 Pro, turns out that was the wrong choice ->This is true, it’s a damn good scooter in terms of almost everything except the motor power tbh
r/ElectricScooters • Just bought a Segway Ninebot E2 Pro, turns out that was the wrong choice ->I have the same scooter. You should be able to update the firmware to unlock 19mph. Maybe you purposely didn’t, but just wanted to let you know they put out a firmware update.
r/ElectricScooters • In a world full of hyperscooters, feel free to pick up a 16 mph cruiser ->No it’s a legit update. If you connect the Segway app to your scooter (which you should have had to when you got it or it limits it to like 9mph) then scroll over to updates. It should be available. No hacking at all.
r/ElectricScooters • In a world full of hyperscooters, feel free to pick up a 16 mph cruiser ->Bro everyone thinks they are a speed demon. I just rode my Ninebot E2 Pro $450 15.5 mph max speed around town and I had a blast. No issues going up hills. Going down hills I saw the speedometer go to at least 25mph. That is fast enough for me. But really I like how comfortable and smooth the ride is. Easy to steer, extremely sturdy. Also I turn off Regen braking and TCS I just like the pure ride feel. And I charge to 100% and drain battery damn near empty every ride. I just use the scooter and it's been treating me well so far.
r/ElectricScooters • In a world full of hyperscooters, feel free to pick up a 16 mph cruiser ->Again, I'm kinda discouraged that you didn't tell us anything about your purchase decision, like your criteria or budget. You merely asked about one of the top 3 worst scooters in the last few years. I wish your question would have been more broad. Having said that, this would be an infinitely better scooter from Walmart in every way for $399. r/ElectricScooters • Are electric scooters worth it? ->I got a [Segway Ninebot E2 Pro](https://store.segway.com/kickscooter-e2-pro) a few months ago and it's been great. A few weekends ago I rode to FDR Park and back to Rittenhouse (about 8 miles roundtrip) and I still had 40% battery left, so it's got a good range! It's sturdy and more reliable than a lot of the Amazon ones. Currently on sale too.
r/philly • I want one of those dorky electric scooters. There's so many out there. Can someone recommend one for riding short distances through South Philly? ->Haven’t checked the Honey Whale but you’re over the payload for the E2 Pro, and 5kg inside the max for Xiaomi 4 Pro. You *can* ride over the recommended max weight but they safety tested at this point. If the Inmotion S1f is available, this would be ideal for your commute (140kg payload) & not too heavy to carry (24kg). Otherwise, if this over budget there, would stick with the Xiaomi 4 Pro, as they’re reliable. You will probably notice a slight drop in top speeds and get 40-50% max range at best. Not to mention uphill, if you have any on the commute will be impacted.
r/ElectricScooters • E-scooter recommendations? ->That’s weird, the US site does say 265lbs/120kg, but all the other Segway sites (EU, UK, Ireland, Australia etc) say 220lbs/110kg. The D/E/F series (minus F2/F2 Pro) aren’t the best from Segway, people here advise to avoid them but the E2 Pro is alright for a short commuter option. Usually the G30lp/G30 are recommended, then G2 Max. At your size, consider the deck space and stem height too.
r/ElectricScooters • E-scooter recommendations? ->Get the E2 Pro nothing else in this price range!!
r/ElectricScooters • Which scooter to buy? Need advice ->The Segway e2 will serve your purpose just fine, just try not to deliberately ride through deep rain puddles.
r/ElectricScooters • Thoughts on the Segway E2? ->E2 and E22 are good entry level.
r/ElectricScooters • So what's the consensus on the Ninebot Max G2 nowadays? ->I would strongly disagree. As mentioned, the E22 is a derivative of the ES series. It's better built and fixes some of the ES's *many* problems, but retains some of the important ones, including the frankly backward concept of keeping all the electronics and heavy battery in the stem - where it screws up weight balance and makes it a nightmare for maintenance. The E2 has a more traditional build, but it's just weak. 24V powertrains shouldn't be included on anything larger than mini-scooters for kids. Ninebot are a mixed bag like that - they make some really great products, and at the same time some really crappy ones. I'm convinced the RnD department is split in two, or may actually be two branches of the company, and neither knows what the other one is up to. I can't otherwise explain how Ninebot are responsible for the scooter we most suggest (G30) and at the same time the scooter we most laugh at (ESx).
r/ElectricScooters • So what's the consensus on the Ninebot Max G2 nowadays? ->It all depends on your budget, commute, and how heavy you are. Tiny dude doing short trips on flat pavement? You can get something small like a Ninebot E2. I myself have the Apollo City 2023. It's got dual motors so can get my >90kg ass up hills and all the way to the city. I used to have the Ninebot Max G2. It was a solid scooter, just didn't have enough power for hills.
r/melbourne • What e-scooters does everyone have? ->I've been using my partner's Segway Ninebot eScooter to commute to work regularly for two summers now and have been very happy with it. He bought it locally at Best Buy. It's definitely not the cheapest eScooter, but I'd say it's worth it!
r/Winnipeg • Electric Scooter Recommendations? ->I’d go with the [Segway Ninebot](https://www.reddit.com/r/Calidad_Precio/comments/1j2ltqy/best_electric_scooters_for_college_in_2025/). It’s got great range, solid speed, and rides super smooth. Perfect for getting around campus without worrying about charging all the time. Check out [this post.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Calidad_Precio/comments/1j2ltqy/best_electric_scooters_for_college_in_2025/) Hope is helpful! :D
r/ElectricScooters • Best e-scooter for a college student ->Segway is good but this is a kids' scooter. The weight limit is 50kg, so unless you're a preteen or a **very** small adult, this probably isn't the scooter for you. It's not built to handle an adult's weight, and it will feel slow even at top speed. The motor is only 260W. The Segway Ninebot line has good brand recognition, and a reputation for not needing much maintenance. But that comes at a premium. If you're on a budget, I'd go for a different brand. P.S. I assume this is in Canada. Your city [probably has scooter laws](https://apolloscooters.ca/blogs/news/electric-scooter-laws-2024-in-canada-everything-you-need-to-know) that limit you to around 25km/h or 500W (treating them as motorcycles past that in some cities, so you'll need a license and insurance). So it's most likely a bad idea to get something too expensive anyway; you're really only paying for more power past $800 or so. The one linked here is a good option.
r/ElectricScooters • Review of this e scooter. ->Depending on your weight, and how hilly Ann Arbor is, I'd probably aim for a cheaper dual motor scooter - the Inmotion climber or the Kaabo Mantis 8 both come to mind. If you're lighter, or mostly in flat area, the Segway Ninebot line has a lot of happy users. You mention you're not handy - I'd advise learning just a little bit of maintenance on the scooter, since it really is easy to do and you don't have much else protecting you on one! Basic stuff like wiping it down when it gets dirty and checking/filling tire pressure will go a long way. You can pick up a cheap electronic air compressor that doubles as a power bank to help with that, and every manufacturer should have videos or writeups on regular maintenance. The big problem is that, unlike a bike, you probably don't have a shop you can take it to for repairs near you - even if there's a bike shop with ebike repairs, they don't necessarily service scooters too.
r/ElectricScooters • Best e scooter for 21 year old college student looking to zip around Ann Arbor. (Cyber Monday deals appreciated) ->If it's just to commute to work get a Segway ninebot or NIU like most people.
r/ElectricScooters • First time looking into E-Scooters, need help and recommendations. ->Ninebot is made by Segway. It’s branded. I also love my ninebot.
r/ElectricScooters • Do people still buy name brands? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
